Like you said above, ranking up so fast benefits players like me as Legend ranks. I do understand your concern that for lower ranks its an issue.

I miss playing Tanki, but i won't play with these outrageous XP situations.  I've made a couple of new accounts to play, but Tanki has ruined the low ranks now too with the crystal box crap and the XP.  Players rank so quickly that there are virtually no low rank battles any more.  What there are are all mostly blowouts, no actual battles.  The side that starts to dominate first usually wins.  The people that play lower ranks are also only playing for stars so there is huge churn in each battle with players leaving.  Tanki devs just can't leave any part of the game fun...they seem to need to kill it all in every way possible.

The only reason pro battles are still fun is coz of no intervention from devs lol. Unless they do something like removing battle funds there :///

I fear that as player number keep falling, eventually (read soon) the devs will actually do this and de-fund pro battles in the hopes of driving more players into trash MM battles.  They already have long wait times in off hours for RGB and Siege...many times I hit the three minute boot and have to try again.  The rank brackets are already awful in the lower ranks in off hours ...like rank4 vs rank15 (I have the screenshot)...eleven steps between players.  Spread like that is just plain stupid, but hey, they are Tanki devs, so...

What these blind devs don't get is that if they were to stop battle funds in Pro, it wouldn't push any players to MM...only a small handful.  But it would make another large chunk of players quit playing Tanki altogether.

What astounds me is what a great game this used to be and still could be.  It's a friggin' gold mine if they handled it better, but all they can seem to do is squeeze and squeeze for every farthing as they coerce players for every moment of their in-game time.  It's a disgusting management stye.

Not just lower ranks.  This happens in ALL ranks.

Definitely agree. Lower ranks used to be free of druggers and players using "legal cheats", or P2W stuff, but now buyers get to assert their dominance over F2Ps. They already had high modification equipment, drones and augments available to them exclusively; but with this exp boost players who rank up too fast become weaker, or "softer cannon fodder", for the buyers to kill.

Tanki is trying to spoon feed buyers to make them keep on wasting their money. First it was about depriving new players of supplies so they all were essentially 1 shot kills at the hands of druggers; and now it's about starving players of resources by making them rank up faster. All that we can do now is wait and see what dirty tactic they pull off next.

Don't worry. Tanki Online wont die. When HTML5 is complete, it will be perfect. Flash will be discontinued and permanently removed from Tanki Online on the 31st December 2020.

I am not sure whether developers will choose to decide to advertise the game.

Well said. This game was amazing and if handled right, it can be amazing again. It may be too late but there still could be a chance of getting the game we want.

After everything they've done in the recent years, the devs ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Tanki must be really desperate to stoop to such low tactics... I hope this changes once HTML5 is bug-free and actually begins to work without giving us a headache, coz that's when they will advertise the game which would bring in more players.

But it might die before that happens...

If they can finish and polish HTML5 before December, they can start advertising soon after in 2021. I think they'll be able to complete everything before then. Well, I hope.

Tanki will die when flash ends, only buyers will stay.

Why the end of flash means buyers will thrive? Where does that come from? What logic did you follow?

Very insightful.  i hadn't really considered the creation of soft targets for the buyers, but essentially that is what is getting created out of the low ranks now.  Rank up quickly without any funds, weak equipment and you are just kill count for buyers or fully equipt/MUed players.  Of course the trouble with this is that players will not continue to play through ranks where they can only be slaughtered, so they will either start a new account, quit the game, or become a buyer.

I doubt that Tanki gets many "new" buyers anymore...they have lots of buyers but they are players that have been buyers previously.  The actual few newbies will probably just move on to some other game after messing with Tanki as a free player for a bit, but I doubt many, if any, will invest money in this neo-tanki.

I follow logic that buyers will stay after flash because they spend money to the game and still will obviously, i play this game long enough to see whats happening in tanki, dont be surprised if you will see max 2k players online after flash.

I am not a buyer and I play on HTML5, why can't the other players can't do it too? Currently Flash is already phased out by many players including non-buyers, so it is not like a clear date for an after flash or a before flash. I think your logic is based on wrong assumption.

Did I missed something? Or did you not noticed that this is the same game whicheverver format, Flash, Html5 or Mobile?

I only play flash because of the interface, HTML5 is a pain in the you-know-what to use

lol, blaming interface is a trivial reason not worse to stop playing the game. Furthermore how much time do you spend on the interface and how much playing on a map.

Yes i can be wrong but still most players play on flash and dont like hmtl5 mostly of its look and because its complicated.

lol, a little color change and set-up rearrangement of the interface and there you are, lost. I can draw you a map if you need, or alternatively ask your mummy if your need help.
Hopefully other players are not to your level of confusion, or I am a genius, but my niece is 10 years old and she managed perfectly.

I still use the Flash version first thing in the morning to look at missions etc. because account switching is faster, and if I only want to look at my garage instead of play, but I stopped playing in the Flash version when the camera etc. in the HTML5 version was fixed.

I think many more players would have abandoned the Flash version for playing if the camera etc. was fixed earlier. I don't know why the complaints were ignored for so long.

I still prefer the Flash version, but it's too unreliable and Flash is literally a dead end.

can agree, i get a lot of serious unrelated-to-internet bugs in flash, rly makes me rage sometimes

most annoying one is when the garage will load, the loading bar will disappear as if the garage has loaded but the garage wont show up, worse thing about this is that you can't press on any other button, not even the quit game one

so you are forced to reload game

The colors, the contrast, the super tiny font size, the number of clicks needed to navigate the lobby interface, the fuzziness of the fonts and general graphics, the awkward motion of the tanks (better, but still not close to Flash), poor layout and design, loss of quite a few features, the poor design and layout of the battle interface, and many more problems all go into making HTML a very very poor replacement for Flash.  Most of these things are small if taken individually and could be worked around, but there are dozens of these little problems or annoyances and taken as a whole, make HTML lame at best and unplayable at worst.

The result is that when Flash dies, a very large number of players will stop playing Tanki unless HTML is dramatically improved...which doesn't seem to be much of a priority despite what the devs say.  They seem to be concentrating on new product (Ares, Tesla, and, I predict, a wave of upcoming buff/nerfs)  to get players to buy buy buy.

I know I will be playing much less Tanki when Flash goes unless they improve HTML greatly.  I find HTML inferior in almost every way and don't like playing on HTML nearly as much as Flash.  That in conjunction with the degradation of the game overall from toxic updates makes the future for Tanki and me look kinda grim.

Also, again with the rude an insulting personal attacks in your posts.  I wrote you a PM previously about this and since then you have been decent to me in your posts..thank you, I appreciate your effort to be civil.  Maybe now you could try expanding this decency to other posters and leave personal attacks out of your criticisms and observations...please?  "ask your mummy" and the level of confusion comment is just nasty-rude and uncalled for.

I hope that HTML5 will be much better suited for everyone when Flash goes away so that other players wont be disappointed with HTML5 and Android versions of Tanki Online. I have been very satisfied with HTML5 when I was first released when V-Log 222 first announced its official birth. However, I do agree with the "pros and cons" which individual players face with the new HTML5 and Android versions of the game.

My prospect is that players must keep on liking and keeps on playing Tanki Online after the discontinuation of Flash, whether they like to or not. That's not to be bossy of push players around, but rather to make them continue to play Tanki Online and like the new HTML5 and Android versions of the game. Players will have to get used to that.

This is just like when Windows 7's Supported ended on January 14th 2020, around 7 months-ish ago. Now, most people are using Windows 10 in its place. This phrase is just to explain about the death of one technology that is being replaced by another one. Sometimes in life you have no choices, so you must adapt to a new technology when an old one is being phased out. All you players out there must acknowledge that Flash is being discontinued on December 31st 2020 for good, so you must make the move to either HTML5 or Android versions of Tanki Online. Still, you are lucky enough to receive two choices, HTML5 or Android, so please make the move from Flash to HTML5 or Android as soon as you can.

I do very well understand that you are all frustrated with this change, but you don't have a choice if you wish to continue to play Tanki Online after December 31st 2020, you must move on to HTML5 or Android if you are to continue to play Tanki Online for the foreseeable future.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your heartfelt post.  I think most people know that it is either HTML Tanki or no Tanki at some point in time.  I also think that what players want is for Tanki to fix HTML and make it at least as good as Flash.  What astounds me is that Tanki has a template that was developed over eleven years.  Why did they abandon so much of that proven template and introduce such a radically different lobby and battle interface?  Why not go with what was time proven?  Now it is a mess and not pleasant (for me anyway) to play on.

Tanki needs to deliver on what it promised; an HTML version that is as good or better than Flash in every way.  That would include movement, features, usability, convenience, aesthetics...basically, at a minimum, everthing that Flash now offers.
