@BlackWasp777, you clearly did not bother to take a look at my profile before just throwing your two cents of wisdom into the forum.

That is perfectly true, because I did not write about you in particular; and not even about you in general.

 

In your post you referred to a battle where a whole team was not up to the potential they could have in terms of equipment (without spending money).

This players with equipment outside of their ranks (Product Kits) is getting absolutely absurd.  I just left a TDM battle where the majority of the other team were using M3 tanks that have been Micro Upgraded.  Now the upper end of the rank spectrum for this battle was Lieutenant General.

 

As explained, I had enough crystals for purchasing two M3 kits shortly one after another.. so I could have purchased one kit and MU it pretty much as well. And I would never call me a "pro".. on my main (legend 1 by that time) I was pretty much average in terms of skills. Nothing outstanding. So a lot of alt players can raid through battles with ease. But as I wrote.. I think this path is only accessible to players who play that game quite some time and know their ways around. Even players that are broke at WO1 and start from the scratch have a different mindset in their second try.

 

The availability of kits is a bit of a problem.. but only for some ranks - then it starts to levels out again. Of course the game would be more balanced if this would not be the case - but if I would have to choose between those ways to monetizse the game:

 a- purchase moderate permanent power

 b- purchase moderate power where the others catch up pretty fast

 c- purchase temporary crazy amount of power (aka supplies)

 

..then I clearly preffer b.

 

In the end this game is a business, and by that means a money whole for the buyers and a "free to ____" game for the non buyers. Besides of drugs most of the stuff here is more or less balanced - IMHO.

 

So as said: I did not adress you, but the fact that while teams do not have that equipment. Yes, that's normal, yes that's not as good as it could be, and YES. that's a reason why this game is still for free.

I feel the game is very balanced when I wreck entire teams on my alt because I bought an OP kit early on.

The point is that every player has access to the M2 and M3 kits without money. So yes, this is called balance :p

 

 

example:

 

 

Player A never purchases drugs, paints and focuses on 2 combos.

Player B has 4 paints, 3 modules and spends his crystals on drugs frequently.

 

Both end up in the rank where they get their first access to buy the M2 combo.

 

Player A has enough crystals and get's the kit.

Player B has wasted too much during his carear, and claims the game in unbalanced as he get's wrecked by player A.

None of them has spend real money.

Both have the same skill

Is it game balance that affects this, exactly this very certain case?

 

Even chess (a very good example for a very well balanced game) feels unbalanced for the less skilled player makes mistakes and looses half of his figurines.

(just in case you think I write all this because I am a mod > here are the things that I do not like (to keep the balance, you know ;) ) -> balance issues imho: 50% modules affect the turret choice very bad, supplies in general, light hulls lack agility (acceleration and turning speed), and xp/bp was better as 2 shots did the kill)

I get what you are saying and I agree in part. However:

There is simply no way a F2P can earn that many crystals at that rank. Now one can buy that kit a few ranks later and it will work fine, but buying these M1 kits at the very rank they unlock is something only buyers can do. I pretty much agree in regards of M1 kits -> therefore I only talk about M2 and M3 kits in my posts

 

(I still remember that one M1++ Smoky player that had the same online times as I did and liked the same maps. Hegave me hard times when I was still waiting for my M1 rail to unlock. .that was a tough cookie in his upgraded viking M1++. On the other hand I just had to switch some battles, and went others, and as the time went on the issue leveled out by itself.

 

In the ideas section are some very good ideas about

- having all M1s unlock at the same rank

- limiting the amount of MUs you can apply to your gear by your rank as well

 

Those two would really solve some issues, as the first idea (same unlock ranks) would make the balance between the M1s and the M2s easier; and the second one would help to limit the power-advantage that players can have vs each other.

Buyers could still have the edge by allowing purchased gear to be unlocked +3 stages past the free players (or alike.. would have to be thought through a bit more.. but you get the idea).

Even I struggled a lot when I had m1's and players bought m2 hornet n m2 freeze before the unlock.

Now it's ok, but I am sure soon I will be facing m3++ when I will have m2 10/10, so what can we do, just play good.

Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland. 

This is the greenest day of the year and even though it is an Irish celebration, many people around the globe are celebrating with them. It is said that if you catch a leprechaun on this day, he will trade all of his treasure or grant you three wishes in exchange for his freedom. 

We decided not to torment the poor leprechauns, but instead, grant you the three wishes straight away, plus a BONUS one!

The celebration will last 2 full days, between the 17th and the 19th of March, 5:00 UTC, and here's how we're going to celebrate:

1. 50% discount on premium;
2. Double experience in battles;
3. 30% discount on some of the green paints and skins:
   • The "Frontier Zero" skins for Ricochet and Titan. These will be available for sale for 2 days. These items are usually obtainable exclusively from a container.
   • The "Acid" ammunition for Ricochet and the "Rodger" paint, will both be available at 175 X-crystals instead of 250 X-crystals. 
4. BONUS! A couple of items will be available for Crystals instead of X-crystals:
   • The "Matte Green" paint will be available at 2000 Crystals instead of 250 X-crystals. 
   • The "Up" and "Peace" graffiti will be available at 1000 Crystals instead of 125 X-crystals.

 xd sometimes i like top play wasp fire :P but yea i love to play xp alot. But still the ability of not choosing our own non pro battles is what i hate .-.

Okay I have a list of complaints that are issues with game too, so I am posting here:

1. The forum does not let me to sigh in using mobile, the mobile version of forum is pretty neat and cool, but when I try to sign in it says username could not ne found.
2. the mobile version of the forum does not have the number of pages button.
3. The Vlog said that there will be a mass testing of MM on 17th but I did not find anything in the test servers.
4. I never knew that if you join a game within 2 minutes of first exit, you join the same game, as I use client and that has never happened.
5. The client has no reload button, so if I lose my internet connection the screen blackens and I am kicked out of the server and I can't join again.
6. The client always crashed if I am in the game and I minimize the screen, and it happens only with TO's client.

They said a mass testing of the new controls. Not the MM system.

A temporary solution could be if you try switching to desktop version, signing in then switching back to the mobile version.

Flash will freeze an application if it is not active for optimization purposes. I know Flash does this in browsers, and I would not be surprised if the same thing happens when you minimize Tanki client.

To my knowledge that only happens in Chrome since it is Chrome that freezes Flash objects when not in use. Not Flash itself.
