Sacrifice's Amazing Story

Recommended Posts

Hello, welcome to our daily interview, and today I will interview someone that generally gives himself interviews, but this time, I will interview him ?

Hello Sacrifice, could you introduce yourself?

Sacrifice: My name is Muhammad Saim Maqsood. I am from Pakistan, but I live in the Middle East. I am seventeen years old (But the universe is 13.8 billion years old and since energy can neither be created nor destroyed but only transferred from one form to another, me being made up of energy as physics suggests, it wouldn't be wrong to say that atomically, I am 13.8 billion years old)

Why did you want to become forum mod candidate?

Sacrifice: Well, when I first applied for any helper position back in 2014, my first choice was Chat Moderators. However, my troubled karma disappointed me immensely. I got rejected and my second position of choice was Forum Moderators and with out doubt, I got rejected without applying. Forum Moderators have always been my favourite position. Not only does a forum moderator take care of the forum but also caters to the needs of its users. The forum being my favourite site as well as helping being my hobby, I always admired this position. Hence, I always wanted to become a forum moderator as this position thrilled me and helped me to practice my communication skills on a vast level.

Is that hard to publish articles as news reporter?

Sacrifice: Let us have a look at how articles are published in the first place. First of all, we come up with an idea of the articles. Then we start writing it in portions. Once done with writing, we order the banner as well as try to add "visual aids" like gifs and images on the article to make it appealing. Then the articles are formatted and the newspaper tiles "Official Newspaper - grey design templated" are added to it. After that, the article is proofread, then later moved to the publishing queue. The articles are easy to write, especially when you get ahold of it. However, since writing only one article a month is obligatory, it is no stress. Hence, publishing articles is definitely not hard.

What was your best writing experience?

Sacrifice: I actually have two best writing experiences. First, when I was writing my first story: Why do Admins get incinerated and second; YouTuber Interview with Jay. I enjoyed writing my story as I tried to make it humorous and I might have laughed more at my own jokes than the readers would've. But the experience was definitely awesome. As far as interview with Jay is concerned, I was very excited to initiate this series. Wonderful YouTubers like Jay who entertain the player base with cool video's, having their efforts highlighted as definitely something the community needed from a long time. These were undoubtedly my best experiences.

What is your best forum experience?

Well my best forum experience is when I got promoted to a reporter candidate. I can not express how amazing it felt. Your first helper positions always hit you differently. I was literally jumping around the house. Taking this moment, I would like to thank @Regency  and @LOLKILLERTOTHEDEATH who supported me as well as guided me through this.

When did you start playing Tanki? How long have you been playing?

Sacrifice: I started playing Tanki Online late 2013 or mid 2013, I fail to recall the exact date. I have been playing Tanki Online since the last seven years. I took many breaks in-between but eventually came back to it.

Do you have anything else to add?

Sacrifice: Yes, I would like give my readers some advice. Back in 2014, when I first applied for the helper position I got rejected for 3 positions; Forum, Chat and reporter. My karma was bad as well as I was rushing the response from the admins. I expected their reply literally 5 minutes after I submitted my application. They told me I got rejected also because I started messaging all the online helpers about my application. Then I got rejected for forum moderators as well as reporter because I couldn't write articles properly. Fast forward 5 years, I applied for Reporter again and even though I put in alot of effort, I still got rejected. Fast forward 5 months, I got @kaisdf's message that my reporter application has been accepted. Fast forward 6 more months, I got @Maf's message saying I got accepted as a forum moderator candidate. So, to everyone thinking ot applying, waiting for a response, rejected; I would like to say that guys please do not give up. There is always a chance. Keep trying till you succeed. If I can be accepted despite making enormous mistakes, everyone interested to help the community has a chance. I wish everyone good luck!

Do you have something to tell to readers and to reporter team?

Sacrifice: To my readers: You guys rock and make the newspaper alive and dynamic. I love you guys and your feedback be it positive or a lesson for the future. You guys make my time on forum amazing and y'all are truly awesome! To reporters/helpers: You guys are like a family to me. Everyone is always there to help everyone and that thing literally makes my day. You guys are amazing people and I hope everyone of you are blessed with true happiness in life!

Thanks a lot for accepting this interview! ❤️

Approved.

Sorry I was late in approving this - I had tried a bit earlier, but forums kept going down for me. Now, I am glad to have read this interview so many times; it is a very interesting and great read! I learned so much more about my newspaper buddy Sacrifice, and it was really fun to read more through. I noticed how the questions have become more concise and the responses have gotten longer, which is great. Keep up the great interviews, Sabry!

Edits: minor grammar fixes.

No wonder you got the perfect time zone for everything...

Anyway, awesome interview!!!

Sacrifice (or Muhammad Saim Maqsood, phew, that's a long name), you make me feel bad about myself (though you should inspire me, XD), coz I'm the same age, and yet you manage real life and Forum responsibilities with so much ease and maturity... Great work!!!

Sabry, you have mastered the Art of Interviewing... Another wonderful interview!!

Yay, finally a sabry interview topic which isn't locked!

I decide about locking the topic or not by seeing the comments and the interviewed person has the right to lock it or not
