MM is so stupid omg. Just played a CP battle, we were leading for 5 minutes, then 2 players left our battle, and nobody joined FOR 3 MINUTES. You keep sending me in battles with 2-3 minutes left. And here, you can't send a single fricking player? Yeah, keep working on useless stuff like shot colors. And don't fix your broken pos  MM.

 

It was 8vs2 anyways.

You took all our shot colours away only to lock them behind an RNG wall (yet another thing added to containers).

 

I thought you had removed XT Railgun's white colour and Firebird XT's flame colour temporarily while you fixed issues that resulted from XT items becoming skins. Now I see it was just another cunning (or not cunning, your scheme to wring money out of your customers is hilariously obvious) update to simply fill your pockets with even more money.

 

Players actually paid good money to buy XT items originally, and the special white Railgun effect came as part of the price. It's kinda like when you introduced animated paints like Flow, sold them to players and then threw them in as Star Week rewards a few months later. It's a good thing you didn't take the paint off your original paying customers though.

 

However this is different. It's actually downright wrong.

 

Go and take a look at your rival games, such as the titles produced by Wargaming. Ok, none of them are perfect. But at least they bloody well listen to their playerbase when issues are brought up instead of force-feeding them more useless and expensive cosmetic items!

 

Seriously, this game is garbage. Regret every single £ I've spent on it.

Maybe this has been addressed somewhere in Tanki Wiki or forums, but I couldn't find any info about it.  So please forgive me if this is a duplicate entry.  It will be appreciated if someone knowledgeable can kindly help me understand why some tankers have equipment that is either beyond their ranks nor from a product kit?!  One example is this tanker https://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/HA_KIEB

 

As of 14:30UTC, Nov 5, 2018, the tanker info is:

- Rank: Captain

- Exp: 339 482 / 390 000

- Turrets: Railgun/M2, Shaft/M1, Thuner/M0, Isida/M2, Freeze/M2, Vulcan/M1, Firebird/M1, Smoky/M1, Ricochet/M0
- Hulls: Viking/M1, Wasp/M1, Hunter/M0, Mammoth/M0, Titan/M0, Hornet/M0, Dictator/M0
- Modules: Falcon/M2, Grizzly/M2, Lion/M2, Fox/M2, Dolphin/M1, Eagle/M3, Badger/M2, Ocelot/M2, Wolf/M0, Shark/M2

 

(I have taken snapshots but couldn't post it as JPEG images somehow.)

 

If I understand it correctly, Fox M2 is available at Major and M3 equipment is available at Marshall (if not from a product kit).  So how can this tanker get such equipment?

 

It is my impression that Tanki does not care much about hacking.  As I know, some other online games are strict about hacking to keep the game fair,  I saw instances like this a few times a week and it appear much more during special events.

 

Can someone kindly help me on this?  Thank you very much in advance.

 

PS: Please do not ask me to take videos of these tankers with unusual equipment.  I usually check after the battle since it is too busy in battles to check.  You'd be destroyed several times by tankers like this if you do check during the battle, which is not worth it. Moreover, it is not players' responsibility to get rid of hackers though players can help.

Depends on how old the account is - may have been idle for quite some time.

 

Original paints like...Digital had 35% Rail protection and that was available at 1st Lt (or earlier from kit). When paints were converted to modules the player would have received an M3 module - as 35% is m3.

 

At one point I saw a Captain running around with Prodigi.  Must have been a really old account.

 

Even recently some changes like the variable single-modules might make it seem like someone has item higher than they should.

Before the change one of my accounts was saving for a triple that had m2 Magnum protection. But - change was made and I did not have the rank to buy the single.  If I had bought 2 days earlier I would not have had to rank up.

If you add up the ingame hours of this player's hulls, you get a value of less then 100 hours.

Within 100 hours one is likely to reach 100.000 xp; maybe 200.000 xp with a lots of experience and/or a lot of drugs.

As this account has 300.000 xp +, it must be a very, very old account - far older then the introduction of the rating pages.

 

so most likely this player bought some of the old paint/module combinations which game high protection against some turrets - and you now see, what the conversation due to the module separation update made out of them. Nothing unfair here.

As pointed out well by a couple of players above, the account must be old. I suspect it is a secondary account of a more experienced player.

 

I have five specialized lower-rank accounts besides this one. Four of them I seldom play. (Not enough time.)

You will see I have a 40% protection Eagle (Shaft) module. Under the system (too old to even be mentioned in the Wiki), one bought paints that included a preset combination of protections. I think it was Dirty that had the high Shaft protection. When modules were introduced, separating protections from the paints, they converted what was in garages to the [then] new system. Then they changed to the current system, everything converted again, leaving some low-ranked players with high-rank protections.

 

On my second account (Ricosck), I ended up with all 14 protections, most of them relatively high. So, it was a matter of fortune and how one had bought protections in the old days.

 

Paints and their protection combinations were tiered, with a few becoming available every rank or two. As I recall, Prodigy was the most favored paint among the high ranks, and Digital for Smoky specialists.

 

And, I find, if you inspect the Paint wiki, https://en.tankiwiki.com/Paints, you can see all the legacy protections from before they were separated from the paints.

 

For protections, one can expect slow-developing players who've had the account for more than a couple years or so, to have a few protections that exceed the current module paradigm. They are not cheating or hacking, but slow and lucky.

Your observation is commonly expressed.

 

Tanki cares, but they seem incompetent at stopping hackers. (I've never heard of garage hacks, btw.)

 

Common hacks are "flying" and supper-speed. One of the implemented features of the game is self-destructing if certain game parameters are exceeded that might indicate the player has a fly-hack or speed-hack active. The general result is you self destruct when you find yourself on top of a fast tank going the same direction as you. Your speed plus the tank you are riding exceeds the parameter and you lose a kill and respawn. At least those two hacks aren't common anymore.

 

The hack that seems common is shields or reduced damage effect. If Tanki has any countermeasure, I haven't noticed. Fortunately, I can usually kill enemies. Super-hard to kill tanks are, thankfully, rare.

 

Tanki does effectively punish or ban caught hackers, but you must take video and submit your Youtube link  to the violators page. One can "Vote" players, but I never hear praise for the system, only complaints. Sadly, though, most accounts that implement hacks were stolen or weaseled from unsuspecting players. It hurts a naïve player, and lets the hacker go back to his regular account until he manages to steal another.

 

That is the way I see it after four years of playing.

ok this has to be changed .. and yea I have complained about it before.. it's not right to post in FB and then 24 hours later in News chat line , when you can't win . seen contests over and yet we get these postings in chat line.late..  if posting in FB do it the same time or closer to the start . then we have a chance of entering.. also been having postings in FB 12 to 24 hours later on my FB page . not sure why there not up to date for players when logging on that day. 

 

Just went on FB and its now been posted 15 minutes ago.. announcement close to an hour before the event ??

Why can we not have some good, stable game balance for even a short while?! Magnum was nerfed, great, but now Firebird is the new OP rubbish. How hard is it to resist the urge to change something for the sake of changing it?

Haha they also buffed firebird burning alteration while it was extremely op even before. 190, 180 burning decreasing effect was perfect, and had a cooling mechanics which made sense. Now a mindless m0 can deal same amount of damage within 4 seconds which firebird m2+ with (earlier m2) alt did in 20 seconds. Firebird should really be rollbacked to old fire cooling system. If buffing is really needed maybe increase it from 190 to 300? Make cooling stronger, 15dps. It will be somewhere in between, perfect in my opinion.

Don't know what any of those numbers actually mean but - I'm all for nerfing Fire somewhat as it is currently RIDICULOUS

Fire is strong => people use modules against it => tanki buffs fire

Are they planning to change the update where buildings and certain areas are off limits anytime soon? I've self-destructed in a bunch of weird situations and it's starting to get annoying. One time I was on top of another tank, one other time the jugg's overdrive launched me slightly on top of a wall and I sd. So annoying. I would like this fixed. 


 


*They should just remove this update in general. I've never had these kind of issues before.

Just wait, man. Theyll be there eventually. If they were always available in the garage impatient people wouldnt always buy them in the shop.

How can there be no kits for 4 weeks? It's a whole month with no kits in the garage - How more patient can I be when the issue hasn't been fixed for a month? Please try to see where I'm coming from and read what I TYPE and what I MENTION in my text - Search for keywords, not only about the complain.

I know its annoying, I have spent months waiting for certain kits. But dont ask for it to change, because its supposed to be that way. Buyers can pay to get the kit whenever they want, but if you want it for free you will probably have to wait.

Horrible battles, I don't believe that Groups or friends aren't mixed with random players.

 

I played 4 battles and quited about 6. When the other team gets ahead on the score or starts dominating, players on the other team leave, pause or they do nothing, mults? mission mults? I'd prefer they'd just leave.

 

How do some teams start with tanks paired with Isidas from the beginning if it's all random?

Frankly, Tanki now considers these SDs as features, not bugs. The SD occurs because you exceeded parameters the game systems monitor. The game assumes you cannot exceed those parms unless you are fly-hacked, or speed-hacked, or otherwise exceeding Tanki physics. Of course, being on top of another tank going the same direction can more than double your speed, and you explode as an assumed cheater. Same for Jugger push-back effect; in some circumstances, it will assume you are hacking and blow you up.

 

Embrace the suck, or find another game.

 

You haven't seen this before because you haven't played long yet. Lower equipment is slower, less likely to be considered cheating. The better (faster) your equipment, the more you will see the sucky self-destruct.

Groups are NOT mixed with regular players. They are a battle group and they can start with an isida if they want. So that part is not random.

Then maybe it's friends joining a battle at the same time, if they end up in the same team great, if in opposite teams they can mult a little, I don't know. The thing is that for some reason MM battles are one sided.

I have not played for over 4 months now, since the horrendous matchmaking crap went into effect,  and I decided to comeback and see if things got better. Well, why should I have expected anything else other than sheer incompetence? One can dream, can't he? I am sure that there is an explanation as to why the Average wait time means nothing substantial as it is very rare that I will enter the game in the indicated average time! Which bring me to my main point. How is it possible to get the message that "you have been removed from battle due to inactivity" when I NEVER GOT IN THE BATTLE to begin with? I have been getting that message in my 5 last attempts to enter an Assault battle while I have been waiting for over 50 sec while the Average showed 19 sec!

I guess this must be either a cruel joke or the flawed design of this Matchmaking (yeah I love getting matched against Legends with more powerful weapons than me!) system.  I cannot choose the map I want to play, (sure I love playing the same map over and over again that the system chooses for me!). I cannot choose if I want to play against more powerful opponents and I cannot choose to play with my friends, unless of course I fork out the crystals for the Pro pass, which by the way does not count in completing the missions!  Never mind that the missions now are worthless(yes I love waiting to enter the game for over 3 min only to try to complete a mission that will give me 3 batteries or 20 speedboost if I finish in the 3 top  in 5 battles!  And certainly I love finishing the 10 daily missions to get 2 containers that will give me 125 mines or 125 speed boost or a useless paint that I will never use!

I can live with most of the idiotic designs of this game, but how about at least fixing the problem of timing out without even getting into a battle?
