Changed XT skins are not allowed to Skins are not allowed. Valid entries before this edit will be accepted, entries beyond this point that use a skin will not be accepted.

Well, parkour is the only reason such augment exists. If even the official parkour event disallow it, then what's the purpose of its existence?

Obviously, they didn't reply you. They simply don't know the answer. Helpers are simply ordinary players with (too) many time to spend and decided to kill even more time in this game.

i'm not an organizer but those questions are pretty simple to answer, so here you go; 

 

what's the point of making a contest that everybody will pass with no further efforce? if everybody use lightweight it will be very easy and the contest will lose the difficulty.

also, you can use those alterations in normal battles too. And other contests such as Masters of Parkour (that requieres skills and creativity), but not in this, here you have to use your mind!

I am fairly skilled at Ricochet with Plasma Torch parkour with Mk1 Wasp (I can control myself in the air pretty well, which is hard to do on Wasp Mk1). When Lightweight Augments were released, and I got my hands on this Augment for Hornet, I became significantly better at this type of parkour in a blink of an eye, as Hornet is much easier to control while flying in the air. The Organizers didn't make these Augments available for use because they are also aware that Hornet (as well as other hulls with Lightweight equipped) are easier to control in the air than Wasp Mk1 is.

Now, you might then say "well, Plasma Torch isn't allowed, so how does it matter then?" Again, regardless of whether you are parkouring with Ricochet or not, Lightweight of any hull is easy to control while flying (even Lightweight for Wasp is easier than Wasp Mk1, as Wasp Mk7 has a good amount of speed that helps maneuver it better).

 

And lastly, applying your same logic, why isn't Space Mode allowed for some tricks? It is only intended for parkour after all, right? Both examples fall in the same category of making the tricks in this contest much easier, which is why they're not allowed.

First of all -  The augment was not created for Parkour, nowhere was it mentioned that it was made for parkour. YOUR perception of the augment is, that it's meant only for parkour. When it's clearly not. Secondly, the reason is pretty obvious.. The lighter your hull, the easier the flight, so basically this augment defeats the purpose of the whole word "challenge".

We do know the answer, after all, we are the organizers of this contest. We do not make decisions because we feel like it, there is a reason behind anything.

We can't force players to use specific modifications of a turret/hull, it's up to them if they want to upgrade something from MK1 to MK7, while Lightweight Construction it's a removable item.

Its a huge challenge but also we  admit that jumpers with mk1 wasp have an advantge in this contest but still ,  landing in that small spot is almost impossible it takes a lot of time and luck.
