I wanted to complete the daily tasks and entered the stage (siege)

It should've been pretty obvious to you that there was some sort of issue, and 'waiting' for almost two and a half hours looking at the screen doesn't really go together. You could've just easily canceled and re-done the queue.

As I've presumed, you were in fact aware that it was a loading bug, and intentionally let it load for as long as possible in hopes of receiving some sort of compensation for it (of which time could be better used for simply refreshing the page and playing battles), which isn't going to happen. As you already know, refreshing the page (or just cancelling and re-doing the queue) resolves the issue and immediately afterwards makes the battles load as intended.
