Okay. Ostrica, time to stop talking. No offence, but I believe your job here is to pass complaints on to the devs. You don’t neeed to share your point of view. So swallow anything you personally dislike, pass the info to the devs, and leave. We, the players, have clearly indicated time and again on thousands of forum pages that MM needs to go. Only the poor blokes who haven’t known anything else will be fine with it.

Yes, there are other gyms and rsteraunts. But WoT isn’t what Tanki used to be. You guys have got players who loved your product. You changed it. Hundreds, nay, thousands were bothered by changes that were made, but there is no sign that you are listening. I don’t care how many lists you post or times you say the devs are listening, until someone high up gets down into the mud and tells us exactly why MM is better (yes, make that wall of text Cedric) and listens seriously to our views and tries to make a change, why, no one is gonna listen.

And one thing. I find it laughable when people write for their work (Tanki) and have bad grammar. This has happened several times here on Tanki. So please, write with good grammar and look it over at least once, or no one is going to pay attention.

I understand you're not happy with MM. And I understand that there are other people too who don't like it. That doesn't mean it needs to go away. It simply means we need to keep improving it, to get it to a level where players will enjoy it.

There are other games that use MM and it works fine. But MM isn't a cookie-cutter formula. The dynamics change drastically from one game-type to the others, and even between games that are fairly similar.

Please understand that in the past couple of years Tanki has undergone a massive and drastic transformation. The devs have implemented 10 years of updates and features in a short span of 2 years, all while working with code that was designed 10 years ago for what was supposed to be a product demo.

Remember — Tanki was NEVER intended to be a game. It was just a showcase project to help sell the Alternativa3D Flash engine.

And then people started playing it and it just exploded.

Tanki was never intended to be scaleable.

It's like saying, "I'll make a wooden go cart to run around in my garden" and then later think, "Oh, this go cart is really nice. Lemme add some features" and eventually turn it into a car. You're gonna get to a point where you realize you need to rebuild from the ground up because your chassis is a piece of crap.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to justify the shortcomings of MM.

But I do wish you'd take into consideration all of the work that's being put into the game, with the ultimate aim of turning it into something that everyone can enjoy. These things take time, lots of effort, and a TON of money in recruiting, wages, equipment, research and development etc.

I don't think I can make the situation any clearer than this. I hope you can see my point. If you can't, that's unfortunate.

As for 's grammar, please appreciate that she's not a native English speaker, but that her language skills (which are still pretty solid) do not in any way detract from her contributions towards the community.

And it seems like you have the wrong idea that by being a customer, you got to decide how the game should be developed and who is supposed to do what around here. Doesn't work that way - if you buy a yearly subscription to a gym, it's not up to you if the owner decides to change its paint colour, change the layout by moving the equipment around, remove some machines or - gasp - put a completely new music playlist with hits from 70s! Or if you go to the restaurant - it's their decision if they want to change the menu from French to Italian; and you don't get to come to waiters or chef and tell them how to prepare and serve the dishes. You are a customer and you'll be taken care of with politeness and utmost care. If you like the service, great, if not - oh well. There are other gyms and restaurants ;)

Like I said, clearly you have no idea how an organization is run. In my 30+ years of running a business,  I have seen many organizations that do not listen to their customers die a slow death.  You do not believe me, just pickup a copy or Tom Peters book "In Search of Excellence" and see where  some of the companies mentioned as "great"  are and why they no longer exist or are in the brink of extinction.  Companies like Kodak, Kmart, Wang computers, DEC, Data General, and others once they were great and then they stopped listening to their customers. As a customer, i never expect a company to let me decide how it will be run or who will do what.  Far from it!  However, I do expect them to listen when something is not right and then correct it.

It is very arrogant from you and Tanki to ignore the customer's wishes.  We do not try to tell you what game engine to use, how to right code, when to update the game, and other things.  We are telling you that what you have done is not working and you are not listening.  I mentioned the missions and you told me to get a Pro pass if I do not like the missions.  That right there is the wrong answer. You know it that it is unreasonable to have players wait for almost 2 min and then to dump them in to a battle that ends within seconds of entering the game. An on top of it to tell them that the change was made to make the game better!   That is not telling you HOW to develop the game or who will fix it.  All I am pointing out, as a customer, is that your product has a serious flaw and since the majority of your customers are complaining, you should not ignore it. That is just a small sample without going in to lengthy discussion.

You and who ever made the decision to go to the present form of MM are in denial of the fact that MM in its present form is not working and players are complaining. Worse yet, it is the fact that you and the likes of you are trying to defend something that you know is wrong and you doing this by antagonizing the players who post the complaints.

By the way, if a restaurant changed from French to Italian, guess what would happen to the majority of their customers.  They will go to another restaurant and will not go back. So while they have no saying what the menu will be, they will have an impact on the business that could be significant. Because, if me and my friends want to eat French cuisine, certainly will not go to an Italian restaurant!

Perhaps there is a reason why so many long time players said "oh well" and abandoned the game!  Oh sure, you will get some new customers, but if you lose your long time players just think what will happen to your business. I remember times when there were over 60,000+ players online at the same time and during holidays that number was a lot higher. Nowadays, if you get half of that number you are probably ecstatic.

Sorry, I wasn't talking about Ostrica's grammar, just staff in general. Really, she's good, especially for not being a native speaker.

I understand what you are trying to say. Let me use your analogy, however.

If you have a go-cart-trying-to-turn-car and it doesn't work, CHANGE IT BACK TO THE GO CART.

'Nough said.

*Edit: It'll save you some money too...

"I beg to differ." At good restaurants, chefs will prepare meals differently based on what customers want. Or would you not call yourself a good game, just an average one?...

Chefs might change the menu to suit their paying customers. And Tanki does this as well. Changes the game.

In favor of its paying customers.

Of course. Its a business. It has to be careful to not go too far into the favor of buyers, but I dont think that will be an issue.

It's already an issue. I received a very kind offer from a guy named @Tidebreaker to buy a kit for me. Without that kit, I couldn't even compete in battles with my not MUed M1s. Now I'm feeling how hard it is on my alt @HBTY2 after the initial phase where people are absolute complete noobs and you can really kill them with anything. The reason I have an alt is to get to WO1 so I could do parkour, and I was planning on twinking there for awhile on both accounts. It's just impossible to compete against the buyers when you're F2P.

It's not impossible.  Challenging - yes.  Impossible - no.

You need to manage crystals wisely - spend only on sales and have no more than 2 combos - one of which is a medium hull.

Another aspect is how much you play.  If you play a lot after completing missions you may struggle more since your crystal:exp ratio will then drop.

Immediately drop out of battles that are half-over when you arrive - waste of time and supplies.

Same with team battles where it looks like team-members are inactive.  That's a sure sign your team will lose - badly.

It is possible to compete when you are a F2P, many players reach legend with no issue, I am one of them and many other friends of mine. If you understand the mechanics and are skilled, there is no reason to be successful. Buyer buy a fats tracked road. Also in team mode there is buyer on your team and you are a beneficiary from the one that are powerful and skilled. It went better when you save crystals for the sales and key Product kit.

If you didn't started well, you can create an other account (with a better nickname this time) and use all the learning from the mistake you did with your first account.

Yes, but you have to be quite skilled to win against buyers, something I unfortunately am not.

Excuse me? My nickname is extraordinary: Happy Birthday To You. This account was created to surprise someone on their birthday.

That may be true, but IF ANYONE IN THE TANKIVERSE WITH POWER HEARS ME, I AM A PAYING CUSTOMER!

Why aren't they listening to me?

Not really. Just manage your crystals well, do your mission, etc. Basically what wolverine said.

You really arent, since someone got the kit for you, but thats beside the point. They change the game to favor paying customers, but dont pay attention to one person in particular and cater to him- why would they?

You'd think they'd listen to the tons of people, not just me, wanting change. Also, what does it matter if it was my money or someone else's money? It's money from my account.

That simply isnt going to happen. These new features are here to stay, in the name of keeping Tanki modernized and attracting new players. I suggest that you stop arguing and face reality- retro Tanki is old, outdated, uncompetitive, and never coming back.

What features are you off talking about?

Not all new updates can be good, so your talk about modernization is flawed, and in the case of Tanki many new updates are bad.

Want to see reality? Check the stats, Tanki is losing players day after day, that despite Challenges, Gender War and the supposed good updates.

Hiding the truth doesn't help the game. We need to see more complaints so we can see the problems and then maybe fix them.

Lags are bad. Recent changes have messed up ping, frames, and lag. There is too much happening on the screen. It isn't "glitch or bug." It is the game. Recent updates have broken something, and stutter-play is now the norm, where frames drop and ping shoots to maximum.

There is a turning problem. It is getting worse. The lags and stutters are part of the problem, but turning can double or triple, shooting turret or tank into a 90° turn instantly.

As always, MM sucks. Most matches are woefully lopsided. It isn't getting better!

Nope it's not, and the players don't seem to have been pouring in... wonder why?

Of course Tanki is losing players. Its an ancient game, its laggy, and the graphics are nothing to be proud of. It can never truly compete, but it can do pretty well if it stays modernized.

All the lag isnt necessarily Tanki's fault, you know. Some of it probably is, but there could be some on your end as well. I havnt had bad lag for a while now. As for MMS... it needs improvement. Ive played nothing but PRO battles for months, but based off of the complaints and screenshots Ive seen, the devs need to work on it as soon as Overdrives are finished.

How about this. I agree overall that the graphics aren't super good and it's laggy. So they should work on fixing that and stop giving these trash updates. The game was good, the graphics and lag weren't. They had a potentially winning combo because they had a game that people loved,  but they changed the game, which overall added lag.

Apparently you now have to be a minimum of WO1 to report a hack violation. So where is someone of my rank supposed to report a hack violation? I have it recorded and all.

Unfortunately there is indeed a minimum rank of WO1 to sign in to the RU forum, this is done to prevent spam. Not much you can do about it.

Lag used to be wayyy worse, you know. People say reverting the game to its old state would help, but the graphics and lag were terrible back then. The nostalgia might keep some players, but very few people would join the game.

So fix the lag, keep the game. Get players, get rich.
