To remove the ability to spawn-kill in tanki.

Recommended Posts

Often in tanki matches, the main strategy of the players is to kill the enemy team. A simple and easy way to do this, is to make sure your team has more players at any given time than the other. This is easily achieved by spawn-killing, or killing players as soon as they spawn. This, in my opinion, is not fair. To fix this, I suggest adding logic, so that players will only spawn at places where enemies are over "x" distance away. This would keep them from locking onto, burning, freezing, hammering, or anything-ing anyone as soon as they spawn. This would also keep anyone from driving through the spawning player to drop a mine beneath them. It would also help, if the teams would be purposefully arranged to keep them from being uneven rank wise, or in terms of game score. This would prevent one team from being so powerful, that you end up with 70-12 matches in 2:00. Thank you for considering this request.

A spawn protection system has already been implemented some time ago, to prevent the issue of spawn-killing — granting players a temporary invulnerability from all forms of damage during the initial first few second spawn period (after materialising). The only thing that can completely ignore its functioning is Hornet's overdrive (at least as of now).

Idea invalid. Closed.
