Oh so very disappointing.

My 3rd container for the week.  Worse than a football paint.   Even worse than a shot effect for a turret I will never use.  Oh well.

Then why play MM? Play PRO battles. Much moree funnnnnnnnnnnn.

Well, for one very big reason, Pro Battles and the Battle List are locked at my current rank.  Pro Battles open up at Rank11 or WO1.

After I achieve my current goal of getting to WO1, I may very well use this acct to play some Pro Battles, but one still needs to play MM battles to complete missions to generate enough income to stay competitive...unless you send in cash and just buy competitive.  I think the major advantage of getting to WO1 is that you can start Pro Battles and only have to put up with MM a much shorter time clearing missions and participating in lucrative events.  So yeah, Pro good...me like.

An aside: I like your name ?

Not worse than a paint - you may eventually use batteries later (much later).  Keep accumulating them from now on and it becomes a decent nest-egg.

Unlike paints.  Let's be honest - how many of the paints in out garage do we catually use?  I probably have 60 paints and I might use 5 of them - swapping them out every other month or so.

Thx) Do you own them too? : D

No, but they are pretty cool...living dinos...well, pre-dinos.  They look like Chinese dragons to me.  I live in Asia and there are a lot of people that do keep them in offices and restaurants...and homes too, I imagine.

Done.  I'm at WO1.  The progress of my journey is on the first post in the spoilers (I added each day by editing) along with my conclusions at the bottom outside the spoiler.

Lockdown 3.0 is almost over and we will all go back to normal 1X XP and 1X battle funds.  This account served it's purpose and allowed me to play Tanki for a couple of weeks without ranking up too quickly on my real account.  It was fun most of the time and tedious some of the time.  Some things surprised me and some things were exactly as I expected.

That being said, one of the biggest obstacles to having fun in the game is the rank brackets in many battles.  They are just too wide.  It is almost impossible to compete with players that are five and six ranks above you.  They have had many many more hours to build up crystals and upgrade their higher Mk level equipment.  They also have lots more supplies.  It is just not even close to balanced when there are six, seven, and even eight different ranks in a battle together.

Been saying this for over a year now.

Longer waiting times is fine when you have much better battles.  Otherwise, players just exit.  What's the point?

Nope, lower. When both the crystals and xp are relatively high, the rate of everything else is relatively low. You earn less daily mission prize per xp/crystal earned in a battle. Hope you understand it now.

I actually started a new account a few months ago and I would say it is extremely easy to earn crystals. Of course buyers will have more but you can easily be beter than say 75% of players in a battle. At least I, as a f2p player, can. Those 3 points are all not needed. Of course buying makes it easier, but trust me, you can dominate battles as a f2p player especially in lower ranks.

The daily and at least one weekly missions are essential to being able to compete at all as a casual.

The 7 minute thing is a result of MM (...) There would be dozens of players quitting in even the 10 minute battles.  They finally landed on 7 minutes because I guess their numbers told then that a high enough percentage of players would grit their teeth and bare it to finish a battle rather than bail when each battle was so short.  (...)  By the time you are sick of getting thrashed by some guy seven ranks above you, the battle only has a couple of minutes left, so you stick it out for the mission.

What Tanki is doing here does not only serve to keep the game vital, but also is a great and appreciable contribution to human society as a whole. This way, Tanki educates young people that life is not always easy, and that when things get tough, you must not quit but persist to move on.

The game does show unfairness in life, but I wouldn't say it can be considered as education. In the end it is just a game. One can learn several things of life from a certain (game)community, but the true lessons of life can be learnt in many ways and through many environments in the world. Eventually, we humans are knowledge seekers and we try to find lessons and knowledge via all kinds of ways, mostly the ones we prefer or that happen to you

Every second of your life is potentially educational, but some moment are more educational than others. Tanki offers a different experience, in many level and a lot more than a simple card game like War (card game). It will not covers experience over weddings and divorces, but some other emotion like friendship and betrayal. By playing tanki you will discover the marketing techniques to sale promotions that are not great bargains, the difference between currencies (the same item do not have the same price for everybody).... and of course you will learn a lot about the Russian folks. ?
