How you figure?  Someone on your team needs to come last, even if they had a good battle.

Position in results only tells part of the story.

I think this guy is terribly misunderstood when it comes to defining a "beat up". It's not so much the placement on the scoreboard, but how bloody easy it is to get spawnlocked in Legend MMS battles thanks to *certain* drones and ODs.

Coming last in a battle tells me 3 things, your either totally useless, a mult, are up against players way above your rank. I don't think i have ever criticised anyone for being last in a battle, unless they are deliberately working against the rest of the team. If you have tried your best and came in last then fair enough, but i was referring to myself mostly about coming in last  If i come last even against legends then i'm gutted and put it down to a combination of me playing really badly and being outgunned, usually by MURDER HORNETS.

You say two things and then flip it around.

In an all-Legend battle someone still needs to come last.  How do you figure that person is useless or a mult?

Maybe the CTF battle ended 1-0 and that last-place person made 6 attempts to steal the flag and was successful 1x - giving a score of... 70?  is that person useless, even though the battle could not have been won without their actions?

You discount what players goals are for the battle.  Some players have missions to complete and that has nothing to do with battle score.  Unless you ONLY play TDM, battles-core is not the be-all and end-all of the game.

You place way, way too much weight on scoring.  Sounds like stars and challenges are the only thing important to you the way you critic and post.

It almost never works that way in a regular tanki battle, true in a official tanki tournament or clan battle scores mean nothing. However, in a normal battle usually the one that comes in last is a noob. As there is limited team work in a regular tanki battle.

WOW.  You guys are unbelievable.

There's all sorts of factors but you seem to ignore all of them but one - final score....

Have fun with your Challenges and Stars.  ?

This. If someone joins a battle with only one minute left, and gets three kills and no deaths, that's a pretty competent player, and definitely not useless, multing, or outmatched. The team member who places second to last could have 2 kills, a handful of assists, and 15 deaths. THAT person would be useless, a mult, or outmatched. cosmic666 won't like me saying this, but yesterday there was a Vulcan/Hornet who had 5 points, 0 kills, and 7 deaths when he left the battle early.

I saw something like this except it may have been with a hornet gauss. I was glad to see it. Normally I won't play tdm unless I am willing to use my supplies on holding a good K/D. I don't often use a super strong combo (it is upgraded just not meta), so that sometimes hurts my cause. For example, stock smoky has a lot of battles where it either does extremely well or horrible with hornet. Generally bad in tdm. Great in cp. Hammer is best suited imo for tdm because of hornet's speed and od. Mine is also essentially max (mk7-17). With slugger it gets consistent numbers, so consistent kills and doesn't leave you reloading to get killed by an enemy you couldn't hit. Slugger is a direct upgrade essentially.

I dont give a hoot about stars, if i get 6 it's because i always aim for top spot. And again my score reflects the way i play. i am the type of player who just has to win regardless, that's my nature, and because of this i usually place high after the battle. I'm afraid you are misinterpreting what i am trying to get across. And like i said i never call anyone for coming last in battle, as there are a lot of factors for doing so. I gave my reasons for players coming in last and they hold true in a lot of battles. And as for a player taking six attempts to get the enemy flag, i would be the first to back them up to try and bring the flag back for the cap. I've been playing for a long time like yourself and i no when a player is trying, multing, are is just plain useless. There are 3 other factors that determine how well a player does, p2w players, players who rank way too quickly to maintain their garage through the ranks, and the MM system which we both no is unbalanced and puts players in battles way above their station. And as for the challenge take a look at my accounts that i play, neither one has reached tier 20 because i really don't care about the challenge or stars. I play when i feel like playing, and the challenge has no bearing on how i play in every battle i go into. As for tdm mode i hate it, but i no what you are trying to say, that mabey someone like me just goes into ctf for kills, not my way, yes i do get quite a lot of kills but i am always focused on defending our flag and ready to help those that go for the enemy flag. I have one big advantage over most players, i'm patient, i will not, ever use an account that is not ready for the ranks it will go up against. I have a field marshal account, flipstiks, as far as i'm concerned even though it's all MK7 protections they are only in the low to mid 40s, at the ranks i will be playing which would be legend no doubt for the most part , forget it, i am not canon fodder for those MURDER HORNETS which we both no are abundant in numbers at legend ranked battles. One last thing, i post what i see in battles and what i no to be true about TO from years of playing, and through all of the updates that have happened through those years. I might come across as a holier than thou player but i'm really not like that. I say what i see on a daily basis in TO, and if players don't like are can't understand what i am trying to get across when i post about whatever it may be on whatever topic then really,THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM. I'm honest and genuine both in what i post and in battle.

It's not just about the place or score. I was in a silence match yesterday and was with freeze wasp. I was almost at last place and my score was hOrrIbLe but it didn't show that I was the guy who capped two out of three flags(second one I brought halfway).

Exactly.  Place in standings is not necssarily reflective of the contribution to the Battle.

There's lots of campers that rack up a huge score and may or may not have an impact on the game.

Example of the player trying to cap on highways... long way to get there - often killed by defenders - if actually gets the flag it's a long road back.  Instead of killing tanks from safety every 30-40 seconds this flag runner spends a lot of time... running.  The thing is - in TO - capping a flag gives the exact same score regardless of the map you are on.  Sandbox gives same reward that Highways does.
