Can you survive in battle without any alts for turrets are hulls and without equipping a drone,by that i mean have a meaningful impact in battle and not come near to last in every battle you join.

I don't use drones in any of my accounts. Some turrets are fine without alts,  like smoky and Vulcan (and maybe thunder), but I play them also with alts. You can do well but need quite a lot of supplies at least in higher ranks.

I remember there was a challenge recently to get top-3 in Matchmaking without using any supplies or drones. I did it with Wasp Thunder on the 4th attempt. It's very difficult, but possible.

Drones are way too expensive to upgrade and use consistently, but as far as supplies go, at higher ranks it should be very easy to maintain a healthy amount of them as a free player.

Before I had the Defender drone, I used two main strategies:

1. Using Isida - I wouldn't really say this gives a monumental chance of you getting first place every single time, but you will definitely get top three and have a meaningful impact to your team. For added effect, or if you really want high score, use the Support Nanobots augment.
2. Equipping Dictator - Needless to say, a good Dictator player will always be the most valuable player of his/her team. You basically need to have as many teammates around you as possible before using your Ovedrive. Each time you do this you get additional score, and hence, a top position in your leaderboard.

You don’t need drones or alterations to excel in MM. The only things you really need are supplies. Nothing else. I should know - I hardly ever use a drone(trooper when I do use) cuz I’ve no batteries and most of the time I do not use any alts with the turrets I use whenever I play mm and still get good places.

I dont use drones or alt. still i end up 1rst or 2nd in maps most of the time.

My GS without drones or alts is 8872-8880. So I don't use alts or drones (that much) on my main. I'll use my driver drone if I have an OD mission that I need to complete quickly. And my GS with it is only about 9101-9107.

I'm still shocked at the number of players who will go out of their way to steal an OD drop-box from a Dictator on their own team...

Look, It's hard, but not impossible. I everyday on Tanki's birthday I played with standard Vulcan Mk4 and Hunter Mk6, wihout drones, because I don't have batteries. In some battles I got the first place. So it's more a matter of skill.

I should have been more specific. when i said alts are drones i meant absolutely nothing just standard equipment  supplies yes but nothing else. (protections of course).

I tried it, and i must admit i struggled against all these alts that are being used but i redeemed myself when i started playing smart and just ambushed enemy coming to our base with freeze. Before that i was vulcan and with no alts at all i overheated very quickly and was an easy kill due to my low health. i placed 5th out of 8 better than last i guess.And i have a maxed out garage. Not this account by way.

Yes, it is possible to survive in MM battles without alts and drones. You have to play battles on your terms. (1) Leave battles early when the other side has more than 1 player with GS close to the max. That indicates a team. (2) When there are 2 or more campers on your side going to the back corners of the map or up the towers regardless of battle modes, leave (3) When your team is down 2 or more players, leave (4) When your teammates constantly step into your line of fire or bump you as you fire, consider leaving. I can probably come up with more reasons to leave ...like teammates who park their tanks diagonally on a bridge, isidas healing only campers, after a few minutes into the battle, you find that more than one teammates is like 0 kills 10 deaths.

To maximize your chance, it is important to find out the protection scheme on the other side and change to a turret that has minimum protection on the other side. Also change your own protection scheme depending on who the strong players are on the other side.

When enemy team gets a free Cap right off the bat because they have a player with realy fast connection

When your GS score is <= 1/2 the avg GS score of the other players

When you have 1 or more non-active players on your team
