Recommended Posts

There are a few changes in the characteristics of the «Defender» drone:

  • Effect duration time was decreased from 20 seconds to 15 seconds;

  • Now consumes 2 more «Double Armour» supplies;

  • The recharge time was decreased from 20 seconds to 3 seconds.

it's not balance, only #paytowin

I think people are aware of the inevitable end of Flash. I don't blame them for liking it more tbh; I personally do, but my accounts don't work on there unfortunately. For me, HTML5 has way too much going on. I know it's still in it's early days, but it's cluttered to hell and I hope over time it's gets simplified. I dread having to deal with HTML5 when I actually decide to play and right now it's just one of those things I don't enjoy currently. But with that said, again, I don't believe people are ignoring the fact that Flash is about to go out the door, and I believe they understand why no work will be put into it.

Yup I know, but I wonder why they implement these updates nobody asked for instead of fixing the problems we all know about (MM, unbalanced stuff, etc).

I end up liking the status effects indication. More information can be gathered in a short time to decide and time movements. Not bad, actually.

This is gonna be especially helpful against enemies with Hunter, Mammoth, or Wasps who have their overdrives at 100%. Also, I'm a full time user of the Defender drone, and I agree it needed a nerf. It's a huge advantage over those who aren't using Defender, so 15 seconds is a good thing not for me personally. but for the balance of the game.

you dont need drugs to win rounds. i can prove that, you need skills.

your the coward here using drones i have met u in battle using full drugs n maxed defender. you r the reason why they nerfed it. i hope they nerf it more so i can kill u more n more. you are nothing without ur drugs and drones buddy 

and they disabled solo jugg so theres no more ppl jugg hunting except for ender that dude is a true jugg hunter and leaves when he dies and leaves if he dosnt start the round as jugg smh so go ahead and hunt him if u want

ty for status updates now i can kill juggs more easily as i can see when they have used thier ODs and they in turn can see vikings with OD and be more wary.

looks like ppl will have to actually be more sneaky now which is good.

i can also kill those noob wasps, and hunters who have OD and have it hidden and place it at golds now ppl will target them which i am happy about

So you didn't nerf my drone, really, you just balanced it out buy making it more expensive? GJ devs. This doesn't need balancing, it all needs removal.

yea its not good at all. the drug system is so messed up . you can't even tell when you can activate drugs . one minute you have them equip then there gone . I normally can get a 1 tier completed with in a hour so far i'm only 28 % completed . its just a waste. if you wanted to remove or have  less drugs in game then cut back on giving. but it will end up buyers over non-buyers . right now its ok.. but later its going to end up ...only buyers playing..trust me it wont even be this seeing you have changed the mechanics of the game so much its getting impossible to battle now..

html isint that bad now, its still a long way off with its bugs n glitches but overall its playable hopefully they focus and prioritize on fixing these bugs and not release any more new updates until its phased out

I knew this change was gonna come, this drone seemed way too good, especially compared to the booster drone.

new issue with this system. is you get pulled into a battle in regular time but then no sooner you join the game it's over. your left with about 2 minutes more or less still to play in. making the games now only 3 to 4 minute long battles.. so where is the fun in playing now , its turning out to be a waste of my time to put money into a game when I get nothing out of it. I'm washing my money down the drain....

I can try to answer the one about the fairness for all player.

Well, unfortunately it is impossible to be fair with all players. Not on every feature of Tanki anyway. There is the pay to win part of it (premium, drones, product kit before f2p,...). That would be fair if product kit could be unlock at same rank for all. Drones are bloody expensive to upgrade and operates (battery plus extra supplies consumption). If you increase more the cost of it, it would be worse for F2P because even less accessible.

The main problem is that anything that is beneficial for F2P are actually also to the benefit of buyers (Missions, containers, ...). The only feature that is not P2W are the Overdrives, it is the same feature for all players and you don't have to pay for it, it is free (and no micro upgrades required). Somehow you don't want it. ? Furthermore ODs are the best tool to counteract powerful buyers. 
It is a competitive game, so if you made mistakes a the start you will suffer and every battle will seem unfair. Once I got a product kit it all got better. The other option if you are no too high in rank is to start again.

There is very little of that.  MM is terrible - they have implemented a horrible version of it.

And instead of fixing MM, they keep adding money-generating gimicks.

Restarting is an option, if you enjoy it, you can repeat any number of time (different combo, different friends).

MM is a system based on rank (maybe other parameter) and number of played in the queue. It is set up like this for variety and allow every level of skills to play. Unfortunately due to the low number and some group it allows a wider range of rank. But this is the same for both team, not only your team, they will also have low rank as well as high rank. Low ranks do not mean less skills or disadvantageous GS. Plus wide rank range was already existing prior to MM, it is not new.

The thing is due to the slow production process features area added one after another, therefore adjustment is needed even if it was something rightfully balance form the start. When something is OP, it has to be adjust, otherwise you will get more complaints. I would not say u-turn, more fine tuning at the best or keep things in tracks. The noticeable U-turn was self-healing, it was a good concept.  All in all tweaks will always be part of this game.

Let me stop you right there.

You keep avoiding the fact that ODs combine with the P2W features to make buyers even more powerful.

For instance... hornet is considered 'weak' by some, so it's allowed to have an OP OD.  But combine it with the P2W Defender drone, and hornet is no longer "so weak" right? Thus it's able to use the full 20 seconds of OD way more often than average Joe sans Defender.   The ODs just widen the gap in power.  And this is just one example.

it's like a team that is winning - they generate their ODs faster, and the battles get out of reach of the "losers" faster.  Positive-Feedback-Loop.

As I said, everything that is beneficial too F2P is also available to buyers (small or big). However buyers are also in your team, they will help you get OD faster, it is the same for both side.

TO remain a competitive team game so Joes and such are most of the time not going to be the strong heroes. This is why the large rank MM battles is made for, to put different level of strength in the same team. It is up to each player to play their best and contribute to their level (strategy, team work, right decision and right equipment). I have saved our Juggernaut many time by  shielding it with my hull. Even a weak person can do that. If I had Dictator i wold have activated the OD near it...
