Hello eSports fans,

Welcome to our match review about the famous teams Destroying Angels owned by Pythor the Flame team owned by Juicyyy. The match will start in Bridges; the participants are ready to discuss their tactics in the call, which will hopefully lead them to the victory. Let's wish them the best of luck!

Here are the team rosters:

Flame:

Juicyyy - @Juicyyy

Simplistic - @Simplistic

Chry - @Chry

A-T-O-M-I-X - @A-T-O-M-I-X

tweek - @Tweek

Oly - @Oly

NoHope - @NoHope

Destroying Angels:

Royalty - @Royalty

Judas - @Judas

D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S - @D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S

l.Mystify.l  - @I.Mystify.I

Awesometyler100 - @AwesomeTyler100

Gory - @Gory

Roseblade - @RoseBlade

Round 1

At 10:10, everyone pressed the self-destruction button and the match started with an attack from Flame on the left bridge with A-T-O-M-I-X, Simplistic, and Tweek, but these attacks are stopped by judas, who is using gauss and hornet. On DestA's side, Awesometyler100 and D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S are close to the red flag and are ready to take it, but juicyyy saw and understood their tactic and defended as much as he could, which cost D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S who was destroyed. Back on the DestA side's, Chry started to make an attack followed by oly that is using isida and wasp and healing chry that is with full supplies. He finally manages to get the flag followed by oly but sadly he flipped when he was going on a ramp which allowed Gory to return the flag and to try to play more safety. Flame is attacking with 5 of his members on the right bridge while Awesometyler100 is trying to take the flag and royalty is managing to defend the right side, otherwise, it would permit the team to get the flag and capture one flag already. A-T-O-M-I-X, Simplistic, and oly are getting the blue flag while oly is healing Simplistic that has full supplies and finally capture the flag while he was very close to kes it, he dies because of I.Mystify.I and D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S. This now ma 1-0 for Flame with 07:45 minutes left, directly when the flag has been captured, A-T-O-M-I-X took the blue flag again and is trying to manage to capture it again with 07:15 minutes left. It was basically a mistake to not defend the flag at least from DestA the second time from A-T-O-M-I-X attack, this just gave him 30 seconds to capture the second flag. One minute later, at 06:24, Awesometyler didn't survive to Simplistic's attack with full supplies and chry supported by oly, which permit simplistic to take again the flag with 05:55 minutes left of the match. This now makes it 3-0 for. On Destroying Angels' side, Awesometyler100 and D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S are managing to attack and get the red flag but oly and simplistic defended the flag. With 03:35 minutes left before the end of the match, it seems like Destroying Angels is now focusing on defense. The match ends with a flag that is captured with a few seconds left before the end of the match by chry. The match ends with a 4-0 score for Flame. Both teams played well, but Destroying Angels should focus on his organized attack even if the defense is good. For Flame, the problem was that they are taking many risks, for this time these risks paid but this doesn't always happen.

Round 2

The second match is starting with a switch for both teams, tweek has been replaced by NoHope for Flame and Judas has been replaced by Roseblade for Destroying Angels. When the match is starting, it seems like Destroying Angels' tactic has changed and they seem to be focusing more on its defense after watching the dangerous attacks Flame had in Round 1. With 07:25 minutes left until the end of the match, Chry is taking the red flag with full supplies, and this starts with a 1-0 lead for Flame with around 7 minutes left. D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S, Gory, and Awesometyler100 are managing to attack Flame side and Gory is getting the blue flag while chry took again the red flag in his side. One risky moment during this time was I.Mystify.I was about to carry the enemy flag but he accidentally flipped and an enemy was about to return it before some DestA members killed him. This duel ends with a loss of the blue flag and another point for the Flame team which is leading with 2-0 with 05:20 minutes left.04:10 minutes later, another flag has been captured by chry after a risky way. The match ends with a 3-0 for Flame that played a bit riskier than last time since DestA  even managed to get some flags but Destroying Angels played well too even if maybe controlling the drops would be a real improvement for the team in order to be way stronger in this way.

Round 3

It seems like it wasn't enough for DestA to improve their defense during the second match. They made a few adjustments and put Royalty close to the flag in order to prevent attacks. With 6 minutes left, NoHope manages to get the flag and this finally ends with a capture of the flag made by chry with full supplies. Awesometyler100 starts getting the flag with 06:20 minutes left before giving it to I.Mystify.I and he manages to capture it which now makes it tied 1-1. Right after that Chry manages to get the blue flag again, but is half flipped when D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S sadly made a mistake by jumping off the bridge; he unflipped Chry, who easily killed him right after, which was a mistake from DestA. Right after that, chry captured the flag, which now gives  Flame the lead, 2-1. With 02:00 minutes left as well, NoHope managed to capture the flag; the score is now 3-1 for Flame. Destroying Angels team is now defending as much as they can but sadly this is not enough to block Flame's defense because another point has been made with 35 seconds left. The final score is 4-1 in favor of Flame.

Team analysis:

Both teams played very well, but in the eSports world, there's always a team stronger than another. However, this doesn't mean that the team that has lost is bad. DestA played well, but what should be improved would be to have a better defense and better coordination in order to play more safely and manage to capture flags as they did during the third round. Also, we can even see that this team just improved itself by making better scores than any other rounds; this way, it will make Destroying Angels improve soon. Flame team played perfectly and dangerously and have put much pressure on their opponents, who paid for this match. However, they should just try to not be too confident because sometimes this can lead to a loss.

That was a match review of a match between DestA owned by pythor2000 and Flame owned by juicyyy commented by @sotnikovvanya and @Sanche_z who both commentated very well this match. The video of the match can be found here:

That's it for today; I hope you enjoyed this article.

Approved.

Great match review; I felt like I was really there at the scene watching the game. There's a lot of description, especially noting key plays from the players, and insight at the end, which I feel is key to making a match review pop. However, there were some minor grammar and conventions issues that plagued the article a bit, making it a little bit hard to read. I'll explain a few major issues below. Other than that, it's great to see you writing eSports. I hope you'll join our eSports Reporters team soon!

Edits:

Spoiler
  • Added space after punctuation.
  • Removed "the" and "team" modifiers from Flame and DestA. Here, just use team names. e.g. "Flame captured the flag. It is now 1-0 for Flame."
  • Other minor edits. I believe I changed "gives 1-0" to "makes it 1-0" to make it correct, as well as a few idiomatic complements (glad I had my textbook around) like "On DestA's side" instead of "In DestA's side". Those are just tendencies in the language and it may be difficult to understand which fits which, but keep practicing with articles and you'll be able to succeed.

That's probably all I have, but maybe fellow reporter @Mr.Nibbles can also lend some insight as well. Also, check out my most recent match review if you want some extra tips.

I've never really read an eSports match review before (sorry Random, xD), but this was pretty good! I guess the tough names of the team players made the article a little difficult to read.

Otherwise, it was quite descriptive! I also liked the way you kept analysing decisions taken by the teams even within the main text. The Analysis at the end was a nice summary of decisions and gameplay of the teams.

Great work Sabry!

And good luck for your application, if you've applied for eSports Reporter!
