I honestly feel that the feedback players give in the News and Announcements section does have some influence....remember I said "some".

 

Specifically in the "wiki's hub" thread they take direct requests from players and add them into the wiki. 

 

However, it's a forum. The players aren't a "board of developers" who control the game's direction. If you look at many of the ideas and think about the general quality of the playerbase, it would actually be disastrous if the devs literally "listened to everything the players said."

 

Of course the game isn't perfect and I have many problems with it, I'm just establishing some points here. :)

He's not saying that, he's saying that the moderators need some newer people, not 50 year old people who have been on thee team since Tanki's official birth... He's also saying that the old moderators either need to go or get some serious rehab from Napoleon's Madness syndrome.

I believe you have made a wrong idea of the moderation team based on limited experience you've had with some of us. Our administrators do strict checks on our daily activities so there's no chance of being lazy and trolling around neglecting our responsibilities. Also, our guidelines require us to be courteous to all players and use the 'mod power' only as a last resort. As Mserbia has already said, you can contact the concerned administrator if you have had issues with a particular moderator(s).

Also, kindly use this topic for posting complaints since this is directly read by devs.

1 important thing. Please rethink of the curret alternation ~ I am sure that I saw 800-1600 dmg of altered railgun , same goes for altered hammer and isida ( they will more OP than others ) like isidas mostly heal in many maps ( means they get more score ) more shots of hammer means now it can defend and attack together ( if their are 4 shots of altered hammer then it means that m4 altered hammer will kill m3 mammoth ). Railgun m4 will KO wasp , hornet , viking , hunter , dictators in 1 shot

So, what is Tanki Online doing? I think it's pretty obvious by now. The funny thing is that there is very little point in me writing this, does any player who has supported this game and their developers since the beginning, ever get heard or felt like they had an input in anything? 

Example - DageLV and a few others asking for dev info on Alterations, Cedric says maybe when there's anything good they'll put it in the V-LOG... guess what, next V-LOG, new Alterations show up.

Now it obvious that these are people who hardly spend anytime on Tanki, this is bad because they're truly are unable to help anybody with their issues simply because they just don't know of the constant changes. I have a lot of issues with the idea of moderators, let me list some more. The personalities of these moderators, I feel and I have heard tons and I mean a lot of people say the same thing, whenever I speak to mod I expect to be speaking to a fellow player, who is simply in charge of improving the communication between developers and players, that's what moderators do in games. When I speak to a mod, I struggle to hear them because they are usually so far up their own rear, they can't relate to any of us anymore, simply because they have had such a high position for so long. Ever heard that power consumes people, the position of a mod in this game is as irrelevant as a grain of sand on a beach but add more grains to that one grain and you have a heap, mods+ mods + (no changes)= Mod Hedonism, grow up. I have spoken to a few moderators including OSTRICA and a few others, I am down to Earth guy I tell you that now if you haven't noticed, I play this game to have fun, I am 17 and pretty wise for my age. When moderators speak to me I feel like I am being spat in the face, it truly undermining the way they speak to players. They are sarcastic, rude, they don't listen, always feel the need to give excuses instead of admitting their ignorance about things. Why is it that such a small amount of people have so much power over other players in this game? Why can't that power be shared more vastly amongst those players in our community who have actually proved themselves, followed the majority of game rules and so on. I'm 17 as I said before, and I tell you right now it is frustrating to be treated like a child. How old are the majority of the moderators? From what they have said to me, roughly around 20-50 years old. Why is the range so wide, obviously is it because mods can't be taken seriously, they spew out so much unneeded verbal diarrhea . They are always joking about and never focused on their responsibilities. Does Tanki ever make any checks to see how the moderators are behaving or is that thinking too far ahead for such simplistic primitive minds? Tanki doesn't have this idea of democracy or the ideology of changing what actually matters in this game end of.

 

I'm sorry, I don't remember talking with you because I talk with a lot of players on daily basis. Yes, moderators are not perfect - which is logical since moderators are human beings with a lot of things on their plate in real life, but are still doing their best in Tanki every day for hours - and of course there's always place for improvement but I believe yours is a case of misplaced anger - maybe there's something in your life you want fixed but it's somehow impossible for you so you're redirecting your displeasure here... I'm saying this because your ban history and chat logs show recurring thing - you take pleasure in showing disdain and loathing towards moderators, even candidates. You also address other players rudely for which you've been warned and banned. I'd advise you to sort yourself out first, become more level-headed and then take things at face value.

Again, you can check my history and stuff but what you have just done just proves everything. Yes well done, I have expressed anger and used foul language against players but it has always been retaliation. You guys are always too late and are very biased. I apologise if you took offence in my words, I simply tried to define your attitude towards moderators in this game. I can assure you that we are monitoring their performance and attitude and that your disdain is completely misplaced. Most of them are too young to even have midlife crisis and none of them is egotistical or they wouldn't be able to sit on the chat and help players as much as they do, most of them for years now. I find them all to be great human beings and huge contributors to this community, which wouldn't be the same without them.

I think the main reason many players struggle to deal with Moderators is due to the massive age differences.

The majority of Tanki's Mod Team are 1 or 2 generations older than most of Tanki's players.

 

No wonder they can't relate to them. They're from a completely different era. Society has changed massively over the past decades, and what was seen as disdainful back then has become common place today. The older Moderators are no longer in touch with what is common place anymore, and they can't be.

 

Yes, I know that the Mod Team judge players according to the Rules, but the Rules can be viewed from different angles.

 

This isn't a dig at the Mod Team, because I hold great respect for them and the work they do :)

 

But maybe its time for an overhaul?

Funny thing is that several mods in the past were removed from chat mod team precisely because of the age gap and their inability to understand players which are mainly minors. We did hire younger staff and eventually some older people joined the team as well. That however isn't an issue since they are individuals reasonable enough to understand that this is a game and they are not here to act as someone's parents but as moderators who are to keep an order on the chat. The whole team discuss differences in opinion when some problem is at hand and differences between our age, cultural and religious background appear but ultimately we decide the course of the action together. Everything can be solved as long as people are open-minded, reasonable, can listen to other people's suggestions and accept changes.
