Has anyone got any stats on the new hull? Nothing in Wiki nor in Tanki Online pages.

Everything will be added to the wiki shortly.

Yeah, some of the prices baffle me

I could buy the premium version of MS Flight Sim. 2020 for €130, and I'm never going to spend more than €60 / year on an online game (on TO it's spread over four accounts, have spent money to get extra containers during Wars in the past because it was good value)

I'm glad some people are spending crazy amounts of money and keeping TO afloat because I can't

I don't I think disagree with him much about tanks, even though a lot of the hull & turret combinations in TO aren't tanks in the type-of-ACV/AFV sense

And it's not really about tracks; if the technology existed to make main battle tanks / MBTs hover, there would be hovering tanks

But none of this is really relevant to TO, so for Magnum the controversy is about indirect fire turrets instead of telling people that Magnum (in its original form) is a self-propelled artillery piece instead of a tank

And with Hopper it's about being able to jump over the obstacles / terrain that every other hull has to navigate (and stunning & burning) instead of whether it's "tank" enough

At the moment I'm just looking forward to blasting the little blighters out of the sky (with Smoky), but its OD does look OP

The point was initially that hovering hulls are not tanks therefore they have no place in tanki which is a tank game.

To simplify: Ares and Hopper do not have their place in Tanki. Well, I do believe they have, and not only because we have accepted Overdrives and other augments before.

It is clear that the precise english oxford definition of tank has been shattered to pieces by Tanki with all the innovation added to the game. We can suggest Tanki to amend the game's name to reflect the deviation from the plan and rename it to Armoured Fighting Vehicles (Boyevyye Bronirovannyye Mashiny) or Riddler's Game. While WOT is indeed true to its name you will find a zillions of tanks and all with caterpillar tracks, and no special abilities.

We have yet to see the final stats of the hull, but the hull has quite some desirable strong points:
- able to jump from one level to another and over obstacle would be useful in specific maps for attacking or escaping. However this is a drawback on flat maps as it will make it you more visible when jumping.
- able to suddenly jump and block enemy can save you from being shout at and escape melee turret with less damages.
- be able to jump, stun and wound opponent is useful for escaping with a flag. Can be used in a similar way as Hunter does tactic to stall opponent at choke points and jump over them.

Here is some info I received from someone who bought the kit:

Lightweight construction augment does not influence the OD of hopper hull.

The drift of the hull is absurd. It is very difficult to turn in full speed without drifting a lot. Especially if you have speed boost. Thus, it will be very difficult to dodge enemy attacks when running away with a flag or trying to squeeze to narrow paths.

MK6 stats: armor 1647, speed 10.51, turn speed 129.4, mass 2141, power1324.

That makes it less fast than Wasp (11.51) and Hornet (10.95) at the same modification.

Just when you think it can't get anymore worse, they come up with this. Really Tanki, jumping tanks? Are you guys crazy or what? Just stick to "normal" tanks on tracks. No floating, jumping or hoovering tanks

We have a turret that's allegedly made by a backyard scientist attaching a leaf blower to a refrigerator. I don't think hopping tanks are particularly far-fetched ?

Yes and Yes.

Either way you slice it a hull like Hopper should not be added to this game.  Unfortunately that ship has sailed and they never can put the genie back in the bottle.

It's not that they are "far-fetched".

It's that they don't belong in the physics of the game.  Who wants to play "defender" in assault when these hulls with leaping ability can just bypass the defenses?

It's like Magum does not belong.  An indirect fire turret in a game designed for LOS turrets.  Plenty of walls and buildings to prevent being hit by all turrets except magnum.  But very few places in most maps players can take cover from plunging fire.

Hopper OD and Magnum just don't belong.

ok so for me this price is way too much // mainly seeing that  Ares was only 100 crystals .  the hull is  out of my price range.. if I'm going to buy anything it will be for my real life and not  a game..  Russia prices are cheaper and you will be finding more of them buying..

russians get the hull 50% off

Maps arent made to deal with magnum. thats it.

when in paladins or overwatch i ask someone to pick tank, i dont mean for them to hit up the devs, add a tank in game and play as that one.
Here what you control is a tank. There are hulls and turrets.
I actually have hoped for years tanki would add wheeled vehicles which may excell at forward/backwards mobility, but be complete garbage at steering.
Tracks are slow, but they have insanely good traction. Tires are light, therefore faster than tracks, but have usually worse traction. Hovercrafts use insane ammounts of energy, any repairs would be insanely difficult, most likely would be easy to damage. Recoil would also be a massive problem. And if you got your tank to hover, why not make it fly? oh... i forgot... Thats what choppers are for.
If technology existed to make hovertanks, most likely we wouldnt make them, because there are other vehicles which would outperform them.

if you cant deal with magnum because he is across the map shooting at you from behind walls, tell some shaft user to deal with it, or simply use your keyboard to move the tank. If youre moving, magnum cant land accurate shots on you. Also, mortars have been mounted to military vehicles before.

It depends on how high you jump and when. If you are at the highest point, then you can't get shot by a player at the initial level. If you jumped just before the enemy shot, then you're dead, cuz Railgun has good vertical aiming.

The white angle is the vertical auto-aim for raigun. Its not much better than any other turret.

Well since we have to play the game on a map... I don't see your point.

If 50% of the maps were like Subway or Esplanade it wouldn't be as much of a problem.  But none of the maps are like Subway or Esplanade so...  ?‍♂️

in bomb testing site, if it doesnt have any bomb protection, then the bombs arent at fault. The testing site is.
If tanki made more houses, taller walls, some top-covered areas, like in industrial zone etc, unplugging your keyboard and orrowing it to a friend now would be a valid strategy to defend yourself from magnum and capture flags.
If people bought their own keyboards they would still be able to move, which would mean there is no need to redesign maps. I mean, if every user had a keyboard they wouldnt need to cry that magnum shot a still object across the map.

There are 100 Ultra Containers included there, which cost around $85, then 2 Augments, each around $40.

So it's like 85+40+40=$165, minus a bundle discount.

but your forgetting that in Canada we have to pay extra on top of this price. along with service fee's for paypal .. it ends up around $30.00 or more

example the gold box's for $22.99 plus exchange rates   1 CAD = 0.730617 USD   ends up to be $31.47 the higher the amount the more I end up being charged for..
