Gold Boxes should be removed from the game

Gold Boxes only distract players in the game.  They are not worth the effort. Not at least in ranks of colonel and above.  We could have much better team battles w/o gold boxes.

In my opinion gold boxes add something interesting to the game, you never know when it's going to drop and catching a gold box is quite fun! Gold box montages are also very nice to watch sometimes.

Gold boxes are just contradiction to what a team battle is.   Just had a tight battle in CTF, situation was 0 - 0, when member from enemy team dropped a gold box.  We lost 0 - 3.

Well I like goldboxes. Besides, they don’t drop too often. I was in this highways battle and two golds dropped, I got one. The other was near the enemy team base and it was on the floor for about 3 minutes  bfore someone took it l0l.  Most of the players in tht battle might have forgotten about it.

Yes and no. They do distract a few players and provide opportunities for the other players to attack or complete one objective of the game.
They drop in average, one every 3 battles, so that is a rare distraction. Yes GB worth it a low ranks where a 1000 crystals means a lot and at high level they are good to temporarily disrupt the battle and bring a bit of chaos, it is usually the good time to go after the snipers.
IMO GB is part of Tanki, and should not be removed.

Why I disagree? While Gold Boxes are distracting, it gives anyone a chance at a thousand free crystals. Gold Boxes are also rare enough.

Such thing as a "team battle" is practically non-existent in MM. In PRO you can disable golds. Case closed

in past at gold with his rarity, it had a value. now the gold been diffuse significantly and it been very common so the gold didn't have the same value like what he was

perhaps if they dropped randomly at the current drop rate, but you cannot drop them in mm battles? then again who gives a damn about matchmaking

Fully agree. Get rid of those things. Just left a battle where one person was dropping several golds. Everybody is running around to the dropzones, and completely forget the battle. Have fun all, I just leave such a battle immediately. It's just 1k crystals, who cares? Even worse when a container is dropping . When I see one of those, I just ignore it. Don't even bother to try to catch it.

If “everyone” is running for the gold as you say so, then why not go to the enemy base and steal the flags? Or score goals maybe. Would be so easy if “everyone” is distracted.

Gold boxes don't drop often enough that they noticeably ruin any gameplay. Plus, golds are a big aspect of the game for YouTubers who spend a long time making gold box montages for their channel content. They are also useful for lower ranked players who need those few extra crystals to upgrade their garage.

I think they had more of a place before matchmaking, when battles could actually be made for varying lengths of time on bigger and more interesting maps. Gold Boxes used to be a special thing, once every day for most of us. Now? A bunch of people scramble for pocket change that I dropped specifically to group them all together isn't all that special anymore. So just a little tip, when people drop golds while their team is losing it isn't out of charity. It's for a distraction, or them literally throwing money into a crowd to keep them busy.

Who cares about youtubers? Regarding lowrankers - you know very well that players who get golds are not in fact novices. Meaning they have enough crys anyway. So my friend that's BS.

TO does care about them, as Youtubers help to get new players, they are like free advertisers.

Catching GB is a skill so experienced players are more likely to gab them, true, but there is a part of luck and it is good practice to get better.

GB are bonuses for the grab. Come on, who has enough crystals? Are you joking?

I have a good idea to remove the distraction, I  just catch the gold, and the game can resume.

I don't think that's the sole problem. For example stars are a big problem that encourages getting as much points as possible regardless on how your team is doing and what the objective is.

yeap, stars is for every battles and from the moment you start the game, while GB is around one every 3 battles for a short moment. Player are not gonna leave the battle if they miss the Gb or catch it. while they will leave if they see that they won't get stars.
