Please don't clear your cache if you're not having any issues. The cache is there for a reason, its purpose is to store certain parts of the game so you can load battles faster. It also stores your Ignore list. Only when specific issues start occurring (such as after an update), clearing your cache could solve the problem.

If you report them with proper proof, they will be banned. Why dont you try that, instead of complaining about it? Based on your posts you seem to encounter hackers very often, so it shoudnt be hard to record and report some of them.

you told me to clear the cache even after i already did it every day (and an admin told me not to). maybe you should listen first before telling me to clear it again?

he was asking what they were gonna do about it. not what he should do about it. it's not his faul they were there so he shouldn't have to do anything about it. however, if they want people to keep on playing then it's their buisiness to do something about it themselves

Alright first off, would like to clear this confusion among you people. We, are not, in any way, a part of the Tanki development team. We do not manage anything, and we aren't paid to say nice things about developers, we say nothing but the truth, and if a helper doesn't do that, I'm afraid he/she does not deserve to be one. The only reason we avoid criticizing is because we are supposed to be a source of inspiration, a source of light in the darkness, and if we start strongly criticizing developers for all the wrongs they have done(there have been alot), then we end up discouraging everyone, because an avatar is not just a toy to play with, it is a responsibility. 

Second of all, there is no such thing as a perfect game. All Battle Moderators are real people with real lives, and real families who expect things from them. The developers are introducing anti-hack systems which can detect and properly levy sanctions against hackers, but you can't find a battle moderator every time you press the report button. This bunch of around a dozen people are involved in each community, and it's a very difficult job for them to keep track of every single thing that goes on. You need to understand that, we aren't just some fancy people with special groups who you get to point fingers at, we are only volunteers.

So the devs are working on an anti-hack system? That will be interesting. It is hard to believe they even recognize that there is hacking in the game since they don't listen to players at all. They have created anti-hacks before that didn't work so we'll see.

 

And as you can see I have been in the game for a good amount of time. I have NEVER, not in one game EVER, seen a cheater removed from a game, no matter how many report it.

 

Then there is reporting cheaters. I am going to take time out of my play to record cheaters then put it on yourtube. Then what happens. I read the violator section. Most are "you don't have enough proof, or you didn't follow the rules for posting.. The ones that do get banned it is mostly one day. I saw a few that were one month. During that time they play with their alt and just keep cheating. They have to be permanently banned. Let someone build all the way up to Legend with a great garage and then get banned for life that might make an impact.

I cannot speak for the developers themselves, how they operate and how they decide to prioritize things, but yes, anti-hack systems are updated occasionally, if not regularly. As for your 2nd observation, I second that. I haven't seen anyone being removed as of yet, but the absence of something can always mean the presence of another thing. Maybe all the hackers you haven't seen have been put there by a battle moderator's hard work.

Your suggestion to increase ban lengths depending on the said person''s rank is more than welcome in the Ideas and Suggestions section, I personally like the idea of having a greater penalty for high ranked violators, considering they've been around for a while and should, in theory, be more aware of the rules. Cut some slack for the newbies who aren't really sure what the penalty would be for hacking in Tanki.

In addition to what @Destrod said, you only mentioned one of three ways you can report a violation in battle and they won't take any thing out of your time while playing :

1. Vote the player while you are in the battle 
   

2. Send the battle link + nickname of the player in the Game reports chat channel 
   

3. Record a video and send it in the Game violation section in forum 

about the forum reports just to clear things to you, to punish a player a battle mod must be 100% sure that the player is doing a violation ( hack, sabotage etc) before he takes any action against that player whether if it's a report on forum or in battles and for forum game reports the report must follow the game reports section rules.

 

as for ban/block duration, the punishment for a hacker is always ban for a month and block forever not for one day! and this punishment is for all players and all ranks it doesn't matter if he is a high/low ranked player the punishment is the same.

Don't worry and be patient. Devs are working on Hammer XT and a new animated paint. That will solve all problems with matchmaking.

Giving Shaft the shaft with last turret "balance" makes the only effective turret as useless as the rest. It's always whatever turret someone uses on me kills me instantly and when I use them nobody sustains an injury. Wow, awesome job creating a flash based video game! The longer I have played the more I see decline in performance obviously due to additional loading of add on characteristics like those awful worthless drones. I wont even go into the battery idea. "Protection" modules again are not worth the lag they create to get into the game or the benefit gained which is worthless. The only thing you had was Shaft Titan with sniper reload depending on how long it takes to aim and fire. I spent months getting good at that and now I can't defend myself against a wasp with ANY turret. Pathetic! I have watched my K/D ratio go from 4 to 2.49 and dropping just since you done this. My Efficiency rating has been on a steady decline while my skills are unchanged. You did this at the same time as selling the Shaft XT which makes no sense to me from a business angle. It just takes too long to reload a decent shot especially when you only get double digit damage on the arcade shot. I went from being at or near the top in the battle list to being in the middle or bottom and it stinks!

 

Furthermore, I used to buy the easy stars but no chance of getting the paint now = lost opportunity due to bad turret change.

There is no point.  Just. Hit. Exit.     (make sure to wait ~ 1 min so they don't dump you into exact same battle before it expires)

matchmaking did it's job by distributing equal numbers of legends on each team... but those on my team choose to behave like recruits and let me carry them instead.


If someone does not live up to what his rank makes matchmaking means for him to do then he should be allowed to remain a legend

So what if this L gets dropped down to Gismo.  You will still be playing with players like that due to your rank and the wide rank spreads TO MM uses.

 

Plus - it's hardly a punishment.  All items are already unlocked. All this does is lower the threshold for another rank-up bonus.

You dont have to create an account (well IDK about Imgur, but I use Postimage and I dont have an account.) Just go here and either upload an image from your computer or just drag and drop. Copy the Direct Link and paste it into the Image option on the toolbar (Its right below the text color box.

Now I have pictures, I can explain what happens better.

 

I don't have pictures, when trying to post pictures from postimage, the forum editor says:

<"an error occurred: you are not allowed to use that image extension on this community">

 

When I first click "Play", it takes me to the waiting page, and after one or two seconds, begins loading a battle.  However, inevitably this happens

(it has happened every time I have tried to play since last week)

The forum only accepts certain image formats (format in this context means not the height and width of the image, but the encoding of the image data into a file that can be stored, locally or online). A format that is widely accepted is JPG or jpeg (both ok). You can convert your existing files by using an online converter, like this one: https://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-jpg

 

upload your image there, it will be converted to JPG format, and then you can download the result.

You can use those resulting files in the forum as it was explained to you before.

 

Next time when you take a screenshot, you can try to save then im JPG (jpeg) directly.

Protections are everything once you get into higher ranks... trust me. Also, why do you use shaft in MM. Worst turret for it. Oh, and K/D is worthless in this game, only salty noobs complain about that. I do agree with the batteries part though.

 

 

My advice for regaining your footing: Save for the Atlas kit. Best one there is, and I think it unlocks in a couple of ranks for you.
