Person_Random's famous history

Hello lovely readers ❤.You asked and I answered.Today I will interview someone special that is doing interviews as well but this time I will interview a newspaper reporter hehe.

Hello, could you introduce yourself?
Person_Random: Hello everyone, I’m Person_Random (or Random for short). I’m currently 16 years old, preparing for my last year in high school in just a handful of months. For the time being, I am sheltering-in-place and studying at home in the USA. Just for kicks, a few of my hobbies include physics and math, writing, Rubik’s cubes, and overthinking.

Why did you become a news reporter?/why did you want to? (A player that interviews a news reporter hehe)
Person_Random: It’s a bit strange that I’m a newspaper reporter because I happen to be terrible at English. In school, I was never good at writing, essays, or English. My English and writing teachers often told me that I needed to work on my writing without helping me, and this went on for a very long time. I didn’t know what to do about it. But when I entered high school, my parents got me to work with an English tutor to teach me how to write and make a point. Also, didn’t have that many friends, so I had a lot of free time during classes (when my peers were partying during *cough* biology class *cough*), so I decided to write some little articles about my classes and life in a notebook that became the headquarters of my own paper, The Weekly Gumball (silly title, yes, I know).

After I discovered my high school had a newspaper, I was even more excited to continue writing in the Gumball and deciding to eventually participate in the school newspaper. (In the end, I decided against participating in the ever-declining school paper. Who wants to read about “a charity dinner feeds many” or “being normal is perfectly normal” anyways?) But before I could sign up for the journalism class, I found Tanki Online. When the May Holidays rolled around, I found out about the Tanki Online Newspaper. Instantly, I was hooked. Tanki Online, my favorite game, had a newspaper. At the thought of being able to write news and opinions about this game (instead of boring school drama or life events), I dropped all plans for the Gumball and the school paper and instantly found myself trying to apply for the Tanki Online Newspaper. It would only be another nineteen months before I would finally be accepted into the Reporter team.

Is it hard to publish articles?
Person_Random: For me, all I really have to do is power up my article writing module and put in a few nuclear supply boxes to get cracking on my writing. All jokes aside, though, I do happen to come up with article ideas very quickly, and I tend to write out the easier ones, like opinion and personal pieces, pretty quickly when I’m in focus mode. However, more time-consuming pieces like guides and reviews will take up a bit more of my time to write, as I need to do extensive research and clearly outline my points before starting. Interviews and stories fall somewhere in the middle. Sometimes, I might be able to get an interview done if I come up with enough enlightening questions and the interviewee finishes answering the questions quickly. For stories, I’ll be able to bring together a cohesive plot and start writing it, but sometimes, my critical side just tears down my story and I end up editing it too many times before I finish. Usually, though, I am able to create a new article or contest every week. Then it’s just sitting back and waiting for the piece to be published.

And what kind of articles are you writing?
Person_Random: My true expertise, in my opinion, is teaching people how to do things, so if this were a perfect world, I would live to write guides. However, my lack of experience due to a lack of time to play Tanki Online often prevents me from making an effective guide. I have to settle for the Parkour Physics guides, which blend parkour and physics, two of my strong suits. When I’m bored of physics and parkour, I try to write reviews (a series on reviewing various aspects of MM) and interviews, as well as bring in more contests for players to enjoy.

What was your best writing experience?
Person_Random: When I was in my first year of high school, my writing class gave us an assignment to write a descriptive story out of seven words: “There was something happening outside my window” Within seconds, I had come up with an action-packed plot, filled with suspense and laced with the finest touch of humor, complete with the perfect tragic ending. It would become the story Fine Ash.

When did you start Tanki Online?
Person_Random: Though I had heard of Tanki from someone in summer camp during 2015 and 2016, I didn’t start playing until late March or early April of 2017. At that time, my brother had been playing Tanki for a while, and I was thinking, “Well, I can do better than him,”, so I created my own account to show him that I could play just as well as he could.

How long have you been playing?
Person_Random: I didn’t really play the game much after late April 2017, because my computer somehow lost its Adobe Flash. However, a year later, it somehow had Adobe Flash, so I went back to playing the game more frequently and ranked up to Third Lieutenant by January of 2019. But I realized that over time, I had grown much more irritable due to the game, and I ultimately decided to quit playing Tanki in March or April of that year. I even planned to leave the game after July, but a few fortuitous events occurred and I’m still here.

Do you have anything else to add?
I’m currently working on some statistics, so if you want to know the likelihood of you getting a legendary container reward, hand me some data and I’ll be happy to help. Also, I’m bored, so send me some music recommendations please. I’ve just been listening to the same four songs I listened to last summer...

Do you have something to tell to readers and to the reporter team?
Of course. I’d really like to thank the reporter team, past and present, for being able to give me this opportunity to write for the EN Tanki Online Newspaper. I’m really grateful to former Admin @Flexoo for giving me a second chance at the perfect time and to current Admin @kaisdf for being a chill guy who didn’t get as frustrated with my lack of brain cells as much as the rest of the squad. (The first few days I got lost. A lot. It was terrible) Also, I’d like to thank anyone who has read one of my articles and given me the encouragement to continue as a writer, as well as @Sabrytoun_Superman for being a good friend and interviewing me.

As you may have noticed @Person_Random loves writing and we can clearly see that in his very interesting parkour physics series.Thank you for accepting being in the interview.

Do you think you have something interesting to tell to readers? In this case you can contact sabry_tanki#5789 if you want to be interviewed and he will let you know about the final decision.

Approved.

Thanks for the interview, Sabry. I really enjoyed it! It was really fun to have a nice cup of tea and spill my life story over a lazy Tuesday. Your questions allow me to express sides of myself that are usually hidden ?, I can't wait for more interviews!

Edits: few minor spacing fixes.
