Hey,

I think in the forum something that should be changed is, when you want to follow a topic to get a notification from it, you should be able to update the follow preference to just update me when a new topic is posted, rather then having to receive a notification every time something is posted.

For instance in news and announcements I want to be notified when a new announcement is posted, but what I don't want is to be notified every single time someone comments on it, which i find annoying and frustrating but the follow preferences only offer " send notification when new content is posted" "one email per day with all content of that day" "one email perk week with all content from that week" "don't send notifications" 

well I really do want to hear when an announcement comes out to I follow whenever new content is posted, but that means I'm getting hundreds on notifications.

Anyway I think I made my point and you understand

In summary please make a "follow preference" of when a new topic is posted rather then any content

Is this idea related to receiving notifications about the followed content through e-mails only? I usually get notified only when a new topic has been posted in News And Announcements section. I don't receive any notifications about the posts unless I follow that specific topic. 

If this topic is concerned mainly to have a feature where only Topic notifications are sent by e-mail instead of posts notifications as well, then it is very well understandable.

This topic is for that I get a notification when a new topic is on the forum not by email, on the forum I get notifications when something is created, but then a get a new notification someone comments under this topic, there is no way to just follow when new topics are posted, which is what I'm asking

Anywhere from when it got posted for approval to two weeks and sometimes more depending upon availability.

Hey sorry for the late reply, you seem to be following a specific topic. Please follow the forum section and not the topic to only receive a notification when a new topic is posted.
