it was probably just a prank, and the new drone won't appear in any of those

so new Drone is Boost + Defense + ???SB with no 3 sec or 15 sec limit, (while current defender drone nerf from 20s to 15s)

and with helper of supply drone friend, it will be a monster.

Wow, didn't expect the actual crystal boxes to make a comeback, and good that it's such a sensible way to bring them back.

No, it's Boost OR Defence OR speed. As soon as you activate one, the other supplies disable. We don't know what the cooldown will be, but that's the deciding factor in this drone's balance. If the cooldown is like 1 second, then you can rapidly switch between damage/armour/speed as needed, giving you potential to be a very powerful fighter. On the other hand, only being able to use one supply at a time is a significant weakness.

It's an interesting drone mechanic. Shame that the drone is only in containers.

It is basically the old game but a t low ranks, no drugs and crystals boxes. Some nostalgic nugs gonna keep making new account over and over again.

It is good practice to learn to catch drops in the long run and get use to drugs

Novelty Drone will be OP if it's exclusively in Ultras, only available to those willing to gamble big bucks. Another update that favours gambling Whales over any other buyer or f2p not willing to blow insane cash on 1 item. This game lacks respect for large sections of the player base that have supported it for years..

@Maf My thoughts exactly. It's pretty obvious what will be happening with the two Double supplies, but how do you think will the SB interaction work? Will you go Super Saiyan or something and just steamroll through an enemy base?

Anyway, I felt that this VLOG was much more concise and didn't beat around the bush. Other than the people already insistent on trashing/disliking it before it even came out, I get the feeling that most were actually pretty satisfied. We might have been in a trough a while back, but I can definitely see things changing for the better if the devs stay the course.

I'm wondering about this too. For years I thought that there can't be a "super speed boost" due to conflicts with the physics engine, but I guess that got resolved? I mean, it would work fine on most hulls, but I'm wondering about Wasp and Hornet.

Thing about crystal boxes is you'll get a whole load of players that left the game when cry boxes were removed coming back to the game just for that feature, plus new ones too, as it's a game in itself that appeals to a certain type of guy(each to their own I guess). So they start new accounts, mult around collecting boxes till they hit the rank where cry drops stop, then restart a new account.

Will be good target practice for newbies. Good idea.

As fast as the Juggernaut? The Juggernaut has no problem going faster than any other hull.
Will maybe work like with the Mammoth overdrive. It is faster with a Speed-boost.

Chart of current top speed (m/s) of hulls is without SB - bottom chart is with SB

Speed boost is +40% (1.4x), the Crisis drone would be likely to gradually increase to +50%.
Mammoth OD is +50% (1.5x).

~20m/s spacibe - as fast as the Juggernaut
Crisis drone in Speed mode, top speed per hull and stock modification. 20/20 MU with 1.6x Max for Wasp Mk7+ would be 20.2 m/s.
