And while you are at it I am sick and tired of playing these goddamn cheating Russians. Don't they have their own server?

Nope, servers are all located in Netherlands. And since the merge update all players (EN, RU, PL and D) are now playing under the same roof.

Cheaters are not defined by nationalities that is a really narrow-minded vision of the problem. If players help reporting them too, then we will catch more of them.

Hi TankiOnline staff and its community,

 

I know that the following ideas will break some rules (if I'm not wrong), but I absolutely wanted to share my opinion about Tanki.
I've been playing Tanki for a while, since summer 2011 and since summer 2012 for this account...
You know what I would take about today ? Simply that Tanki is just crashing himself in a wall (and this make me winning) !
Since two-years, since Semyon Kirov (best and dedicace to him <3) has left (personnal reasons not related to Tanki), we saw many updates, some good, but a large part of those updates is ruining the game.
Missions mecanisms balance (not economic mechanic), gold box who is dropping 10s after the sound, which is totally stupid in my opinion (waiting 30s or +1min, so exciting !), supplies mechanic are some of these ruining-update...
I just want to make Tanki better, and as the rumor says, the" old tanki was better" is not just a rumor...
RIP TankiOnline, but despite of this, you will stay in my memory, as one of the best game ever !!
Don't hesitate to contact me mp, if you agree with this or simply to discuss about Tanki or another topic...

not sure if others are having issues . but I was in open chat talking to friends and it took like a 1 second to post my message. then as I continued to chat it started to increase the duration of time to post . I had to wait like 2 to 3 seconds. then it increased to 5 or more, now I can't post in open chat on that account. I was not banned or anything just took longer to post.

so I jumped onto anther account to see if it was having the same issues , but nothing was wrong with it . I was posting as soon as i hit post.

This sometimes happens to me when I am badly lagging. Did you notice if your PING was unusually high?

i can understand if this happened in battle chat . but this was in normal open chat General one . i can't see if there was pink or lag. normally i can chat and post without any issues. I can do it in Face book and other locations without issues so why only tanki ?

Chances are you were lagging but you coudnt tell because you were outside of battle.

There you go again. Two battles, zero stars. I managed to get two missions done, so I sure seem to have been active.

 

Your definition of active participation stinks. It is really sickening.

 

Of course, both battles were absolute slaughters of the team I was unfortunate enough for MM to have stuck me in, but I was active from the moment I was stuck on the hopeless team until the end. Active, yet no stars.

 

If kills are the criteria, and I have a bad match, at least I get the kills I know I achieved. Stars depend too much on luck.

 

MM is broke. The stars system is broke.

Maybe its not flawed. Maybe its supposed to be based on luck somewhat.

Yup - stars is all-or-nothing.

 

They don't give you much of an incentive to stay in an ugly battle, and getting placed in a partial battle by MM?  Asta-la-vista.

of course you stay in ugly battles... you can still get 3 stars so why not?

 

partial battles are even better. lesser time to get the stars

You missed the point.

 

One can often get ZERO stars because... 1) You spend more time spawning than you do earning points and 2) there is not enough time in battle when you arrive to get the minimum required score.

1) that has happened to me 0 times so far

 

2) okay on the rare times the battle ends 1 minute after you join this applies... but this is rare, if there's 2 minutes or more you can still get stars...

;;; you don't really have to be that good... if the battle is ugly that means that your team is noob and you can easily take the first place. but when your team is winning that probably means you got m4 druggers on your team and you probably won't get 3 stars

Are you reading anything that people are posting?

 

It's entirely possible that you can score < 100 when...

1) the other team is dominating so badly the only thing you can do is die+spawn - You can finish First on a bad team and still get ZERO stars.

2) it can easily take > 2 minutes to score 100.

 

You do realize there's a minimum threshold to obtain even 1 star, right?

whenever i get spawn killed i switch to magnum+titan+magnum module so i kill a lot wit double damage in an instant before i die... so 100 score in 2 minutes is easy and a battle with 2 minutes left basically means 3 stars in 2 minutes. don't even need to be good at playing, just need a magnum

constantly getting killed actually speeds up the long reload of magnum actually

Obviously it is not as easy as you claim since other posters have voiced displeasure about getting the threshold.

 

I'm an average player and have had multiple times that, due to MM or team compositions, I have ended up with zero stars.

 

And... you are just reinforcing the reasons why Magnum does need to be nerfed.

for today's real issues .. just tried to post a photo and this thing pops up. I knew this week issues were starting to happen.

But - If MM places me in an ongoing battle with only 3 minutes left, why would I waste my time there if there's a possibility I get ZERO stars?

 

I've seen end-of-battle screen-shots where no one on losing team got any stars.  That's just silly. Should be minimum of 1 star for staying in and finishing the battle.

I rechecked that it looks slightly better than I though. I looked at the pic of the week from the last star hunt (early September) and the screenshots shows that:

 

- for team mode: to earn one star your score needs to be equal or higher than 90 regardless of the kills. 

 

- for DM mode - the lowest I saw was 6 kills minimum to earn a star.

Yupe I feel your pain been down that road many a times . when it happens I normally just leave the battles why waste your time doing them.
