You either use it or soon you won't be able to play. We understand that you like Flash and don't want to move to HTML5. But Flash will be discontinued by Adobe and Flash version will be removed.

bro we all know that flash will be removed but still there are 90 days to go and why not keep it alive till the last moment and let the flash players enjoy to the fullest and i said this because there is a majority player base that is still on flash and they have accepted to move to html-5 after December but plz if u can, then talk to developers about this issue and let them keep flash till it fully dies in Dec and after that there is no other option for us but to accept the change. but please do something for now as it is a sudden shock to flash players what u guys did all of a sudden

Yo, do you guys really find it as a better solution to just move all the players to HTML5 in a moment instead of moving them smoothly?

I think we should give a proper ending to Flash. You could revert most of the last changes till mid October and then make a big celebration with a live stream, maybe have a photo-shoot, drops some gold, have God-mode making a special appearance... make a count down to increase the excitement ... in other words "do a proper leaving do". Why not about make a video Contest "your best moment with flash" and have special flash themed missions. As long as it is fun and joyful it would be far better. A special Flash paint/animated paint or skin or bundle, whatever as long as it leaves a token of memory to players. At the moment it feels like a gloomy atmosphere, while we should finish on a positive mood. Flash was great, let it remember and be thanks-full to it.

Then after the celebration, only Html5 available. Then remaining/rebel players have 2 weeks to mourn and switch before Halloween big event with only Html5 (and mobile).

Like this you save 6 weeks from unnecessary development and time consuming testing on Flash and stop making silly pop up and web pages re-redirection. And devs can focus on Html5 improvement and future development.

Everybody will be happy (most of them, but more than now), good celebration and a descent ending for an old tech/old tanki that we all loved and had good time playing with.

I think pulilng the band aid off would be much better than the death by a 1000 paper cuts.  In my own experience I thought the HTML5 was horrible but in the end it was my video card that needed a software upgrade.  I did that and the HTML5 version works fine.  Now if the devs would only do something about the rampant hacking that seems to be dominating the game lately.

I agree with this. If anything this will actually show that they care completely and they will show that to a bigger audience.

The amount of complaining over switching from a working client to another better working client with very simple interface changes is honestly bewildering to me...

I use HTML5 whenever I play Matchmaking battles, it works 10x better than the Flash version. I don't understand why some people are so reluctant to switch to the HTML5 version. Sure, the graphics might not be the best right now, but I ensure you, they will fix this in the coming months, as they won't need to support the Flash version anymore.

weve grown up with flash, we dont wanna leave it for a totally different interface and design. they could simply copy the flash interface into their own thing, they didnt need to redesign it. though it isnt impossible to adapt, its just too much to put up with. im personally using it kinda as an excuse to leave since i need a deciding reason, along with xp being kinda rexted since they put red outlined on your enemy which kinda defeats the idea of skills

I don't understand why they haven't just pulled off this bandage in one fell swoop. Do Flash players really want to stay in a watered-down and restricted game? I understand nostalgia being a big factor here, possibly also that some players just don't have the specs for HTML5 but do for Flash, but at this point in a little over three months it won't matter at all. Tanki Online as I knew it back in middle school is dead already and given the Early Access fiasco I'd say this new thing wearing it's skin like some grotesque mockery of my favorite MMO won't be far behind it. I give the new Tanki a year at most before Alterniva Platform really goes to far and not even the next big sale can redeem them.

I think the announcement in the Flash Client should be clearer.

I don't think many will understand "New Engine! New Possibilities!", then it says "Why we have decided to move to HTML5", which sounds like by your choice you are ending the Flash Client.

How about something like this:

"This Tanki (Flash) client will stop working soon!"

[Days Left]

"Download the new Tanki (HTML5) client now!"

[Download]

"Why: ..."

"When: ..."

[Temporary access]

Then maybe put back the Battle Modes, because many are probably doing missions and can't do them in HTML5.

Better getting rid of it instead of saying it's supported until december and doing such nonsense, imo

@Marcus You normally force me to completely remove the game from my life. I had an HTML5 version and I didn't even get into battle ... 5 minutes loading on the menu and waiting for battle took over 10 minutes, then the game crash for me. You can't convince me with this nonsense, I've been playing the game for almost 7 years and this is where it finally ends for me ...

Good question.
TO is crippling the Flash Client bit by bit: A limb goes one week, 2 weeks later another one. As from today what is left of it? One MM mode, the Pro battles menu, the garage, the chat and the shop. Shop would be the last time to go for sure ?. Therefore the next limb to go in the next 2 or 3 weeks will probably fully disable you to play in the client. Yes, flash would be still available and alive but in reality you won't be able to do anything remotely linked to playing or fighting. Therefore about mid/end October that is it when flash client is actually dead, and that is much earlier than the announced deadline.

Keeping flash alive means that developers are still spending time on checking that new addition to HTML5 and mobile are working on Flash. Time that could be used to better thing. I am pretty sure that Tesla turret is not compatible (or tested) with Flash, so it would nor be launch till flash is around. The HTML5 client is actually running good and is ready, why would we wait longer to fully use it? So the sooner they unplug flash the better, this is beneficial to all players (mainly HTLM5 players of course, current and future). The ones that stay on Flash either do not want to play HTML5 anyway (no need to wait till then end and try to change their mind) or wait the last moment to do the move (so unplugging it now or later is the same for them).

As you see there is no good reason to wait longer, but doing it Mid October will give enough time for TO to turn the table around and to prepare for a nice Flash send-off event (and for player to enjoy a small victory). It gives enough time for TO advertise the event long in advance and let the words spread around to gather more players for the final day. In exchange after that is they would have to worry about Flash and life could go on.

As of now, the latest Friday's crippling has hit hard the few players still on Flash so they are fully aware of the nearing end of it, Dev should use that to revert all the features temporarily till they definitely cut Flash in 2/3 weeks time. I would say it is a good thing they did it like this so they can now do it right.

I grow up with attari, with nintendo ds, the first is gone and the second stopped recently. It is sad yes, but you can't stay young forever too.

Sorry but that is a kind of  cringy reason. I can't disagree with the second reason though, but there is still possibility to ask them to have an option to remove the red outline for those who wants to.

I think HTML5 stuff need to be optional... red outline...radar... and stuff like that

But surely will not be solved it is a truth!

Because when we report some bug first answer from you is "What is your problem?" and the report is explained and send a picture but no "What is your problem?"

And after second report on a answer you return us a bot answer to clear a cache and Bla Bla truch something to do that don't work.

Do a job or be fired or go away.

Clearing your browser/client's cache usually solves many known issues so we recommend players trying this out, it takes a few minutes and it's not hard at all. I can assure you we pass all the bugs players complain about. Instead of being negative all the time, take a few minutes to write a proper paragraph about the bugs you experience or about the improvement you want to see in the HTML5 version of the game.

You want to play games with interfaces designed in 2009. You want  new players to play Tanki and want Tanki to have 100K+ online, but new players don't like the Flash 2009 interface.

It's like you wanna drink a cup of tea but you do not want it to be in any container, you just want tea liquid itself. That's impossible.

This would be the best way for Flash to go. Great idea. We should celebrate Flash and give it a nice and happy ending.

It would be nice if the outlines and radar were optional things, and turning them off would mean that other players couldn't see your outline or see you on the radar (similar to how non-passive radar is used in real life in some military situations, using radar gives away your position so you don't use it all the time)

But unfortunately, I think the outlines and radar are there to stop mobile players from getting massacred by desktop players, and the advantage that a desktop player would gain by turning them off to be stealthy would be too much
