Is anybody else addicted to looking at the forum after every once in a while? I close my browser and then after a second, I am on the forum again. Anyways, what sections are your favorite ones? Except the newspaper, that is everyone's favorite.. ^^

On a serious note, Forum Addiction is real, and I'm not afraid to admit that I am addicted...

I struggle to focus on more important things like online lectures... In fact, I disabled the sound made whenever a notification pops up, just so I could focus a little better.

It would be wonderful if someone tackles this issue, and helps addicted players out.

Ideally, one should visit the forum when one decides to, not on an impulse, or because of a never-ending urge.

It's strange, that despite me acknowledging my addiction, and knowing the solution too, I struggle a lot to gain control over myself...

*Sigh* ?

At last I understood why my browser kept saying "We have detected excess traffic from your side at this website."

So visiting the Forum 17 times an hour ain't normal anymore?

This can't be an accurate poll. This post will most probably only be found by forum addicts.

Looks like you've made all the difference..... ?

Lol. There are far worse things to get addicted to when compared to tankiforum. So we're all doing fine in my books.

Coconuts, for instance...

I've heard they can be a hazard for the ol noggin.

Does the AWS count as the Newspaper? If it does, then I'd say the whole Off-Topic Discussion section.

Articles from AWS have a chance to get published on Newspaper, and after all, it is under "Tanki Online Newspaper" so yes. AWS does count as the Newspaper. Just not as "The Newspaper". Capitalization is they key for distinction here.

But why would anyone get addicted to a forum where you’re censored, your posts are deleted and you’re given warning points, just for speaking the truth?

If your post contains some unnecessarily inappropriate content in it, then that should warrant the following actions that you mentioned. The forum mods and admin allow constructive criticism as long as it follows the game's EULA.

They're just doing their job, and that is to keep the forum environmentally and user friendly.

There's an art to getting close to the line without crossing it.  Practice more  ?

I think the main reason for forum addiction, is the randomization factor. You never know when your favorite topics will be active, or when the forum will seem dead. When you submit a topic that needs to get approved, sometimes it will get approved in 5 minutes, and sometimes it will get approved in a few months. This is kind of like the reason why people buy lottery tickets, since every once in a while they win a few bucks. If there would be 20 posts an hour in the forum throughout the day, much less people would be as obsessed with the forum.
