Get rid of tankoins

One thing that made TX extremely unbalanced between buyers and f2p is that buyers could purchase x-crystals, which are essentially impossible to obtain without buying, in large quantities. This extreme imbalance and garbage game economy was one of the many factors why TX died a quick death.

Meanwhile, the devs think they are smart by merely integrating x-crystals into TO, under the alias "tankkkoin." And we want it to happen here too?

The developers have already shown their hand when they attempted to make alterations only purchasable by tankoins. They are trying to reduce the value of regular crystals, which anyone can easily obtain, and have tankoins be the main currency for most purchases in the game. The devs clearly are trying to make this exactly like TX, where buyers are the only ones able to have tankoins and have huge advantages while regular players get destroyed because the equipment they can purchase using crystals is merely not enough. I foresee a near future where drones will be removed from the garage shop and instead by sold only for tankoins. The developers will create new gimmicks in the game that will provide a new facet of gameplay... but only for buyers since they will only be purchasable through tankoins. In the end, f2p will only be left with a turret, hull, paint, and module, but this will no longer be enough to make them remain competitive.

Tankoins is clearly a ploy to allow the developers to deceive the players. The developers can make the game as p2w as possible by making things only purchasable through tankoins, but the playerbase won't recoil as much at first because technically every player can obtain tankoins. It appears to be much better when the devs make things sold for tankoins rather than for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. However, this will tempt the devs to make the game as p2w as possible as quick as possible.

Get rid of tankoins if you want to extend the life of TO.

Its still kind-of okay for non-buyers except for one thing: The biggest problem is that kits are now buyer only. If one has to wait 200 days to buy a kit of their choice for crystals, well, in these 200 days most players would rank up several times, and that kit would be redundant, as one can then simply buy those items from the garage then. Making kits tankoin only was very bad decision.. It makes it impossible to do well against buyers with full MU kits, that they bought 4 ranks before the items unlock.

Tankoins provide the devs with a cover that it is technically accessible to F2P players, when its really not. You can't just grab a 300 tankoin item at 15 per week. Yes there are other ways to get Tankoins, but it does not add up to make it somewhat balanced. But now all new features will cost tankoins and can even be marketed under the false pretext of P2W (like the special mission).

All turrets can get their parameters adjusted to better fit into game balance. It's just a question of how soon it will happen. Obviously developers won't be removing a whole turret just because it's OP.

Developers will never remove a feature that they enjoy so much. They may end up balancing it if they are in the mood. If every daily mission would give you 10 Tankoins, buyers won't have as much of an advantage, so now that is totally unbalanced they have an excuse why not to remove the entire feature.

Tankoins is merely a ploy developers use to appease the playerbase when they come out with p2w updates. If they remove Tankoins, the unfortunately-stupid playerbase will suddenly realize that all of these updates are extremely geared towards buyers and making profits. Then, the developers will be unable to roll out so many terrible updates.

Would only care about tankoins if they could drop from containers. Right now - i just don't see the point in them. The only thing i can reasonably afford is the coinbox.

Tankoins = $, they are merely a way to simplify the use of local money in the game (especially for Mobile users - so they avoid the added 30% cost increase from Android). Removing tankoins is not the solution you are looking for, the P2W stuff will still be in the shop: instead of using tankoins you will use local cash. What you want here is to simply close the shop, if you close the shop, no more P2W possible. Since the Tankoins real cost has increased, therefore it is much more difficult for many buyers to buys P2W features. For F2P player it means less P2W in the game.

When you say "Get rid of tankoins if you want to extend the life of TO" that is incorrect logic, because without Tankoins/cash Alternative will close the company due to no money to pay its employees and therefore TO servers will closed down very quickly for sure. Nobody in TO would keep this game alive for free.

It is true, devs will be out of job, so they would not make new updates of the game, and the game will be closed. Nice logic here.

Correlation ≠ causation

Tanki X had to be shut down for multiple reasons, but the concept of in-game premium currency in itself was not one of those reasons. A large number of online games use such a feature, even the so incredibly popular and successful Fortnite has "V-bucks" as its premium currency.

I recall that in Tanki Online, addition of tankoins was necessary to allow discounts in the mobile version of the game, since android doesn't permit direct discounts for in-game purchases. This is why tankoins are always sold at a constant price, while actual discounts are applied to items you spend those tankoins on. I don't think anyone is really seeing these tankoins as an alternative to paying with real money, since, as @ILiveOnTheChatBox123 correctly pointed out, "you can't just grab a 300 tankoin item at 15 per week". But at least players do have the opportunity to get a consistent 6 free battle passes a year, since the weekly containers combined with the 100 tk challenge rewards could give you 3000+ tankoins a year.

Why anyone would torture themselves with completing all challenges without Premium account and without buying the gold tier is another question, but the opportunity does exist.

Sorry bro, but I will have to strongly disagree with you there. X-Crystals were pretty easy to obtain as long as you played in the long term. I know this because I was a dedicated Tanki X player. You could get X-Crystals from Weekly Login chains, Get them in free daily missions, and finishing a Leagued Season. X-Crystals were also not majorly pay to win as the main source of economy in-game were the original Blue Crystals. X-Crystals, sure you can buy some extra Blue Crystals with them, but the main purpose of them were to buy coatings, or skins, which add no additional stats to your current equipment. You could also buy extra Blueprint Containers, which were the true upgrading source of the game, but we can break this down. Like I mentioned earlier. You can achieve a lot in Tanki X by playing in the long-run. Not only just X-Crystals by playing Ranked Mode, you also received loads of Blueprint Containers at the end of each season, which can supply you with loads of modules. The game was also much easier for new players of the game. There was an automatic anti-flip feature to help you turn your upside-down tank back its tracks with momentum, kind of like in the game GTA5. There was also a laser you can enable for all turret to tell you if your were able to hit your targets or not. Most equipment in the game were very fair, until the Tanki X Development team became desperate for ideas to pull more players to play. They resorted to the Tanki Online Development team, and helped developed all sorts of ridiculous Modules which basically became the Drones and Overdrives in Tanki Online we see today. However, what ultimately led to the demise of Tanki X was the aggressive gaming industry war which the team of Tanki X simply could not compete with. The servers were not worth keeping open with the decline of players, which ended up with Alternativa closing their project. See here. Sorry for a random Tanki X history lesson.

On the other hand, ah, Tankoin Online. I have to say, THIS, is truly pay to win. You will literally take about 2 years of everyday play to save up enough Tankoins to purchase any Mk7 Kits in the Garage which is not equivalent to the amount of crystals you can save up in the time period, which is absolutely ridiculous. I agree that Tankoin Online should have never added Tankoins to the game. It serves no purpose but to mask the true price of the real money. They say it is because Google does not allow their apps have discounts on real money packages, which is a total lie. I have seen many Mobile, MOBA games with their offers with discounts at a cheaper price. If what TO said was really true, they can just make substitute title offers with the same content different price on certain days to show a discount. TO Devs also do not know what they are doing with the availability of Tankoins. Not everyone does eSports, not everyone wants to play a stupid pay to win game every day, and it left Tankoins with a widely wasted potential. Sorry about my rant. Case closed.

Needs to be more Tankoins in weekly containers. Amount of Tankoins realistically winnable by your average player is far too low. Can understand Tanki not wanting to screw up Tankoin currency like they did with crystals, but the chance of gaining a decent amount of Tankoin needs to be higher.

in my first times in Tanki in 2012 and forth, I was very like and love the thing in tanki different over all the games, that tanki only have 1 currency (Crystals) not like a lot of other games that have 2 currencies one of them easy to obtain and the other is near impossible in the past as I remember you can't buy anything from the Shop Except crystals and then use them in the garage, but now tanki is as the same as any other games and maybe worse and I agree with you for tankoins that you consider it as like real money ok, why the kits with crystals in Shop always 1 tier less than the kit with tankoins, No excuse?
