Credit goes to @Goges.Enze who discovered and initiated this way of making tables on the new forum. Special thanks to him for allowing me to make a guide on it.

For those of you who have been a part of the wonderful forum community since the last year know that before the forum had an upgrade, their was a way of making tables by using BB codes. Unfortunately, the new forum engine does not support that way of making tables. Hence, all of the previously made tables "busted" out. For long we thought we can no longer make tables, but fortunately, now we can.

In this simple guide, I will teach you how you can easily make tables on the new forum. Follow step-by-step and make sure to read the whole guide before trying out anything.

First of all you have to come up with an idea of the table. In our case, we will try to make a table which is a summarized version of the forum. It would contain useful links to important forum topics. This is just for an example, please do not make spam tables about the forum. This guide is only to enhance your information and to help you when needed.

Go to Google Sheets and make a new sheet. Click on "Personal Sheet" and select "Blank". This is because, primarily, we are going to be making the table on Google Sheets and then copy pasting it in to the forum.

We will not be able to center align the table once posted on the forum so make sure the table is of right size. Smaller tables with up to 5 entries will not matter, but large ones that necessarily need to be centered, must be "1400 Pixels" wide. Upon measuring the pixels, I have noticed that from the corner of Column A till the "Hyperlink" tool on the left after Alphabet "I", makes it 1400 pixels. In any case, our table would have to be 1400 pixels wide.

Firstly, we would need a "title" as well as "two" columns under the title. Hence, do the following:

  • Select two cells, and make sure they are side-by-side.
  • Click on "format".

            Screenshot-105.png

  • Click on "Merging Cells".
  • Click on "Merge All".

Remember the width problem from Step Number Three? Now, Stretch the "Column A" all the way up till mid of Column "G" as you can see from the Screenshot below.

Screenshot-107.png

Then Stretch the "Column B" all the way up till the notified area on the screenshot. Now, your table is of the right width.

Screenshot-108.png

Now, for the "Tabular Summary of Forum" we will need only two columns. First column for the Page name and Second column for the Page link. As far as the "Merged cell" is considered, we will add the title there; Tabular Summary of Forum. Select it, make size "26" and center align the text. Now, feel free to make some changes to the title. I would prefer filling the cell with yellow color and making the text color for the title as black. It suits well and looks nice.

Write names of all of the page names which we are going to include in the table, in column A. Then write "Click here" on column B and copy/paste it all the way till the last forum page mentioned. Hence, it should look something like this:

Select all of the cells and click on "Borders" and select the border of your choice. I would recommend "All Borders".

Screenshot-110.png

Then, having all the cells selected, click on "Border Style" and choose the one that best suits your taste. I would recommend using the last one on the list.

Screenshot-111.png

Then change color of the inner cells from "white" to "black".

Screenshot-112.png

Then change the Text color from "Black" to "white". This is because the forum is of black shade and we need "white" text.

Screenshot-113.png

Lastly, change the "Border" color from "Black" to "white".

Then copy all of the table and paste it on the "editor". It should look something like this:

Make sure to:

  • Select the whole table.
  • Center align all of the texts.
  • Make the Title "Bold".
  • Change Font Style if you want.
  • "Save" the post. Well, some people forget :x

Now, the most important part. Add all the hyperlinks to your table. I haven't tried to add hyperlinks on the google sheets and then Copy/Paste because it is a lot of work to add individual hyperlinks only to find out that forum is unable to read them and you have to do all over again. Hence, add hyperlinks once you have copied the table to the editor.

Your final table should be:
