It's a cool idea and they have tried it.  Unfortunately, they can't sell their loot boxes in this way.

Anything that is cosmetics given freely to player (or upon playing) is less income for tanki and more P2W feature added to compensate. On one hand it is a good incentive for players to play more (increase of F2P players), and on the other hand a risk to get more P2W feature (decrease of F2P players). 
If Alternativa tried it in Tanki X, then they would have good experience on its advantage and drawback.

Good idea.
I bought it up and upgraded it up to Mk3 because it is very cheap at these levels so I can play with it in private battle and parkour to get use to it. I will upgrade it to higher modification when 50% discount available.

One more suggestion: make enemy Ares's orb looks different from that of ally's Ares's orb (e.g. give it a red tint). Currently, it is impossible to differentiate the two which me and my team mates have no idea whether that floating orb will heal us or kill us.

 

I have seen countless time my team mates running away from my orb despite I was trying to heal them

Another thing is: Can we increase the power of Ares? Even a Hunter can win me in a push fight (we were catching gold). For the love of god, I'm a heavy hull, I'm supposed to be the one who push people around...

Ares is faster than Titan.  Trade-off is less power.  Needs to have drawbacks.

Even less than Hunter? That doesn't sound right. Given that Ares is in fact the thickest heavy hull (approaching to the size of Juggernaut) and it's speed is no where near a medium hull.

But my Hunter has tracks and your Ares is a fat floaty thing with lots of hit points, so off the edge of the map you go

Yeah, zero traction, as should be expected for something floating. Though should have lateral stabilizers, so getting a good box is possible.

Dictator

Titan

Hunter

Ares

If dictator can push titan I see no reason why hunter can't push Ares - has 33% more health but is floating.

Changing a stat of a hull just for gold-catching purposes makes no sense to me.

Moral of the story is - you want Golds use a different hull.  Or use your Ares OD on those waiting to catch.

Jokes aside, there might be an argument for giving Ares more speed because any benefits of hovering aren't worth the loss in pushing power

But my biggest disappointment with Ares is the lack of extra keys that allow you to use its full movement potential, need six keys for controlling the hull instead of four

Can't see giving it more speed as it still has 4000 max health - 33% more than dictator.

It's basically a novelty item added to the game to generate income.  Players are paying as much for it's different mechanics as they are for it's performance.

Ares could be considered the striker of hulls.

The pushing power is a real drawback, IMO making it faster cannot really compensate for that. There is room though if you follow tanki logic when it comes to the Hull portfolio on speed:

Hull Mk7+ Speed m/s
Wasp 12.0
Hornet 11.5
- 11.0
- 10.5
- 10.0
Viking 9.5
Hunter 9.0
Dictator 8.5
- 8.0
- 7.5
Ares *new* 7.0
Titan 6.5
Mammoth 6.0

Increasing speed ok, but then it separates itself from the Heavy hull DNA (including the Health level), while power varies from one hull to another in the same category. If you increase it to far then it becomes a medium hull or even a light hull depending on how much speed will satisfy you. Then I would agree that the health should also drop.
I would use the Overdrive kind of make my way through enemy line. 

Regarding the number of key, not sure to understand you. Do you want to have 6 keys for the hull plus the 2/3 key for turning the turret? That means good finger coordination control.

I play with low definition, so everything is low definition to my eyes ? (and I am not the only one).
Therefore all the expensive and shiny skins look tatty.

I think it shouldn't have to accelerate at all to reach it's top speed, sorta like a UFO. It moves fast and good when you build up speed but changing direction/aiming is tricky because it almost entirely cancels your momentum out.

By the way, I can see that many players like Ares and they are getting used to it in battles.

Well tankers day is only a month away and the sales are 50%.
