Complaint Book

I think upcoming custom battles will have an option to disable Overdrives. So that can solve problems of imbalance, if you there are problems of imbalance. Also it's worth pointing out that Overdrive in the game is different from the the Overdrive during the holidays.

You can still reach OD faster by using more supplies. When a team overall gets OD faster they can dominate more easily.

They kill faster and are harder to kill.

OD is obtained by doing the above (plus caps).  So the gap between team leading and team losing widens even further.

Overdrive.

This is the complaint book. Overdrive is the complaint. It truly sucks. The supplies-changes is part of it, but mostly overdrive. Total kills per battle has gone up substantially, but the total number of lopsided battles is excessive. Overdrive makes more killed battles as well as more killed tanks.

Cedric, it seems like the majority of people would like to see Overdrive abolished. Why not nerf it and make the time of having Overdrive shorter? Have a limit as to how many people can activate Overdrive from one person.

//As long as multing occurs,

no supplies sucks the most,

then overdrive sucks next most,

then the previous supplies version sucked.

Tanki should go back to no time limits or usage of supplies, even instantaneous usage, as long as one has them purchased in their garage!

(everything else sucks)// - me

Hello!

I Have Been Playing This Game From 2012.

I Fell In Love With The Game When I First Played It,But Slowly Game Started Turning Into NOTHING.It Really Hurts Me Seeing That That The Game Which I Enjoyed And Not Only Me Many People Is Already Dead. All Of My Friends Left The Game And I Don't Think That I Have Any Reason To Stay Here. I Could Play Without Friends But Its Impossible RN. I Will Always Remember Old Times (Till 2014 End). I Will Always Love Old Tanki And Never Forget Those Amazing Moments This Game Has Given To Me.

The Only Way To Help This Game Is Returning Old Times, Also I Think Administrators Themselves Should Start Playing More Often And Understanding The Situation That Is Going On RN.

I Am Leaving This Game And Following Other Players Who Left.

Hope This Game Will Be Great Again.

Best Luck To You And The Administrators!

The overdrive as it is now, is only a temporary thing.

Once all hulls have their own ability, the impact of the current overdrive (which will prevail only for a single hull) will be less then today.

Still this "all activated" is a feature that sounds too powerfull.. but I guess the dev's will first introduce the overdrives for other hulls, and then balance it out a bit in multiple stages.

What is this update "hulls have their own ability"?

Why do I get the feeling that once I finally get M4 viking and it will be turned into something completely different -_-

But way cheaper compared to before.

I know but 7+ days for one upgrade is crazy. I have free time to play at the moment, but in 7 days I might not be able to play at all. I just wish it was quicker.

The thing is one MU doesn't make a noticeable difference, you can only see the difference collectively, its not like you cannot use your weapon while its being MUed. I just press 'Upgrade' and forget about it.

If MU times were reduced far more people would have M4s and it wouldn't be such an achievement or advantage.

Check the current vLog, it has a nice part that explains the upcoming changes (but it does not yet tell which hull will get which ability).

Because you are maybe right. I stopped to microupgrade my Titan and wait what comes along.

I liked Overdrive during the holidays for three reasons: it was a way to fight back against constant druggers; it was a way for one team to break through tough opposition and capture a flag or a point;

How?

Since OverDrive relies a lot on accomplishments (like capping, killing, etc) "constant druggers" always got it first.  At that point they can now dominate those that do not yet have it.  OverDrive just made the gap between non-druggers and druggers wider. It was a reward for drugging.

I thought I was not gonna complain about it but I must say now, Cedric.

We need more tournaments, as currently I feel a deficit of it. Solo, Tandem, Trio, Clan - we need to have those consistently, not once a year. You are now streaming every DS game. However, what I expect is to see more tournaments so you can livestream finals of each tournament so streams become more interesting to watch since competitors are the best of tournaments.

Believe me, the eSports team are working their tails off to do that, while the Broadcasting team are doing the same to bring you all these livestreams. All we ask is that you be patient and we'll get there. If you look at the EN eSports team prior to April of this year, you'll notice just what a MASSIVE change has occurred.

Sure, but when your own Overdrive does inevitably charge-up, you feel like you can actually doing something. Also, consider the kind of score gap you'd need to have in order for your Overdrive to charge-up significantly faster than that of other players'. Hardcore druggers are capable of achieving that gap (but so are non-druggers), but if you a gap that big the game is already won or lost. Also, one player does not have an effect that big on the game.

All it takes is a couple hard-core druggers on same team, and 5 min in battle is lost.

Those two hard-core druggers get OD much faster than anyone else. Then, they juice up their team-mates and the pack goes on killing spree.

The defenders are now "suppressed" - re-spawning means you are building up OD even more slowly.

It is a positive-feedback-loop. I've seen quite a few battles where outcome is decided in 5 min or less.

Can still happen without OverDrive - but - OD speeds it up considerably and makes a "comeback" even more difficult.

Ok so this game was better before yall added all this junk such as magnum hammer is wayyy too op and knocks off railguns aim, basicly ALL of this stuff that yall added was meant to counter railgun, and railgun being bad already. for heavens sake what on earth are yall trying to do to the pros?

Well, personally I find everything quite balanced, I mean not perfect, but definitely bearable :p but regarding railgun, ye I used to play with it, it felt like the gun is only good when you camp, and in XP/BP. I only play the latter when I use railgun tbh :D Also, if you are saying regarding your rank, then yes unfortunately I also remember the ones that had bigger accounts and started new ones had a huge advantage, so it could be that they are actually alts.

Every hull and turret is good in certain maps and sometimes really hard to use in others. You'll learn valuable tactics by time. If you're really interested, I suggest you check out this section, So much to learn here :) http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showforum=279

If you're up for some advice, I invite you to read below.  It is up to you, however, to take my advice or leave it.

It seems to me that your "op junk" enemies knew your weaknesses (i.e. your Railgun's slow reload and delayed shot) and took advantage of them.  I'm certain that a Firebird caught you at close range and toasted you, right?  As for Smoky, perhaps a Smoky player just kept hitting you and throwing off your aim, right?

Some ways to not run into these bad situations is paying attention to your surroundings and being a bit cautious.  For Firebirds, they are most vulnerable if you are far away from them enough.  For Smokies, they can't knock off your aim if they can't hit you.  So, try and hit Smokies when they are looking the other way or are busy.

As for Magnums...well, I'd focus more on being mobile and unpredictable rather than taking them out.  It sucks that you take splash damage from a Magnum's bomb, but remember that Magnums have to take time to charge their shot.  Use that time to move out of the way.

I'd also recommend not playing Silence or Rio, for fear that Magnums will ring terror down below.

Magnum needs the post-introduction tweak - just like every other turret received.

It makes CTF and one-point CP battles unplayable.

Magnums do not dominate polygon CP, which is a classic example of a one-point CP battle.

Well, at least in drug-free pro mode. I have not tried it with supplies and a Magnum.

They are effective in the no-supply battles, as are any area-effect turrets.

But waaaay more brutal in supplies.  They use a DD to wipe out the pit, and pop a DA when confronted. And since they are one of the rare tankers who bought a magnum protection module self-damage is <<.
