1 day bans are a joke, it should be at least 3 days, because I'm pretty sure many mults also do chain missions, so this will break their chains.

Sir,I have to report some problems or bugs which I faced.

 

1)On 12/4/2018,Cosmonautics day,a meteorite fell in polygon just before the battle ends.After the restart we went to the location to catch gold.But no use.It didn't function even though we touched it.

2)Today(14/4/2018),I was playing aleksvandrok .Suddenly I saw a message in the top right corner of the screen.It said that there was a problem.It gave me 2 options.Ok and Restart.I came out of the battle by clicking "battles" and entered the same battle.Everything was alright.It happened exactly 2 times.

The way you eliminate cheating and multing tanki will never do because they need money.

 

You kick them from the game permanently.

 

And to do that you can't allow alts because now all they do is get one day ban, play their alt and laugh at tanki that one day, then go right back to cheating.

 

Block their MAC address forever.

 

Of course they can still get a new NIC or new computer but at least put them through some trouble.

 

I don't know, I am just rambling but there has to be a better way.

 

 

blocking of MAC address is technically not possible; blocking of IP addresses is not useful.

Therefore any action that's undertaken makes more sense of the base of an account, then on the base of an IP address.

Beeing blocked for one day from the game is just the start. The more often you get caught, the more will the punishment be increased. The amount of continous growing punishment, makes people think and change their behaviour.

 

But only if they get caught.. which is actually the tricky thing about it.

• A MAC address is not accessible via the internet, as it is only exchanged on the ethernet layer, and not on the TCP/IP layer. IP packets do not contain your MAC address any more. Besides that modern network equipment often allows a change of the MAC address by some software tools that make use of firmware features.

 

A block of IP addresses

=> technically possible, but not very useful

There are three very common mechanisms about IP addresses, and it doesn't work well for a single one of them

 

(simplified explanations)

Locking up that IP will not harm him. On the other side the used IPs are reused for other customers of that InternetServiceProvider, at a later point in time, so you end up locking other people that do not even know the cheater.

• a computer has a dedicated, public IP that stays the same all the time they uses the internet - those could be blocked. But if that's a shared computer (two brothers), the cheating of one would also lock out the other.
• not a computer, but a household has a dedicated, public, non-changing IP like above, and they use NAT to use that internet access by several people. Lock the IP and none of them can play any more.
• a player has a dedicated public IP that changes each 24h/31days/each time he restarts his access router/...
• many players (hosted by the same internet service provider) share the same IP using NAT (network address translation). Again the cheating of a single player would lock out hundreds.

 

 

 

Technically you can do a lot of freaking stuff today to find cheaters and lock up their accounts with a high hit-rate.. but the really effective things cost more then Tanki could afford.

 

 

Other games with a lot more resources started to form groups of professional players, that watched recordings of battles where players have been reported to cheat. Those players know that other game very well, and can differentieate between actions that would be impossible, except you use an aimbot or a wall hack (e.g.). In that group of professionals more then ~95% of the group members had to agree, that the player under suspicion is a cheater.. then an action was taken. Of course this takes a lot of time of various people, so the catch-rate was quite low.

Recently that game started to train KIs (based on a loooooot of hardware) by using that pre-judged recorded game data.. and it works quite good now. Now they can use the software to search for cheaters, and if someones suspicion ratings go up they can still check those manually..

 

Of course only really big companies can afford that.

Well, it doesn't really matter anymore. They had years to get ideas (even from other games) if they really wanted to. With his day I will become one of those tens of thousands who left this game. It's one of the most unfair online games I've ever played. Good luck to all.

I think this happened to Maf also, its not a huge issue so I dont think the devs will fix it- unless meteorite gold become a permanent option.

what just happened to my garage on my 24-carrot  account . I went to up grade my protection packages and hit on one of them and then a window pops up saying my protection package is out of date . then I look again and only have 5 protection packages in my garage , the protection 4 system thing was also removed , I own it from before the paint system was changed over and now Its all gone even some I had long time ago when It was the paint and protection together systems..????

 

 

so I went back into my account and all was back to normal I think? . but this was strange for it to happen . I have never seen anything like this pop up happening

It's a known issue, occasionally the prizes and speed-up times aren't displayed correctly so that message pops up. Going to the lobby and back to the garage solves it.

I cannot access Tanki.com with desktop computers but I can even join battles with Puffin browser on my Tablet. Strange !

I only complain about cheating when someone changes.

 

For example, last game of Poly I am playing M4 Titan/M4 Twins. One of the enemy is playing same hull/turret.

 

First game, I kill him and kill him. Second game he kills me so fast boom! I know he has started lag hacking.

 

It happens all the time. I am slaughtering then I suddenly can't kill them. Now they could have gone and changed protection but I look at that also before I would accuse.

This is becasue of lag. Today same thing happens to me. i  lagging badly and i shot 4 times with rico but no damage to opponent and in 5th shot 1100+ damage to him in 5th shot with rico. There is no any such a hacking software,its just on lag

unfortunately its true. u r lagging but u never play pro battles in which hard format clans are playing ( HILL, noise, silence, island, Farm ) . i got a 1 month banned before just becasue i lag in noise ctf drug battle. i lag and some 1 report on russian forum and booOOOM. i dont wanna say but they dont know  the differnce between lag and hack.

1. There's not enough supplies from mission chains. I can't keep up with druggers once my 168 supplies run out each week.

 

2. The new update is unfair. I have to complete an additional 6 weeks just to keep claiming the meagre prize I claim now?

1. That's unlike me. I have tons of drugs: 500+ repairs, 2000+ others from missions and mission chains. The same on 3 acc I play.

 

2. Agree. They added 1 containter to mission prize which is not enough, since containter hardly ever means crys. At least u can break mission chain and still keep up the progress.

Nothing has changed as far as we know. What makes you think there was ever a 30-50% chance to get crystals to begin with? This is your own (flawed) intuition.
