Petition to keep flash player !!!

Recommended Posts

Hello dear tankers,

I am tankionline veteran player since 2009, I changed so many accounts for random tanks I don't even remember some of them, in real life I am computer hardware engineer I can say that most of computers were capable to play tanki the flash version, which is the reason why game was so popular, so kids from the poor families could play!!! I personally have built bunch of computers from defective extra parts and donated tham. for exemple used HDD with health of 75% old 775 soket motherboard with gt210 which was really scrap and donated to family with 6 children and you know what we got??? 6 new gamers in our tanki army, so now we have html 5 version which needs the better computer that families can't afford and their computers will not handle it, so we will lose 6 great players... and they are not only family.

So players why read this please sign the petition to keep flash tanki:     #voteFLASHTANKI

VOTE so tanki can survive!

Well, this is not about tanki, flash will be discontinued by adobe itself, tanki can choose from any options. They can't do anything.

The decision to stop supporting Flash was made by Adobe - the company that developed Flash in the first place. All browsers followed through by blocking Flash elements in websites, which includes games like Tanki. It was not the developers' decision to make the change, and continuing to maintain the Flash version is extremely unprofitable if not completely impossible.

No amount of protesting or petitions will change this. I'm afraid the only choices are to adapt or move on.

With you all the way on this one, but unfortunately flash is getting phased out. Now if html5 was as playable as flash, i and hundreds of other players wouldn't mind the switch, but it's not. To many gimmicks obstructing your view of the battle, add to that they still have not sorted out the self destruct fiasco, the OP hornet, the huge imbalance in ranks in MM and you have a replacement that is nowhere near ready, and therefore can't possibly be compared to flash in a superior way.  @TSAR_SS  the devs don't care about players with old comps, it's all about the cash.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the issues you just mentioned are present in all versions of the game, not only HTML (maybe the auto-SD). I agree that gameplay on the HTML-version is different from Flash and it's understandable that people dislike this new version, but you are basically calling out irrelevant arguments that have little to do with the HTML-version itself

True enough, apart from the gimmicks, the self destruct, and the fact flash is still way better for actually playing in battles (much easier on the eye.) Html5 is meant to be a superior version to flash, it is not, and that is a fact proven by all the various complaints it is getting. If your going to replace something then make sure it's up to the task of actually replacing it before you implement it. I would have thought that was common sense, even to the most average of intelligent life forms.

The thing is they’re out of time. Flash is going out and they have to keep the game going somehow. It’s clear from things like the multiple delays of the launch of Ares that it takes a very, very long time for the devs to develop completely new features at the moment. That’s why the improving of the HTML5 version has been so slow. For various reasons they just don’t have the manpower. Yet they simply have no other choice than to go with it.

The devs have been promising for a long time now that once Flash is fully phased out they’ll be able to develop HTML5 quicker. Time will tell if that’s true, but one can always hope.

Ja, ja. Move on. Find a better game where devs care about players.

so now we have html 5 version which needs the better computer that families can't afford

These families are quite unlikely to buy paid content. Hence devs are unlikely to care.

In that case, why didn't they immediately cut all ties from flash when HTML version was first released about a full year ago now?

I think because the new HTML5 version was not a stable/ready when they released it, and it'ss still not in the opinions of many, but is much better in terms of performance to when it was released.

If you can't afford a PC that can play the HTML5 version smoothly, then you're not at all a potential buyer. Someone who can't afford a such a PC definitely doesn't have money to buy in-game items. So, Alternativa just doesn't care about such players. Over the past several months, Alternativa was trying very hard to make as much as money from the game and they're pushing the P2W concept very hard. This has now become a game that you can't enjoy if you don't spend hundreds of dollars here every 2 or 3 months. Non-buyers & light-buyers can barely compete against heavy-buyers. There's no quality stuff in Tanki anymore, just a sinkhole that eats money...!

about first sentence, No.

they didn't try to do like this, why?? because if they lose a hard number of non-buyers and some of buyers (with weak PCs) players base, the game will be in a lack of players, above of the lack of players now in MM and pro-battles, so you will hardly find a game to play, so the number of remaining players will leave so, players left buyers left the game the game will not make money the buyers will not play the buyers will not buying the non-buyers will not playing oh oh

Yes, that's exactly what's happening now

Alright, let's petition to a multi-billion dollar company to keep a software that was already outdated years ago (2017, I'd say)...

Yeah, we definitely have a shot at keeping Flash around!

As you've probably seen above, it's not up to tanki whether they want to keep flash or not. The replacement for flash is the HTML5 version, you can help improving it by leaving your suggestions in here, or report bugs you find in this thread.
