You don't need batteries to finish the mission so equipping the drone without having batteries at all in your garage still counts for the mission.

400 kills for 2 Ultra containers using Hyperion, crisis or Brutus(cheap Drone)
10 kills per battle takes 40 battles. Most players will be doing at least a couple of battles a day anyway for daily missions. So I'll knock 6 battles off that 40 to find what it'll cost us extra in time/ resources for those 2 Ultras.

So say 10 kills per battle takes 34 extra battles. =238 mins = 4hrs in 3 days

resources used = 238 batteries & a lot of drugs(obviously!, in this game nowadays)

Extra Rewards while you're doing this are...

• higher funds.
• challenge stars & rewards
• Maybe even aim for UFO event 10 pit stop box reward for using 700 SB, you could probably do it in 4 hrs if you seek out SB drops & use a bunch of your own SB.
• You should get UFO event reload mission for using OD's...50 of each supply back.
• Toxic shot effect UFO mission...if u want it.

Completing all these independence day missions is designed to rinse drugs cache of hardcore players/buyers. Especially as these missions have been added a few days after a bunch of no-lifers already used loads of resources to complete the UFO missions & the challenge already.  Many on this topic are thinking the whole of these missions are not worth it, true in most cases. But you can still get something out of it. In the example above it depends on luck of what u get from those 2 ultras.

Luck, yip if you believe in leprechauns, have your own personal rainbow, and are in possession of a six leaved clover AND have your best mate hazel on speed dial, then just mabey you might get something out of this challenge. GOOD LUCK.

So can you equip a drone in battle without batteries,meaning your drone might be equipped but will not function in battle because you have no batteries to power it up in battle. You can see how this statement of yours needs to be clarified. iv'e never tried it myself as it goes against what we know about drones/batteries working in tandem in battles.

keep encouraging players to use drones to make others game play terrible.. only in two battles today with lots of time on the clock. but in the end one sided battles with one team fully drones in use on  the winning team.. both battles were loosing before I even joined thanks  to MM system..

It seems that you just need to equip the drone. Even if you don't have batteries, and the Drone is not active, still kills are counted...

I'm not really sure, but can someone with zero batteries try this out and confim? Just keep the drone equipped, and see if your progress is recorded... i.e. whether the kills are counted.

EDIT:- @Levi had already clarified this point. I should have read that post...

Done and these special missions, was very easy, but very bad rewards from ultra containers ... only supplies, i lost and almost 1000 batteries for nothing and i said first time want only premium or tankoins, don't like random rewards ...

almost done with the super mission .450 kills left total (300 with lifeguard and 150 with mechanic ). wish me luck guys so that -

1.i can complete the mission 

2 .EMP rounds for gauss (i wanna get that from the containers)

im gonna collect the battery rewards after i use lifeguard to finish the missions using 0 batteries .jokes on u tanki .unless ...pls don't screw with my containers
