Punishment for Tank Stalling

Recommended Posts

As we battle climate change, it is important that we minimize the amount of greenhouse gases that are exerted from tanks. Although a carbon tax would eliminate the entire playerbase overnight, tanks should begin overheating (very similar to vulcan overheating) if they sit still for extended durations of time. This would be good to decentivize camping and multing.

Declined

Way too over realistic for the current state of the game. It would be way too odd to implement a single realistic feature. Tanks could be made out of ceramic materials too which do not rust and thus would have totally different properties with heating and wearing out of armor, simply way too realistic for the current game. It would rather bring up confusions as to why this or that is happening.

But have you actually fully read the main post and not just the first two sentences?

Our job is to objectively and with impartiality review the players' ideas to the very best of our ability and knowledge, regardless of subjective views of others. As you may disagree with something, someone else may agree with it — that's just how the world works. At the end of the day it all boils down to the direction in which the game is heading, relative to which we take our position and point of view when approaching an idea and providing our constructive take on it.

But the real question I have for you is why did you reply with this: "But have you actually fully read the main post and not just the first two sentences?", thus implying that I'm some kind of conspiracy theorist who denies global warming (as the first sentence in the OP is literally about climate change).

You've made a post implying that the OP was clearly trolling, and that Thiedes apparently "fell for it". As much as the intial phase of the idea is sarcastic (which I think is pretty creative by the OP), it ends being genuine and valid in itself (and thus being reviewed) - proposing a system to disincentivize camping and multing in the game.
No, Ap3x, you are not being referred to as a conspiracy theorist denying global warming.

But anyway, enough on that, my initial point was that the OP's idea was, at least to me, obviously sarcastic, so why did Thiedes bother to even consider it as a serious suggestion?

See the above part of this post.

Anyway, I would politely ask you not to go off-topic, as any such further posts will be promptly removed.

Tanks freeze at inactivity in winter maps.

Whats the point if winter map? to make mammoth+freeze+chill bro memes? NO! well the logic is inactivity leads to shutting down engine to conserve fuel which leads to cooldown so in winter maps this cooldown can lead to freezeing like in freeze. this would also take care of campers in winter maps and make them special. So..... declined or valid? (lemme pluck a few flowers)

Add large CO2-free zone. Only green powered tank can circulate in these zones.
You will need to buy a special Hull Augment converting your fossil fuel powered engine with a GPL (medium hull) or electric powered engine (Lightweight hull): let's call them Green Power Augment.
But the best would be the Green Fermented Potato Juice powered Engine for heavy hulls. You need energetic juice to power these beasts.
