How smart has the Matchmaking-System already become?

I get invited and I join, because why the hell not? I don't know how other people do it, but I suspect that the majority is the same.

The co-ordination I see in many battles suggests otherwise.

Nothing wrong with you joining and playing with friends.  I'm just saying you are not making use of the huge advantage Groups can give you.  Most battles I join solo I cant understand anything team-mates say.  Groups means at min 3 of you can. Goes a long way toward tactical advantage.

Are they though? My experience playing in a group consists of doing what I always do (playing alone) but occasionally also getting distracted by chat. I don't think it's reasonable to assume that players in a group are significantly more coordinated than random players.

It depends on the group. If the group's only purpose is to play with friends, then not so much. But if the group has a plan that'll ensure a winning outcome and knows how to pull it off and has the equipment to pull it off, then it'll be all the difference.

On the bright side, you won't have to see the toxicity of the chat. So that's at least a plus.

Ah, I just came up with the perfect solution! When creating the group, the group leader will have to tick one of two boxes: either "play for fun" or "play to win". And that way, all the group leaders will be HONEST and will click the correct box to state their intentions, so that they get matched against equally determined groups and all battles will be 100% balanced. This is a FLAWLESS solution and there is NO WAY that people will exploit it and tick the "play for fun" box to get matched against weaker enemies when they actually intend to try hard. Will forward it to devs right away! ?

I rarely have matches in which both side stay and we have an intense match till the end. This match is both balanced and wonder full. Everyone crosses scores of 200 on both the sides. The rush I feel playing such a match is so much that I forget the match timing and am immersed in the game. However, this is a case of 1 in 80-90 matches.

I believe MM is already smart. Just unstable.

is it just me or has MM has become bs? Like the past week it just sends me to battles already started, or puts me in my most hated maps like Brest, Wolfenstein, and Massacre.

PS: Please remove Massacre MM.

My problem isn't so much unbalanced matches. Those were always there and always will be. My problem is that it took what was already a super simple process, that being simply picking a map and gamemode I enjoy playing, and locking it behind around twenty levels of grinding through the same five maps in either Team Juggernaut or ASL. No exceptions, period. And if you happen to play the game primarily on your phone during your limited freetime? Sucks to be you, I guess. MAYBE we'll release it after we make Railgun XT-Ultra-Demonic and release it alongside Tesla and Ares in the next Fortnite Tanki Battle Pass.

So while I appreciate the thought behind making the game even more babyproof, could you maybe give me something to work with so I'm not constantly playing tic-tac-toe with a TI-82 calculator in between joining matches that I just left, join only to immediately be met with a Defeat! because the dedicated tic-tac-toe servers were drawing too much bandwidth from the game hosting ones, or just straight up don't want to be in. It's almost as if an older, more refined system of giving the player choice was a far more popular option, but what do I know?

Maf if you would work on this game the way you try to be sarcastic,  something may get solved.  Do you agree?
