Am I right in assuming that buyers can still buy-and-use-in-battle supplies from recruit rank? While non-buyers can't even find supply drops in battle? This just expands in power and extends in time the gap between buyers and non-buyers.

This will even more frustrate the players who are unable or unwilling to buy.

However, those who could conceivably buy a bundle of supplies will be even more tempted and pressured to do so, right from rank one, even if they are reluctant at first. Don't tell me you cunning bastards didn't think of that.

I guess it was in the vlog that they mentioned that supply drops in those low-ranked battles will be removed and replaced with crystal-plus-xp boxes. That hasn't actually happened yet.

From 120k players down to 18k at peak time, it is indeed the vast majority. But they are not here anymore. I still play it and enjoy it. Legend level is not interesting (still too many players not turning their turrets in those), so I am not playing there anymore.

I say that 2017-present Tanki is the 'sequel game' to the old Tanki. It's sad but I can't accept the fact that the current Tanki is the Tanki we all used to love. I've hit legend rank on my high account and you're correct. It's boring and there's nothing special. This is why I now play on my low account which is slightly more fun.

I find it hilarious that you perpetuate the idea that supplies are something that's being exploited JUST BECAUSE of Hornet's OD when supplies have been (no matter where you are on that topic alone) a "thing" on their own. I have to agree with Double-6 and say that OD's need to find the door (it's not a far-fetched idea; if you can't really balance them or ignore issues like everyone seems to mention Hornet's OD being THAT much more powerful, so why continue to allow them to stay in the game???? Not to say that's where he's coming from, but that's my outlook on it), and I'm not even a buyer, so don't slap that label on me and you can't assume that everyone who objects your opinion is such. That just makes you look like a bit of a muppet. But, the current environment of this game is very disturbing at the very least. It's not just the OD's, there's a bigger picture here. If I had anything to do with development, I'd scrap everything and rebuild. Sure there's gonna have to be some form of monetization for example, but would it be as predatory and arbitrary as current? Nah. Would being a "buyer" give you such a significant edge over what MOST of the community is made up of; F2P? Nope. Would I be more willing to listen to every corner of the community and not just the ones who bring money to the table? No, because this platform is supposed to be for EVERYONE to enjoy. I think the devs have their priorities mixed up, and have had them mixed up for far too long and it needs to end, somewhere.

In the old time, a new release would replace the old outdated one. The new will have new and better graphics, new features, more resources consumed, ... and we would not be able to use the old one. Therefore we would have every 4-5 years a new exiting game (based on the same theme/concept). Now, the game is regularly updated with small updates and major ones. We could say that they were: the initial game with crystals boxes, then MM and now ODs. Drones, OD,... are ways to try to renew interest, to bring something special with more or less success. But it is also to earn money to keep the company running. In the past when you bought the new game you actually had to pay again for the same theme/concept and reward the company for his investment & development.
There is always a temptation to go back to before as now the technology could technically allow it. But this will be back to something we know, then it won't be special.

Because it's popular (more hornets than any other hull) and can cause a lot of chaos.  The Devs believe this Chaos will prompt players to spent $ to keep up.  Problem is - there's no amount of $ you can spend to prevent the hornet from killing you.  Spend 1M crystals on upgraded defender drone?  Won't make a lick of difference.

Hornet is the darling of TO - the Devs won't do anything to balance it - even though we've been asking for this for a long time.

I think the developers are waiting for the time when Hornets are the only hulls being used in battles, then they'll probably introduce a 10,000 Tankoin Hull augment for immunity against Hornet's protection ignore.

Shows there's either a a GREATER disconnect between the Devs and the playerbase than originally thought, OR blatant ignorance. Either way, that's a wild assumption for them to have with regards to the "chaos". Interesting point that you made.

And it appears that Hornet's OD is even more powerful than even I had initially thought of...I mostly play on my low ranked alt, and I was under the impression that it just allowed you to see the outlines of enemy players, giving away their position and such...a lack of thorough research on my part; I'm still very much behind on the current state of things.

Just finished a battle where it was obvious Group vs non-group.  Anyone who claims that Groups always fight other Groups is lying or has no clue what they are talking about.

They had THREE Gauss with augment stunning us while the runner grabbed flag and got away scott-free.  Battle was not even close - it was a laugher.  These are the "balances" that lead people to just give up and quit the game.

I genuinely laughed at the absurdity of visualizing a battle like that...I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be to be virtually "pinned" down from the start of a game to the end of it. Devs drinking vodka going, "State of the game is fine." LOL okay.

of course they did its all about the cash ....£$£$£$....the devs say one thing and mean a completely different one and thats in between there blatant decieving of players with there updates that they never really give you the complete lowdown on.
