Spectating the battles, read first plz!! COOL IDEA!!

This is a very unique idea which came to my mind, lets just get straight into it:

1) So the idea is that when u play XP/BP and their is no player to join more in that battle say " ZONE XP/BP 4v4 " so now that battle is full and others cant join it until someone leaves, their should an option of spectating its up to you guys you can either put the full free moving spectator mode or you can place the camera in such a place where players can see everyone moving around, but I think it will be a bit boring if you ask me, like what if no one leaves so you just wasted time waiting.Lets move to second idea it quite interesting.

2) Second one is the same but with a change, when u click the " SPECTATE " button there should be a thing just like in football stadium, there are seats around the field and these seats have levels in such a way that the head of the person in front doesn't come in the way, in the same way there should be a seating area around the map so the players who join spectating mode automatically go to that area and can see the battle, also when some one leaves the battle their should be a tag pop up on the spectator's screen that you are about to join the *example* team and the person who join first in the spectating mode should get first opportunity to play first. During the spectating period there should be a white board on the corner where the players could vote which team will win and the players who answer correct should get crystals in reward.I think it will be very interesting and it will draw more and more people to the game. Also the players who are in spectating mode should have their own chat bars so that the people playing don't get confused with so much messages popping up on their screen, both should have separate chats. The spectators should have a limit say 10 people can spectate at a time, and also when someone from the playing tea leaves an option to join the team should popup on the spectator's screen that whether he wants to join or not if not then the same message should go to the next player and vise versa.

NOTE: This mode should be available for  XP/BP formats and DR, XC, without format but not for parkour battles because their is no point for spectating in parkour battles.

So this was all of my idea wish you guys implement it in the game will be really appreciating and awesome  !!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!

Declined

Spectator mode in its current shape is not made for public use, so making it available for everyone would require a complete redesign of the feature. That being said, the idea has been suggested countless times before, so developers are already aware of it and it's possible that the new HTML5 version will get public spectator mode in the future. There is no point suggesting it though.

I didn't say it WILL happen. I'm just implying that the new capabilities of HTML5 will likely make it possible to implement spectator mode, if developers choose to do so.

How about making a "Spectator's Pass" in the Shop available for the low price of 10,000 Tankoins?

you guys just took the first point and reject it am talking about the second one and u say it will take too much time developing it from the start so then where will the players go if you guys just start thinking like that, and as i mentioned above in the points that,  tanki will get more popularity by implementing it. You guys don't have to touch the other spectator mode just go for the second point??? I think you haven't even read the whole idea then. Also i was not even saying to do something in the current spectator mode. NVM You have declined the idea so their is no point to discus it any more in this " UNFAIR FORUM AND GAME "!!!!

The decision is not necessarily final, and if your argument against my decision is reasonable, then I may revise and change the status of the idea.

That being said, your second idea isn't particularly strong either. It's very detailed, but you failed to consider the bigger picture:

  • Format battles are not very popular in the grand scheme of things. Less than 5% of total players regularly participate in them.
  • Adding physical spectator areas to maps requires a huge amount of work to edit these maps.
  • A lot of work will be required to develop this feature as a whole - making a separate chat, making sure that the spectators cannot go into the play area, making sure spectators cannot shoot or otherwise abuse their role.
  • Very few people actually want to just sit there and watch a battle. The demand for this feature is minuscule compared to the work that would be required to implement it.

Like I said in my first post, adding public spectator mode does exist in developers' plans, but it is a very low priority task and there is no guarantee it will ever be implemented.

With the uproar after the removal of crystals from format-battles one would think that % was much, much higher - more like 50%.

The "vocal minority"?

Yes, exactly. The vast majority of players never use the forum or even the game chat — they just come to the game to play some MM battles and do missions.

I'm the same when it comes to a few other online games besides Tanki — I play them every now and then or perhaps during special in-game events, but I couldn't care less about some small changes and niche features they add. And if they do something that makes me lose interest in the game, then I just stop playing it, without going to the forums and making a big loud "I AM LEAVING THIS STUPID GAME" topic.
