@At_Shin

It really makes me thrustrated when players like you complain about Ares being overpowered. No its not. You must accept that Ares's BFG plasma ball overdrive must have a strong explosion effect so that it can destroy enemies, otherwise the overdrive would become useless and ineffective.

You folks must understand that Ares was released with 100% perfect balance. That concludes the hull itself, its BFG overdrive and the explosions from the plasma ball.

Nether you, nor me, nor any other normal player can be completely sure about this. Not even developers know at the moment. In order to see where Ares stands in terms of balance, a significant amount of data needs to be gathered over a long period of time, in order to see how well players use it once they get accustomed to its controls and gameplay.

So far I would agree that it's quite balanced, but time will tell.

Can someone explain this. Why does any other hulls on my team have blue lines?

Blue-lines.png

This bug happens in all game modes, with all hulls, including Ares. This bug was there long before the release of Ares.

It's not a bug. It's an indicator that shows the tanks being in range of drone activation. For example, if you have Mechanic equipped, nearby allies will have blue lines like this connecting to your tank. This means that when you activate Repair Kit, all tanks with blue lines will also get the effect of your drone.

In this case the Titan player has Mechanic, so you can stay "connected" to him if you want to make sure his drone benefits you when he uses it.

This also works with Dictator overdrive and a couple other drones (Trickster and Supplier, I think).

You are connected to the Titan, which has a drone equipped (Trickster, I believe).

EDIT: The drone is Mechanic. See Maf's post below.

Well at least you left me a chance to correct you, because that drone is definitely Mechanic ?

Ah, I was wondering about that from the start.

I thought it was just some strange bug or something, but since it wasn't really affecting my in game performance, I thought nothing else of it, which was why I didn't bother asking.

Well, now I know it can be a useful feature. Thanx for the info.

If the stats are from a table it's most probably cuz hornet is the most used hull, even more so these days given it's op overdrive. On the contrary I do quite well with it even in mm ). It has the same health as hornet in mk7 and 8 and along with the extra speed I'd say wasp is better. But ofc that's my opinion : )

No, I said efficiency. Doesn't matter how many players use it when we are looking at efficiency. Good job with your Wasp. I have read probably the whole wiki by now. They both have 2,000 HP and Wasp has .5 speed units more. Hornet is more stable, Wasp turns way better. The massive efficiency difference is probably because of Hornet OD...

Ummm... can we have this for Hunter OD?  Can't stand having to guess between distance and then trying to activate with that stupid 1.1 second delay.  OR... just get rid of that delay.

Thanks in advance.

I agree. Would be useful for both parties (Hunter and enemies)

Please can you add Ares to the Test Servers so that players can use and test it there.

Test servers are a developers' tool for testing updates. They will only be opened when testing of a new update is required. Ares testing has finished, so making it available on test servers is no longer necessary.
