It is the same scenario that happened to the Latin servers....not enough player base.  Both these communities were doing very well before MM, then the more time consuming missions, ODs, drones, alts...you know, all the trash that has ruined Tanki on EU servers.   The worrisome part is now the EU servers are getting players numbers similar to what killed the Latin community and is now killing the Chinese community.

And because of Mainland China's policy (the server is sitting in Shanghai), it is impossible to get merged with the EU community/server.

I hope that this new website will be an official site that will remain in Tanki Online forever. I hope that the interface of this new website works perfectly as all players are asking for. I don't want any problems or missing features or buttons on this new website. Tanki Online must make a good job with the creation of this new website.

The background color should be dark with a static tank background. Green buttons would look best and buttons would look best if displayed horizontally like with the old website.

but, actually, I prefer the old design, I didn't like the new clean design in most websites like youtube instagram twitter google etc..
in past 
in past websites design were in more mess, true it was old, but now every website design been similar, Flat, and depend in two colors (blue mostly), look at different between instagram logo

actually Tanki is a war game, and IMO it shouldn't be like most websites as a flat design, it should be more crowded with things and stuffs like in flash version.

I think they needed a new look. It was the perfect time to change the website because they're going to advertise the game again soon and this new look will probably appeal to new players.

I hope they will somehow get more players, that may bring back enough revenue that they are able to stop pumping out updates that appeal only to buyers. The right thing to do is only sell cosmetic changes for equipment, not actual gameplay upgrades (emp gauss, rubberized rounds). Crystals are ok too, because they still can only buy things available at your rank. I'd really love to be able to go back to the days before drones and the stupid ultra containers so that I could actually be on equal footing again with every player.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if the main reason they currently feed the buyers so much is because without them the game would be finished. The overall player count has declined enough to a point where if the buyers weren't able to have a significant advantage over the average-joe, they would probably leave, and without them Alternativa wouldn't be able to keep the lights on. The only way better days for Tanki will be ahead is if they are able to get out of this death spiral they are currently in...

Don't worry. The new website, updates and later on, advertising will make Tanki Online more popular and it will grow. More players will join the game.

I fear that it may be too late. All these updates have made the game too unbalanced. You cannot reverse everything unless you take everything away from players. The buyers will eventually fade away. Same with all the current players. We'll all leave some day. But what won't leave the game? The P2W aspects. They'll never go. New players will realise that you have to buy to actually have fun and when they do, they'll probably leave. I'm not sure if advertising will save the game. I hope it does and I hope the new players change this game in dramatic ways but I'm not sure if everything will go to plan.

Once again more bling instead of substance, and not much bling at that. What a crappy website. Really, that was the best that could have been done on such a super secret project?  I've seen better websites produced by high school students or even middle school students for that matter. Though I have to admit that there isn't much left to promote from the game.

I can hear Pony Tail Boy right now in the meeting that they had on this.:  " Well guys we're still losing players even though we've been putting out crappy updates and the HTML5 version is as buggy as a hot day in the swamp, so lets update the web site. Yeah that'll attract more players!......"  Give me a break. Sorry Houston we have another failed attempt to improve the game. Oh yeah, sorry, that wasn't done to improve the game. They had a failure to improve the website. They can't even do that right! LOL

Peak players hardly breaks 11,000 now and keeps going down. You can see the decline even in the v-logs. There the quality has taken a noticeable dip lately.  Budgets must be tightening up with the further loss of players.

My advice is :  Play while you can (Though I don't know why you would want to).  I think they'll be closing up shop in the near future because that website definitely won't attract any new players.

I have Autoplay off by default on my browser, and that way the new design looks too bland.

Then when I turned Autoplay on, well, all the video imagery is annoying.

Now Autoplay is off again.

I use Firefox, I don't know about other browsers.

In Firefox you'll see this icon...

You click there to turn it off, or on.

If you don't see that icon, you can click on the padlock.
