I would only complain if I had nothing.

If you were to receive a massive amount of items which you clearly didn't earn, the correct thing to do it to report the issue. Otherwise, you actually risk facing punishment for hiding the fact that you received items that don't "belong" to you. I'm not sure how much this is enforced in Tanki, since it's the administrators' responsibility to issue correct amounts of prizes to players and therefore making such a mistake (which happens extremely rarely, mind you) would result in consequences for the administrator at fault. However, it's possible that the player may also face some penalties for non-disclosure.

This also applies to real life. For example, if you were to receive some valuable items in the mail, with the details clearly stating that it was delivered by mistake and not meant for you, you can be heavily fined or even imprisoned for holding onto those items and not reporting the error to the authorities.

On the other hand, if you act in good will and return the items, there's a chance you may be rewarded for your honesty. Either way it is the right thing to do.

mmmm that reminds me of back when the system glitched and how many players cashed in on rewards for free.. -- this was when you opened up and collected drugs rewards . they were to close after you obtained them but when you changed servers they would pop up new rewards to claim .. this went on for hours .. and how many reported it or even returned the rewards .. not many .. players  got to keep these rewards cause of the glitch .. leaving others - not to be able to obtain them cause they were not on line when it happened..

its the CM responsibility to make sure he / she is giving the rewards to the correct account ..  think about it this way if a cashier gave you back money or an item that did not belong to you .would you be honest and fix there mistakes,, not many would they would walk away and leave the cashier with the mistake . in the mean time the mistake does not come out of the store's pocket , it mainly comes out of the cashier pocket or they could be fired for this mistake if this happened too many a times..

 

also the past Cm stated in posts that once prizes were given there was no way to remove them from your garages.. unless things changed ??

I now understand Maf. The mistake that this player had getting 30,000 containers has been resolved.
