Storage Boxes

Recommended Posts

I have a very good idea about adding storage boxes to the garage in the HTML5 and Android version of Tanki Online. Storage boxes would be empty boxes where players can store their unneeded supplies and crystals to storage boxes and opened later for needed use. There would be two types of storage boxes.

One would be called "Supply Storage Box" and the other one would be called "Currency Storage Box". The supply storage box would only store supplies, including batteries and repair kits. Any type of supplies would be stored in this storage box. Mines would also be stored here when not needed by the player.

The currency storage box would be the place where players can keep all of their crystals, Tankions, gold boxes and containers into. When such amount of desired crystals, Tankions or gold boxes, and containers are needed, the player can choose how much "virtual currency" to take out of the storage box.

Here are some examples of storage boxes. They would look different in Tanki Online, though:

Do not get confused with gold boxes or containers. The only purpose of storage boxes is to store as many crystals or supplies that the player wishes. This works in a similar way as to a savings bank account. The player can add or withdraw as much supplies and crystals as he want to for free. Storage boxes can only be accessed in the garage. Storage boxes would be a permanent storage facility in player's garages permanently, and only available in the HTML5 or Android versions of the game. This would be a very nice addition to add to Tanki Online's garage system.

How would this even benefit the game in any way let alone the players, there's really no use to these storage boxes since you just store your current items and withdraw it at a later time, which is the same as just having the items and not using it, Regardless of that, why would you even need to store in the first place? I find this to be an idea which is quite insignificant to the current state of the game and don't see any of it being beneficial even later on but would be more practical if there were a system in place where you could transfer in-game goods to other users in form of a gift or something along that line.

Well

1) people dont end up wasting all their money (like i used to on speed ups)

2) you can actually say you have no gold while having it

3) you can make budgets on stuff like crystals and mines in parkour.

I'd like one to store all of my useless paints (ie. most of them) so I don't have to scroll through them to find one I like.

I once suggested the addition of a warehouse back in the day. It was basically the same thing as this idea.

It was declined by @Maf at the time. Not sure what happened to it, probably got removed from the forum.

I just don't get this idea. You already have "storage" of your crystals and TKs in the form of a number on top of the screen. What do you accomplish by then putting part of those currencies in some kind of separate area that's like a savings account?

Savings accounts work by you storing actual money at the bank, and the bank then uses your money to loan it out to other people, and pays you a small amount in return. In Tanki the amount of virtual currency is infinite, so Tanki does not gain anything from you storing your currency in the storage boxes and therefore has no reason to pay you back interest.

The only way I could see this working is if you have boxes in your garage that you can't interact with, and their look just changes based on how many crystals/TKs you own (empty, half-full, full, overflowing). But that's a completely different idea related to the interface and visual effects.

In HTML5 you can "favourite" paints in order to have them listed in a separate tab.

For paints, there is going to be a need for a third storage box. I have not thought about that, but that's a good idea from you.

In the image below, I have 63 Double Damage that I would like to put in a storage box so that I can use them during Special Missions events.

I also have 20 Repair Kits that I would like to store in a storage box.

But this feature isn't aviable in the mobile version.

Well, i understand it. Imagine if i want to use maximum of 500 supplies/piece/month. I can put my supplies to the box exept those 500 from each, and i won't use more, exept of i really need them. Than, i just pick up some more supplies from the box, and ise them.

But then you can just make note of your current supply numbers and don't go below current numbers minus 500. Anyway, devs won't add something to help players spend LESS supplies.

Let me explain further. Storage boxes can be used to store unneeded items like crystals, Tankions and supplies. The use of storage boxes would permit players to store any amount of goods for later use. Instead, of accidentally using supplies or crystals when the players choose not to, they can store it for later in storage boxes to avoid accidental use and also benefit on the units when the desired moment in battle has come. For example, you may choose to save your drone batteries for holidays.

In addition to that, storage boxes would remove the useless use of supply buttons on the Settings menu which I think is disturbing in battles because you need to pause battles halfway though to disable the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 buttons in the Settings menu which is annoying.

I would advise you Thiedes to change the status back to valid because I see some useful potential in this suggestion. If you want, you can fine tune my suggestion by improving it to make it work better. Please understand that storage boxes are not the same as containers. They are simply storage boxes like a wardrobe.

It's not that big of a deal to use a bit more crystals or supplies than you planned to. Tanki won't be adding a whole new feature for that. Just make sure you keep track of how much you want to leave for later, and don't spend more than that. I don't see a situation where you would have to urgently disable your supply buttons in settings halfway through a battle to prevent yourself using them.

Storage boxes would not hurt though. Players could stock crystals and supplies for later. Any amount can be added. I think that storage boxes are valid for the HTML5 version and Android version of Tanki Online. However, I agree that storage boxes would be invalid for Flash because Flash will be discontinued on December 31st 2020.

It's not an awkward idea. It makes sense.

It makes sense to you riddler, on so many levels. You are deff a bona fide one off. please don't let anyone ever change the way you approach the game, your ideas are different and like you are unique.

If you don't like my idea, than that's your opinion. I don't care. Please don't be rude towards me. I deserve respect just as you do.
