There is a poll in another topic, for which the results are now skewed as a result of badly formatted question from the start regarding the yeard. This poll includes all years from the game's inception till today. Reasons for why a year has been best for you, is entirely up to you, this data might reflect on when a lot of people here actually joined the game.

For me, as I have mentioned before, it was 2011. Garage was much cheaper, and though auto balance wasn't really a thing, if you were doing bad, it was kind of your fault. You could choose and customise matches as you wanted. I would much rather have more customised matches given to me with good rewards, rather than trying to compete in a matchmaking system where I will inevitably lose without paying a fortune. I personally did not play before the year 2011. If Rebalance didn't ruin the end of 2012, I might have put that as my favorite. I might one day try to compile a list of events that happened each year at some point to give an overview to others about the events to give a better idea for each one, mentioning both the good and the bad.

Goods and bads were there in each of those years. Not all were perfect. U get a lot more bads in these years(2018...) but all the same there are goods as well. More crystals, containers, ability to get more supplies are some of em. I voted 2013. But these recent years have not been that bad as so many of the complainers drone on and on. It’s quite fun tbh.

Tanki was awesome before suppliers fix in 2014. Then it was good before missions arrival in 2015. Then it was bearable before 2018 with MM, hull OD's, drones,  kits removal from garage, etc. Now it's plain awful ?.

2015 Was my favorite year of TO, but that might just be because that was the year I played the most ? 

Otherwise 2016 was another good year, 2014 wasn't bad, the most memorable change was the supply cooldowns and all the gold box changes...  

Pre rebalance I find more nostalgic for myself rather than actually good for the game, the re balance was controversial at the time but it really needed to happen, TO is a better game because it did happen IMO.

for me 2010-2012, not just because new updates not just because Pay to Win updates, but because the kind of players.
best players played Tanki in that days, there was a strong clans strong videos, and awesome long articles in forums, now most of the articles is complaints
communication was pretty between players, rarely to find player didn't turn his turret
everyone was excited, in chat every player was chatting at least(even if it with insult)
now Tanki have changed completely the kind of players changed, new updates are getting worse and destroy the game more from before, I've playing Tanki more than 8 years, approx 2012/5
now maybe I face players their ages is lesser  than my history in Tanki and they rekt me every time without any effort or skills in playing
now players been like bots, merely, play without turn the turret and without chatting, I don't see any strategies from him in playing, but stupid obvious exposed strategies

in past I assess the players as their skills and playing, now I just consider them as turning the turret or not.

now with Skins and micro upgrades, it's hardly to know how your enemy strong is he, especially when they deactivate the R and V keys.


Alterations: it ruined the game totally, oh oh Shaft shooting soo fast or Vulcan ignite the tanks Freeze didn't freeze the tanks or Thunder without splash damage?


excuse me, but, with a huge increase of players even in high ranks didn't know how to destroy them selves, Tanki have to introduce a new Auto-selfdestruction update, it's enabled by default, and you have to turn it off from settings, cuz noobs didn't even know to enter the settings, but but be be careful didn't approach near him he will destroy you in seconds.


Ares: ooooh this tank is extremely suitable for noobs, especially with mouse controls you didn't need to turn your turret, this enthusiasts noobs to didn't thinking about z,x,c ever, imagine you just play with WASD and point at your target with mouse and shot, oooh omg that's too ridiculous.


also Drones and OD's like the hunter OD they stopped your tank totally and you can't control, what kind of skills I can do when I'm totally stopped.


turret like Gauss --- guys usually the long-range weapons in the games are hardly to use, and requires a good player to master him, like shaft-railgun-magnum, but in Tanki NO they introduced a new long-range easy to use weapon for from auto hits that will never miss the target even in the hardest situations, and huge splash damage, hybrid turret

as I remember the update I was registered with, there was a purple paint in tanki with 5 crystals, after that they remove it forever
best days of tanki were from 2010-2012
then 2013-2014
aand from 2017+ tanki get destroyed totally it's been unplayable actually

Wrong, it was 2011, though in 2012 it still had no laser scope. I believe the scope was introduced around the year 2013, though would need to research a bit more to confirm, but it was definitely around in 2011. It was in the game when I started to play and was the last weapon to be released before rebalance and it was a long time before Hammer was introduced much later.

I may be biased because 2015 was the year I played the most, but god it was glorious then. Early 2015 at least. I looked forward to the weekend to play Tanki, all week long.
