Mines placed with Saboteur drone are not counted in Special mission "Minefield". All the extra mines placed by the drone should be counted.

LOL to be honest I thought it worked well with Saboteur, but as it doesn't work with saboteur, it's time based 100%...

1000 mines == 500 minutes, 500 minutes ÷ 3 days = 2 hours and 45 minutes per day, assuming that you put the mines simultaneously.

Your turrets are not weak, due to a new update called "Mad Tanks" Hulls health was doubled. The good news for is this update will end soon and everything will be back to normal.

Well, you can only do so much when something is in the test server. You can only take certain scenarios from the test server, but when you put it in the actual game (where there are more people), there are things that the developers did not see from the test server that they see differently on the main servers, so I HIGHLY doubt that they did it on purpose.

I do not get by this statement... I am not trying to get "coy" with you at all. I am just simply stating on what is possibly happening. Making such assumptions like, "The developers made the Hopper Overdrive OP on purpose" or "They are only making the Hopper Overdrive OP just so they can give the power to all of the buyers." is complete and utter nonsense in my opinion. This is definitely not the case. I do agree that you do get an advantage in buying, but saying that the developers did something on purpose to repel other community members is an argument that is null and void.

Floating hulls

Hovering hulls are ok and spices the game graphics. But in my opinion, the Hopper Overdrive should not have such long after burns. Viking's test update was the best as it makes the fast shooting much longer.

I agree. It shouldn't really have any effects what so ever, since the jumping aspect of the overdrive is something in itself that can help you out a lot.

Haha very funny joke. No, I am not a puppet for the developers, I am just simply a helper for the game. As I have said in previous posts, the game is a business, so it is dependent on getting money. If there are not any buyers, then the game would no longer exist. Alternitiva Games needs that money so they can pay the developers, advertise the game, the forum engine(s), the game server, etc. However, like I said above, it is not a logical argument that the developers are making certain updates more favorable to buyers then not. They have to think about the community in a whole (F2P and P2W).

Now to your second question. Yes, Tanki Online was more popular 4-6 years ago then it is now. However, that is due to the nature of the game itself. Tanki Online has been a game for 11 years now. To still have a game running for 11 years with THOUSANDS of players still playing it, is an accomplishment itself. A lot of games do not see the light of day from the very beginning. Nowadays, tank games are not as popular as they once were. This is the main reason why you see the numbers drop. People also get bored of playing the same thing over and over again. People always want to try the latest and greatest that is out right now.

Instead of looking in the past, we should look in the future. Flash will be non-existent at the end of 2020, which in itself provided a lot of obstacles and barriers to overcome for the developers. The simple fact that hover hulls are now just coming out is one of those barriers. They simply could not make them within the Flash version because of all what Flash could allow. Since HTML5 is out and is now a thing, the possibilities of having something awesome and unique are endless. This is why I think Tanki Online is doing well right now.

Never said to discourage other players once.

The devs bring out OP stuff because they no for a fact that it will increase their economy, because players will want it to stay ahead of the game.

Now if you do not believe this is so then you are naive, to the point where no matter how much i explain it, your addled head will not be able to comprehend it.

Are you no what i am saying is the most likely scenario and choose not to believe it, because like so many, you back the devs up no matter what they say.

And if i am way off, why did they leave HORNETS OVERDRIVE so OP for so long, do you by any chance think they just forgot about it.

The devs no exactly what they are doing, bring out OP hull/turret/overdrive and players will want it, and buyers will BUY IT.

And about the FLYING CHEAT, everybody knows it is OP, including the devs, why have they not brought it in line with the rest of the overdrives/hulls, and to reiterate from my earlier post to you, why bring it out in the first place knowing it is OP. And before you prattle on that they had no idea how overpowered it would be.......YES THEY DID.

Like hornets overdrive they knew exactly what they were doing with the FLYING CHEAT.

Just another example of their greed overshadowing everything else.

And as for test servers, even with only say 3v3 with 1 team being the FLYING CHEATS and the other team a mixture of combos, it would be very obvious within minutes how OP this hull is. Yet they still released it regardless.

I'm done explaining to either complete noobs are those unwilling to accept the truth, TO is based on P2W, and as such the devs will continue to bring out OP updates in one form or another to extract as much cash as they can from their p2w players, and tough luck on those players who can't afford to keep up with the minority who revel in the indiscretions of the devs.

@Zackery459

would it be possible to have the statistics of tanki online like knowing how many people play it each week?

it's true that tank games have lost popularity.

tanki online on mobile has a poor rating on the play store (in France) with a rating of 4/5 which keeps going down.

Many opinions denounce the lack of balance between the battles between those who have a drone and those who do not.

the overdrive of the Hopper which allows to easily win in capture flag and rugby thanks to the jump.

the fact that those who play on a computer have a great advantage (more maneuverability) compared to those who play on tel during battles and therefore those who are on tel just die.

the problem of repeating maps.  overall we play in battles on 5 surrounding maps while there are many more.

the fact that we do not gain enough crystal and experience during battles.

and there are still other reviews but these are the main ones.  i don't judge the games.  I'm telling you what the French community is saying about your games.  I do not know the opinion of other countries.

I hope these many reviews give you a hint on how to improve the game. I wish the developers knew about it, but the final decision is up to them.  Thank you for your understanding on behalf of the French community.

Salut, these data are not available. There are known tools that record players attendance, have a look here: Question about the game popularity
Alternatively you can check your rating page and you would see the number of players the number of players that get more xp than you.
If you are interested to meet French players [F] French players or read Tanki related stuff in French: FR Newspaper / Amateur Writing

You are french ?

if you are you can confirm everything that i said in the play store reviews.  I'm not inventing anything.

I'm trying to help tanki online improve.  and I think I'm not the only one thinking that.

@cosmic666

I fully agree with everything you've said, as I'm sure many people would!

I don't think it matters which country you come from, the game is all the same

Tanki has always been about the money and always will be!

No matter what they do, they can't say the number of players havn't dropped right off.. Each and every update, new item they bring out, cost us/ the players money!

I would like to register my formal complaint about the partially dysfunctional state of the profile pages.

I made a longer post with details here.

With only two hours of worktime of a coder, you could not only make profile pages shine, but also have significant positive effects on the game itself. It would probably be the most efficiently invested two hours in the history of your enterprise.

On 11/6/2020 at 12:42 PM, von_Cronberg said:

Apparently the game developers are busy seeking paths to solve issues with the game and give it a good future. However, it is somewhat bizarre how they put tremendous programming effort into ever more disruptive changes to gameplay, but persistently ignore the one most efficient instrument to further that aim that would take less than two hours by one programmer to significantly further their aim: Updating the profile pages.

(1) On the face of it, an obviously not properly working website appalls players and customers. And to a visitor, the profile pages appear not properly working. Right on top of it, the players's tank is displayed, or rather not displayed, in Flash mode, which for these days only gives an error information to internet users. Tanki certainly knows the issue, as the end of Flash has been a main issue of company communication for more than a year. You have the html5 code for displaying current tanks, just copy it.

(2) Also on top of the page, there is (given even twice, to affirm its importance in judging an account) the information of an "efficiency ratio" score and rating for the player. Since the infamous parameter change of September, this efficiency ratio is going down for everyone (except a handful of players who cheat crystals without experience). It is psychologically incredibly dumb to use a ranking formula that makes everybody feel getting worse just by playing. Twist the formula to adapt to the parameter change.

(3) What is lacking on top of the pages is a finishing ratio for the player, which indicates the share of battle assignements that the player completed without leaving the battle prematurely. Giving this kind of information would nudge players to not desert battles they are assigned to, solving the one main issue of Matchmaking battles, namely desertion and the resulting uneven teams. As we all see now during the two weeks experiment, this issue still needs a solution and needs it more urgent than ever.

(4) Then the profile pages link to a separate "achievements" page while in fat numbers giving the overall score of the latter. However, these "achievements" pages are apparently not properly assessing information (for a long time, since the Mk update) and thus giving a faulty score. This issue could be solved in about ten minutes, but to this day, Alternativa rather annoys players and customers than investing these ten minutes in changing the values from the M-system to the Mk-system, and updating battle modes.

(5) In the game modes row, the graphic symbols for SGE mode and TJR mode are not properly displayed. This issue exists since the last game mode change, it looks horribly amateurish and would require only a few letters in the code to properly reference the source to solve. However, it looks like nobody felt that it should be done to this day.

(6) The bottom gifts row by its very existence points every player and customer to the fact that the html5 version of the game still lacks a feature which the dying Flash version of the game was cherished for. Best would be to add this feature including existing gifts into the html5 version, though if Alternativa's programming skills are inadequate to do so, then at least keep up your public image, and do not point people to your nature as a programming failure, by removing that row from profile pages.

Updating the profile pages this way would be the most efficiently spent programmer hours in the history of the enterprise.

Dear mods, there are a number of things I kindly ask you not to do now:

(a) Please do not bury this topic by moving it deep into whatever existing thread. I did check the existing forum topics thoroughly, and I came to the informed decision that in line with both the purpose and the rules of this forum, this new topic is warranted. Please to not override, and let us have a discussion.

(b) You will probably not all be able to withstand the urge to tell me that profile pages were irrelevant and that people who care for them were idiots, as usually at least one of you does under thus complaints. I strongly disagree with this claim in substance, and the persistent mentions of one or more of these points across the forum should give you pause to think about replying to such substantial complaints with insults, as some of you have so often done in the past.

(c) Yes, I did read the argument a thousand times, that the profile pages will eventually be integrated into the html5 version of the game, so there allegedly were no need to update them. However, the consequences of reality are based on the facts of reality and not on fantasy. It is not necessary to once more reply to a substantial complaint about the facts of reality with a fantasy.

(d) Yes, I did read the argument a thousand times, that the coders are so busy improving the game that they just cannot spare the two hours to update the profile pages. I would kindly point out that measuring the efficiency of business decisions is about comparing effort and gain. And it certainly is unimaginable to get so much gain with so few effort as spending two hours with an update of profile pages would achieve. Please spare me the "coders are too busy" story.

don't worry 5-10 years it will be done.  developers are busy creating and not fixing so it takes a bit longer. ??

The hammer XT skin is kinda lame. I have a small suggestion.

XT skins are white-gold style. The upper part of the turret should be white.

Also the barrel needs some rework too.

Sorry von but you are arguing a case about the wrong things in TO.

To be honest who cares about profile pages, it's what goes on in battles that has most of the issues, unbalanced MM battles, FLYING CHEATS to name 2 of many, many more that need fixing before profile pages.

I shake my head in disbelief at some of the posts i read, half of them are complete nonsense, with only a fraction being of any interest that actually depict TO as it really is.

I do not doubt you are a intelligent guy, your post does not warrant a head shake, but i think you could devote a lengthy post like this to actually highlighting the real issues with TO.

Thank you for the compliment. For me, there are two reasons not to make myself busy with talk about "the real issues with TO" right now. The first reason is, I am currently playing the vastly overpowered Hopper-Firebird-Defender combination in flag/ball modes, and I feel no personal grudge. The second reason is that I do not think the two real issues with TO can and will be solved. Let me elaborate:

The basic issue is the dead road development path of the past years, with its ever more accelerating implementation of quick achievements in all dimensions. While this bizarre doubling of health points experiment appears to give a hint that developers have finally realized the problem, I have no hope that a forum post of mine might result in comprehensively and in all dimensions turning the development path of the game into its opposite.

The other issue, which annoys me personally significantly more, is the issue of players deserting their team in battle. I do not see any readiness on the part of developers to implement even the softest nudging techniques to address the issue. And really effective solutions, like investigating the real life identity of habitual deserters and abducting them to face court martial and a firing squad, are not practical and probably grossly illegal even in Russia.

So if I post a complaint here, I make it about something that can easily be done in two hours of coding time and has apparent benefits, with no discernable argument against doing it right now. Like making the profile pages fully functional.

This will never be solved until MatchMaker is overhauled.  Never.

MM is integral to why many players leave battles.

Fix MM and a lot less players will abandon battles.

Well von old buddy i leave battles all the time now, no way i'm staying in a battle any longer than i have to when the game is so unbalanced.

You yourself are using the FLYING CHEAT to benefit (YOU) in battles, so i would hesitate a wild guess that the unbalanced shambles of MM will not affect you as much as others.

No better team player than me, but with all these negative updates that have been brought into TO in the last 12 months alone, there is no way i am going up against players who fly from base to base negating most obstacles in their path and usually cap without even bothering to shoot at the enemy, because their OP hull coupled with their OP overdrive does all the work for them.

No real skill involved in doing this, with the exception of getting used to handling such a OP hull because of it's ridiculous wayward handling, which indirectly makes it very hard to get any significant damage against them, unless you can corner them and kill them before they have an active overdrive, which will undo all your efforts in a nanosecond as they stun you, burn you, and jump into orbit and make their escape with apparent ease, and then carry on towards your base leaving you in a heap of scrap unable to chase them down.

The FLYING CHEAT is just 1 of a long line of unbalanced OP updates the devs have brought into TO. It has taken over the mantle from hornet as being the most OP.

Hornet needed it's overdrive to qualify for being a LEGAL CHEAT. The FLYING CHEAT is OP without it's overdrive, but with it, it outstrips hornet by quite a margin and makes it virtually unplayable when you encounter them in battle.

You carry on with your FLYING CHEAT, i will never use it and prefer hunting them down and killing them as many times as i can.

One last point. How can you blame any player for leaving a battle under the current playing conditions. The devs are to blame for this, and i personally hope more and more players abandon battles that are lost within the first 30 secs/min because of the atrocious unbalanced nature of 75% of battles.
