I'll just complain about every kit in the shop that gives you certain turret/hull which is unlocked much later. I remember when i was in beginner's ranks, one guy had smoky and titan m1 at Gefreiter rank. Well it would be ok if smoky m1 is unlocked 2 or 3 ranks later, but i checked the garage and its unlocked in first sergeant rank. Thats 6 ranks later!! How do you expect that someone who just started playing the game would enjoy when he sees someone with m1? Plus use drugs, because now 80% players in MM use drugs. And they're not rarely seen. Each 4th battle that i join in MM i see a kit buyer. Especially at low ranks kit buyers are dominating because kits are cheap, most beginners will probably leave or become buyers too. Well at beginning you level up fast thats true, but but those 5 rank early kits are present in mid ranks and in high ranks where you don't level up fast. What if someone dreams about having thunder m1, and plays with lots of effort to save crystals, and he finally purchase thunder m1 and then he sees someone with thunder m2 in same rank. WO4 that is. And for buyer its not problem to upgrade his thunder m2 to 10/10 and make it as strong as m3. Why wait Marshal rank when you can have m3 at WO4. For me this is completely unfair. Kits should be available like those in garage 2 or 3 ranks earlier not 5 or 6. Mostly kits don't even appear in garage, so kit users are mostly buyers anyway.

true, you unlock the first M3 at Sergeant Major - Siberian kit which has freeze m2 and hunter m1 can be bought in the shop, in garage it unlocks at WO2, you can get freeze m2 at WO5 - strange that you can actually get it at 5 ranks earlier and upgrade it to M3

Yes and even if they dont upgrade they're powerful, because 5 ranks is a big difference, having m1 at m0 ranks, m2 at m1 ranks is really unfair, also m3 kits unlocked at Brigadier which is also 4 ranks before Marshal rank and thats a really huge difference because you rank up really slow. The moment you reach Marshal, those who bought m3 kits at Brigadier can upgrade it to M4

First off, why is the "Complaint Book" in "News and Announcements" and not "General-Game Discussion"?

Second: The Eng violation section is closed.  It is extremely difficult to access the Russian Forum to lodge any kind of game violation notice...I quit trying after about fifteen minutes of trying to navigate locked topics, translations, and other hurdles in the path to send you guys notice of a ligitimate, easy to adress game violation.

In the spoiler is a player that has an offensive nickname...

It seems to me that the forum should have some sort of section for stuff like this even though it might take up some moderator time...maybe get a dedicated Violation moderator or two.  You only pay them in game stuff.

Simply so its able to get more exposure to players.

There is an English topic explaining how to report violations here: https://ru.tankiforum.com/topic/173153/ you can simply bookmark it or navigate to it in a couple of seconds with Google translate, its also linked on the EN forum.

It is far more time efficient to have those one or two moderators in-game helping in chat and dealing with violations on the spot than being tied up processing player reports which have proven to be full of false information and 'revenge reports'.

Finally, inappropriate nicknames can be reported directly to Help Desk here: https://tankionline.com/forms/free/en/ please do not post them on the forum.

1.  Maybe a pinned notice in "General" with a link or directions for a poster might be helpful.  Some people might be unfamiliar with the forum or some might not realize that complaints would be located in the "News and Announcements" section.

2. How would anyone know that?...maybe put a blurb (white words in your quote) in the defunct "Violations" section along with the rerouting to the Russian forum.

----------------------------------------------------------

PS    The link you just gave to report inappropriate nicknames is nothing but the help desk form.  ...You know, I just don't care enough to bother trying to help any more...it takes up too much of my time and only adds to my frustration with the game.  I've wasted over an hour with this so far...too much.  If Your-Mom-Guzzles-MaleChickens likes his name, and Tanki doesn't have an easy way to combat foul (bad pun here :)) nicknames, it's OK with me...I'm not going bother anymore.

There is no added value to create specific form for every sort of request, hence a generic form like this one.

Tech support is the only one dealing with inappropriate nicknames, so simply:

Click the link https://tankionline.com/forms/free/en/

Fill in the form with the inappropriate nickname details

Submit and you are done.

Can't be simpler than that.

The complaint book is already one of the most active topics on the forum so I think the decision to place it in the N&A section was right. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

My biggest complaint about the game now is how totally random it is. One can never know what to expect. Some opponent with this drone or that, with this protection or that, or with this alteration or that. One cannot take appropriate action. There is also the inability to have any confidence a player is cheating or hacking is some way because of so many possible game features that allow for the observed situation.

Specifically, I've always been called a cheater and hacker when doing well, especially Ricosck when I happen to be the highest rank in a match. I'm not cheating, I'm just whooping them. I've played long enough with my equipment that I know what to expect of it, and I know how fast I should be able to kill a given opponent. Currently, though, I can face opponents who just won't die. I've seen opponents survive longer than the should have against just me, yet they are also taking fire from others. It doesn't make sense. Did the immortal have an active Defender Drone? Was there some other factor or combination of factors I was unable to consider? Or did the player hack the damage algorithm such that his tank had a permanent Defender-Drone-like protection?

All of the changes and new additions keep complicating the game more such that counter play becomes impossible, especially for nonbuyers (or low-budget buyers).

There is also matchmaking. One battle, I'm last; next battle, I'm first. Perhaps against all lower ranks, perhaps against all high-level Legends. This skill, that equipment, it is all just luck. Sure, skill still matters, but luck matters SO MUCH MORE! It is frustrating.

What can be done? Probably nothing. Maybe it will help if hulls are spread apart again. Maybe it will help if hulls gain some hit points. Maybe it will help is speeds go up (except for Mammoth, which should be even slower, and should have some small long-range defense built in (or something that might add some uniqueness to it, or anything, again).

Maybe adding the old maps to MM with their larger teams will help.

I don't know. I don't care to discuss it. I just want to vent my complaint. I know no one cares. I don't care. I'd keep complaining about the worst problems.

I've grown overly frustrated with the game again, especially with repeatedly being silenced and scolded, even when I've not come even close to rule-violations. It is getting hard to log in even to play a couple battles and maybe get a mission or two. I've given up on Challenges. If I get a bit extra, okay, but Storm paint? I bet 60% of players ranked above Captain already had it in their garage. Oh well.

There seems to be no effort at all to reduce frustrations. There isn't even mention of how some of the problems and frustrations might be addressed, or even that addressing them is even being considered.

I've head so many complaints over and over, and so many threats of quitting, over and over, and I've seen so many predictions of Tanki's imminent demise. Things are getting worse, but I don't see any of that happening soon. Of course, for myself, the Premium I invested in, and won lots of extra, fortuitously, is running out in a few days. I'm sure I'll stick it out through March, but without the Premium bonus, well, if I thought the game was worth anything, I'd consider buying Premium again on the next sale, but I can't justify parting with my money any more.

Oh well.

OKDad70

I sympathize with you and I am just as frustrated to the point that I do the missions to get enough crystals for some upgrades and buy a pro pass so I can play on the maps I want just for the fun of it.

But let me tell you one thing: Nothing is random in this game.  everything done by "management",  is done on purpose.

1.  They on purpose shortened the battle time so they can inflate the number of battles and at the same time make it difficult to complete the missions in hopes that you will get frustrated and you will spend money in the Shop. Just like you did by purchasing the Premium account.

2. The containers are anything but random.  The majority of them are either Speed boost, Mines or useless paints that perhaps only a shopaholic would purchase!

3. A moderator said that they decided to let the system chose the maps because we were playing mostly on Polygon! Guess what! I have noticed that the majority of the time, I get dumped in to the "new" Polygon map anyway, sometimes as 4 times in a row especially in CP missions! Good luck completing a mission there with only 3 CPs and 20 players in such a small map! Done on purpose so you will have to play multiple battles in order to complete your mission therefore increase your time you spend in the game.

4. The small selection of maps is also done on purpose.  It is much easier and cost effective to maintain a smaller number of map rather than a whole bunch of them!  Think about this:  why they did not transfer the new maps to Pro battles? my guess is because they will have to maintain ALL of the Maps and perhaps they do not have the resources to do it.

I could go on and give you more reasons why there is nothing random in this game but I think you get the point.

When an enemy tank does not take damage, he/she is cheating. Or a glitch. Even me as a P2W.... I feel bad for the non-buyers. You are right that nowadays, F2P players stands zero chances against buyers who has OP equipments.

Speed boost drug is not that bad... but mines and obsolete paints triggers me.

I'm not really interested in discussing, but I appreciate the comments. While Devs and staff are making the decions on purpose, I think most of the problem is snowball effect. They opted for "new" rather than fixing problems while they were fixable. I understand needing the new. Old players want new stuff, and new players have more to spend money on, but the problems are intractible now.

By random, I mean strategy doesn't help. Too many factors are uncontrollable and unknowable.

It has been a couple years since I saw players take no damage. I just see low numbers. It could be defender drone, or it could be hack, or it could be something else. Sadly, I don't think those who can do something about it care, or they realize there isn't anything can be done at this point.

ikr, whenever i shoot some noob or just some random player - damage is always same (Without modules)

but whenever i see those russians and i shoot them, it just seems as if they are not dying. no matter how much i try (yes even they did not have any modules) its weird to see one person come in to our base - grab the flag, getting hit by almost everyone in our team, not dying and quietly driving out as if there is no one

I understand that you're frustrated with all the changes that have been happening in the past year. You raise valid points, but I'd like you to understand two very important things:

1. There's a bigger picture to all of these changes. The changes themselves don't make sense individually, but in the aggregate —and over time— they will benefit the community.

2. This last year was a huge transition period where the devs needed to bring the game to a level where it should have been for a long time. We've basically experienced 10 years of growth and development in a single year. And it's just like growing pains in kids — it can be painful. Ultimately though, it's beneficial to all involved. It will make the game more enjoyable, and it will make Tanki more commercially stable as a product. And both of those are important, because if the product is not commercially viable, it shuts down, and there will be no Tanki Online to play.

I'll refrain from going through each of your points individually, because I don't want to write a wall of text that nobody will want to read. But the above two points should clarify my position well enough.

I do hope you can understand my (and the company's) position as I understand yours.

1.  "over time"... how much time until the community sees the benefits?  What is the missing piece of the puzzle?  (Don't say OD..)

2. There is very little enjoyment now.  It is much more of a "chore" to play.  Mission requirements and Match-Maker issues are a huge factor in the loss of joy.  If those are not fixed you will lose even more players.

What "bigger picture" From what I'm seeing, this "bigger picture" looks like a funless drugfest where skill is nonexistent. Also I'd like to see your wall of text.

Look what happened to C&C. They tried to modernize the game and look what happened to it.

I understand you are mistaken.

Overdrives are not going to fix anything. Nothing is going to help MM battles be mostly balanced. Nothing is going to make the system understandable strategically. Frustration is now the rule.

I'm a big picture kinda guy, an engineer by nature, training, and experience, and a dad, innately, and with five of my own children and I work weekly with the children of others. My breadth of experience is significant, as human experience goes. This system doesn't work well, and things that don't work well are inevitably abandoned.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply, and I appreciate that my thoughts are being left visible, even if not taken seriously.

I complained about not knowing if players might be cheating. Ricosck is full M4. I know my turret. I know how fast opponents should die. They aren't. Either you have weakened the basic Ricochet without telling us, or there is a widespread hack that lowers average damage taken.

Question to the Devs, I really hope for an answer: Why cannot matches end early when woefully lopsided, like the old days? Why stuff poor sods in to get spawn killed and no stars? Why?

They are trying to use the "woefully lopsided" for filling in the empty seats when players are waiting.
