Tips On How To Catch More Goldboxes

1) Use Dictator.

In medium or small maps and maybe some of the large maps, dictator is the most effective hull to catch goldboxes. Its higher and stronger than most of the other hulls. chances of catching a goldbox with dictator is much higher than catching one with a hornet.

2) Kill Or Get Killed.

this might be a little contradictory, but the more tanks you kill when a goldbox drops, the higher the chances are for you to actually catch one.

3) Stay safe. 

Usually there are a few wasps and hunters in the map. when the goldbox drops, take a rest in a corner. let them slowdown and kill some enemies with their overdrives. after theyve used their overdrives, jump in and catch that goldbox. (this kinda depends on your luck)

4) Be Sure To Use Supplies.

This is the most obvious but actually the most important. Using repair kits when the gold box is dropping is vital, even if youre not going to die. Maybe a shaft or a railgun is aiming for you. Be prepared.

5) Be Calm.

Usually people panic when they see a goldbox is dropping. that makes it harder to catch one and if you dont catch it it will make you go psycho. Chill. Its just a 1k box that does drop and will be dropping. Just stay focused and if you didnt catch it, just continue the game.

Nice guide! 

How bout tht technique where u use a recoil turret with wasp to get onto other tanks? I’ve done this countless times tho to do it after the intro of overdrives is a bit challenging...

And also getting onto raised areas above the drop zone if there are any to jump for the gold and also using ramps are some more good techniques

I'm glad you mentioned this one. Too many people keep talking about this "no kill on gold box" rule, but it makes no sense to me. If you're a Dictator with Lifesaver/Defender drone, or a Mammoth with overdrive at the ready, don't expect me to ignore you and just let you easily take the gold box.

As Poly mentioned, Light hull (mostly Wasp) + Turret with recoil is an excellent option. Especially if the are high platforms near the drop zone...

Also, the recoil can be used to elevate the front of the tank, and climb fully or partially onto tanks.

6) avoid the moshpit and simply use guass+hornet+booster or crisis and get a mega multi kill, then take the gold if it's still there.

this is a great strategy if you want to piss off a lot of people. Definitely recommend doing this.

My absolute favourite thing to do. Even if I only get 1 in 50 golds using this strat, it's totally worth it.

I did this before. I happen to kill a tank just before the gold box landed on him/her. Really funny.

Well, i don't like DM golds. Reason is simple: it's all about kills, not skills. I like tp jump, do some tricks to catch a gold, and ot's impossible in DM because of the OD spam.

Me taking a GoldBox with Shaft +  Titan  on a Large Map with literal 1 hp and after burn effect and at least 3 enemy bombs around the drop zone. (on my alt account).
