No, it's tunnel vision. Devs are focusing to stop the 1% that try to abuse PRO-battles to gain an advantage over everyone else and in the same time hurt the remaining 99%.

Using format battles was never a good way of power leveling, and playing MM is for many essentially power leveling as people play it for rewards, not for fun.

Indeed the 99 or rather 100% are hurt

so we got it wrong, we have fun in pro-battle and powerlevel in MM? ?

Close — we play MM to get skins/containers and other goodies.

Though I will not say that current PRO is great since we have Magnum

How skins are linked to power-levelling? Containers are the sames as daily mission which used to be also in pro-battle.

If you are looking for fun, then you don't need crystals (no more pressure on the equipment race).

This statement is certainly more unironically true than the other way round.

You seem surprised.

This is how I see it.  MM is just a grind to get containers to be able to buy new items or upgrade the ones we have.

Many players would not use MM if they could get containers playing on maps they like in battles that last more than the blink of an eye.

I may have lost you in the way. The whole topic is not unironic on its own way.

Not directly leveling, but playing to get in game items, not for fun. And not just skins, lots of other rewards that you have to pay for as well. Power leveling is essentially the same except that you do not get such a big advantage because you get less rewards compared to how quickly you can rank up.

Fun = being destroyed by P2W players without any chance to fight back?

Or, from a buyer's perspective, driving around mindlessly and killing enemies on your path as though they were some easy bots?

No fun either way.

There is not one truth but many, and I did not see that one, so it did indeed surprised me, learning that players see MM that way. Yes a double fund in MM is indeed a power-leveling tool.

Not having battle fund in pro-battle is a blessing from god, no grinding, containers, and stars that denature the spirit of the game.

No fun either way.

It is a competitive game, the P2W does bias the outcome. It is about balance F2P and P2W, and TO might have pushed to far in the P2W.
It is a team work therefore you will have buyer in your team too. Do your part. The more you level-up, the longer it takes to catch up with buyers. BUt once you got all maxed up the playing field is leveled. Or you can play xp/bp and everybody is on the same page regarding to equipment, but then no point buying other turrets and hulls - so no need of crystals.

Maybe not "powerleveling" - but - if you don't play MM you won't be able to upgrade.

MM IS considered a grind by many, and having battles > 6.5 minutes on maps we like is considered "fun" by many.

No battle-fund in Pro is not a blessing - it forces players into MM (as designed).  If they don't play MM to some extent they will never keep up with players that do both.

If missions could be done in Pro-battles, MM would have half the players it currently does, and would just collapse.

So you want MM to fail?

If they won't improve it?   Yes.

Do you think that there is hope on that hypothetical improvement?

The battle fund still exist tought, it is currently only removed for private, clan and special format. It was a blessing for special format, as now it is truly about skills and pride. The private and clan are indeed power levelling grounds.

I just saw this topic...

Alright, sure, let's go with the majority on this one, because that TOTALLY goes perfectly every time, and with there being no Developers, there will be some EXCELLENT updates to come in the futu...Oh wait, the Developers are the ones who add stuff to the game? I guess the game will just stay the exact same forever, and of course, that would cause some negative feedback...

There's absolutely no way to win; people complain at every junction, even if it is about an update they have been asking for years for (cough new turret or hull cough)...

Well, they haven't changed MM much since it was introduced - so hope is dwindling.  A lot of people are frustrated with it, but improving MM seems to be low on their priority. I suspect it works the way the Devs intended, so I'm not holding my breath.

Battle fund is only a minor way to get funds.  Containers and mission rewards make up the bulk of that.  And in Pro-battles the fund is not divided well.  It is a relatively poor source of income for most players.

Certainly. Though I always feel a bit uncomfortable when I read the term "developers" in this context, in the end it is the owners of the entrepreneuring corporation that set the time frame for profit maximization planning. And the time frame being cast too short, that is the root of all issues with this otherwise fine game. For the players and customers as well as ultimately for everyone who receives a salary or a profit from the game.

I change my mind, there is a greater menace to this game, please remove @Mr.Nibbles from the game ? (only joking)

No you're not. He drives me nuts. He doesn't pick up any of the drops. If you want to be invisible to him in battle, just look like a supply drop and he will ignore/not see you. Then you pounce on him when he passes by.
