EMP effect does not make you cease control of your tank. It just forcefully removes all active supplies and  reloads all your supplies.

Now, Hopper overdrive can stun enemies and burn them, but it cannot take away their active supplies nor impose a forced reload of supplies upon enemies. 

Oh, okay, now I get it. The stun effect also doesn't allow you to use supplies during its duration (which I confused with EMP). Thanks for the clarification!

Yes, exactly.

There's also the issue of being able to instantly force players to drop flags and balls, as opposed to doint it with a 1.1 second delay.
The overdrive also charges way too quickly — scoring a single goal already gives you 70% charge, and there appears to be no cooldown on how soon you can start earning OD charge points, meaning you can jump, score a goal, get a couple kills and be ready to jump again literally seconds later.
On top of that, it has the same exploit that Ares used to have. If you jump and die soon after, you can retain your OD charge almost completely, so you can jump up towards a falling gold box, catch it, die instantly, and have OD ready again when you respawn. This is a problem.

I'm keeping my distance from Hopper with Hunter / Smoky and using my OD on other hulls, but Hopper OD is a bit OP

But also having a lot of fun killing Hoppers from a far, killed five in a row in my last battle, like shooting fish in a barrel

That's because many players are using less upgraded Hoppers in Legend-level battles. I think after a few days people will change back to normal hulls, and in a few months we'll have mostly fully upgraded Hoppers appearing in battles.

thanks At_Shin. Think i had a decent run on the hopper. It has a slight advantage in catching golds on maps that are big. You need to have at least a MK7 to enjoy using the hopper. Otherwise, you are just cannon fodder for folks.?

When I plan to buy Hopper, I will buy it on Black Friday 2020 when there is a 50% sale on hulls. I will buy MK7 during those sales. I can't wait for them. Hopefully, I hope that Tesla will be released before Black Friday, this year.

Chiaramente il carro volante è un rovinare il gioco, quando mai e dove avete visto carri volanti nella realtà ?

E' un carro poco maneggevole , che ha solo la velocità come lato positivo. Spero che molti dopo la foga del primo minuto lo abbandonino e tornino ai carri normali così da equilibrare il gioco , già troppo scompensato da chi può spendere e da chi no.

 

Clearly the flying chariot is a spoiling game, when ever and where have you seen flying chariots in reality? It is an unwieldy wagon, which has only speed as a positive side. I hope that after the heat of the first minute many will abandon it and return to normal wagons so as to balance the game, already too decompensated by those who can spend and who cannot.

I have just decided that I will report people using a low Mk Hopper in these high rank battles (if they are a poor performer).

Intentionally using weak equipment is a form of sabotage (read the rules). I was in a battle yesterday with two Hoppers on my team, and both had a GS in the 5000 range. Between the two of them, they got a grand total of 1 kill.

Agreed. Especially with Hoppers recent release it is plausible and understandable that many players want to test out the new hull. If one feels the need to do that, either make a private PRO-battle or go to the test-servers

Or buy it on a low-ranked alt account. Thats what I did.

That's what I did. I did put a lot of feedback about Hopper. I have great love for the Hopper hull and even Ares. In fact, I do like all turrets, hulls and other equipment that was added over the years in Tanki Online.

The objective of the game is battle between tanks, what is the point of creating FLYING SHIPS? This completely ruined the way players had to obtain gold boxes in the past ...

It is just as frustrating to lose a gold box to a hopper as it is to a hacker. It's the same thing.

In addition, this hull has an extremely strong overdrive and totally unbalances the system of picking up gold boxes.

1 * Immobilizes all nearby tanks for several seconds (enough time for the gold box to fall and be caught by the noob using a hopper)

2 * Causes seconds of burn damage (each burn takes 300 life from each tank)

3 * FLIES ABSURDELY HIGH!

What is the other overdrive in the game that does so many things? Each overdrive has a feature in the game, the hopper does not, it does several things, and it is the perfect overdrive to frustrate you in events, just like a hacker.

What are gold events for now? If to get them you will practically ALWAYS have to use this hull?

My idea is to remove part of the hopper's overdrive as immobilization power, and flight, AND LEAVE ONLY THE BURNING DAMAGE and add a power to make the tanks around, slow.

Fix this hopper nonsense, please, it ruined the game even more ...

And there is also one thing, because this hull is like a ship, it is always above the ground, so there is a bug, that both a hull is like a hull hopper, when they collide with a normal tank, they climb on top of it, which also favors them to get the gold boxes :/

I went behind the house ( on the hill ) and used OD to get on the roof. I could have just been sitting here for the entire match. GG ?

Yes, this was a good idea. Bringing hopper in the world of Tanki Online was the right thing to do because we need a hover hull that can jump. It makes perfect sense to have a jumping hull in Tanki Online.
