If you ask me, they should get rid of immunity altogether. Anying invincible just wrecks game balance. e.g. mammoth overdrive.

Railgun and Hornet are 2 different things. The xp-bp format restriction was to target Railgun user, not Hornet users. The Hornet OD is beneficial for every turrets and I think there is still a big liking for Viking hull, even with the OP Hunter.

At low level, when you buy a kit you get the turret and its protection so it should be 50/50.
For railgun devs went even further by removing xp-bp format (below mk7) so players will not be drawn to buy this turrets in the early stage. But it is an efficient turret deadly at any range, so that won't be enough.

The other option is to make other turrets stronger indirectly, enhance this new augments.

The other option they should try is to reduce the cost of protection modules in parallels, this will allow more of them in the game.  Everything is tightly entwined now.

Since I now have no protection from afterburn (every firebird will have compact tanks), there's no point in equipping Fox.

So I'll continue to equip protections vs 3 turrets that can kill me before I know they are there. Rail/Gauss/Shaft with honorable mentions Magnum & Vulcan

I agree. Rail/Gaus/Thunder for me. But I adapt depending of the map, Magnum, Vulcan and more and more smoky nowadays.

I use smoky in Pro-battles.  It' not uncommon to see 50% of enemy team equipped with that protection.

As an aside - Sam was saying no more funds in ANY Pro-Battles.  That true?

Nice, they finally listened to us lol. But the prices aren't good anymore... ?

 

Ngl, it kinda makes it look like this was all planned out or something, just so that they could make the Augments more expensive..

Interesting how 15% of the players and 100% of the "helpers" tink this is a good update.  While the other 85% of the players ... not so much.

All things have some advantages and disadvantages points. Not everyone likes everything, but in my opinion this update is better than the previous update. Atleast augment are back in the garage again. I know many non-buyers disappointed because of the hull augment but i want to told you i am non-buyer too but it's just depends on your perspective how you take this update in a positive or negative way.

From what I understand, all alterations are still in containers. So now you just have more ways to get them. Granted - it's not easy and the TK prices aren't realistic for a F2P player, but you CAN get them from containers.
