Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

how about a hull that floats ? we've all seen concept art of futuristic tanks that have no treads, like one that has anti-gravity generators underneath.

said hull wouldn't be affected by mines but in order to balance it out it can be afected more by the kick back (or recoil) of weapons it fires or when it's been hit--since it has no treads--the impact should end up even driving it off course when shot by ricochet or smoky.

 

what do you guys think ?

A hull that can change his speed and decrease its Armour or it can increase Armour and decrease speed it would be like a hull with normal height and weight it change its feature using o and p. Tank can increase speed with o and decrease speed with p or vice-verse for Armour and if tank has dealt damage half and if he increase or decreases Armour dealt damage will remain half ed IT would be an awesome hull

Then u would have every hull in one? Not fair

New textures for hulls maybe? I mean upgraded skin for hulls,create more gray textures for hulls,its almost long time since last created textures, i think now its time to do it guys

new textures would be great. But I think those will already be coming up in Tanki X

He actually provided good reasoning for his claim, and you only made fun of him. Firebird actually is pretty OP, and not just the M1 version. Thunder, on the other hand, is very UP, since it takes *3* hits on average to destroy a wasp, during which time that same wasp can charge the Thunder and kill it with an isida, firebird, freeze, hammer, ricochet, or smoky. Seriously, any of these could do the job faster than the Thunder. Not to mention the impact force from the hammer, rico, and smoky forcing the Thunder to miss a shot. Ricochet's bouncing shots aren't necessarily OP, but combined with great stats Ricochet's a superb weapon, bordering on OP. I wouldn't say that it's that good though. Seriously though, I'd like to see Firebird rebalanced...

Firebirds are extremely short ranged. Moreover u have paints like loam and Zeus which therefore balances firebird's power. Thunder has become UP due to the huge number of paints that offer good protection against it, otherwise when u read thunders stats, they are quite powerful.

Tanki should add a Dictator or Hunter XT because XT items can be used in parkour for style like TFP does, and the other XT items are also used in parkour, so why not give the other parkour turrets and hulls their XT versions too? One of these hulls should be introduced as a new XT alongside Hammer.

XT has no benefits except appearance improvement , idk why tankers go desperate on them for 500k .  

 

 

 

My hull idea :- New Heavy hull with more speed than titan , height of a hunter , slightly less HP than a titan , lowest turning and acceleration .

For a new hull, I suggest a giant stuckywad. This is a large, green, round, squishy hull that rolls around to move. The advantages of this turret are that you can mount up to five different turrets on it. The bad news is that you can not turn any of these turrets, and since the hull is completely round, the only way to move would be to roll around like a giant ball. The turrets are also randomly placed around the surface of your hull, so most of them won't even be pointed in any useful direction at any point in time. Sometimes some will be pointed up, sometimes some will be pointed directly downwards, all depending on which direction your giant, ball-shaped tank is currently placed. The advantages are, you will never flip over, if your tank is nothing but a large ball, it becomes impossible to flip, and also if you roll downhill you can gain large amounts of speed.

A hover-tank.

 

This tank has decent armour and average speed but who needs it when you can hover?! It is immune to mines when it is moving at full speed or accelerating but mind you, that does take a while. When decelerating, it will be vulnerable to mines and slowly sink closer to the ground when it stops and act like any ordinary hull would.

 

 

It has speed similar to Viking and armour in between the latter and Dictator (both at M0). However, it trades off maneuverability and stability to do so (and acceleration). It falls very flatly and quite far but will often be knocked out of kill ring of a Gold Box drop zone or flag. Any medium-long ranged weapon (exception of Vulcan) and Ricochet will push it back when it is at a standstill and will greatly decelerate it when moving towards and vice versa (useful in Parkour then, maybe). Using high-powered weapons will not shift it as severely because of clever engineering by the Tank designers and scientists (as well as help from brave testers). 

 

Also, the hover height cannot be changed and presents a target in large open maps- and don't even try to hide behind short, shallow ramps; it doesn't work. 

 

M1 specs:

 

Armour: 182.5

Speed: 7.34

Acceleration: 4.55

Turning speed: 52

 

Price: 30,000

Unlocked at: Warrant Officer 2 (M2 at Lieutenant Colonel, M3 at Fieldmarshal)

what about m2 and m3 and i didnt like ure idea cause a hover craft could fly take enemy flag and fly back it can be invincible and parkouring will be useless then using a hover craft u could simply fly over an isida place a mine and the isidas cant do a thing close range weopons cant do any thing long range can only kill it if they are on a cliff else the hover craft is invincible and this can also be used in hacking or usage of 3rd party software and for a hover craft the hp should be less then wasp and speed a bit more than wasp and have u ever seen a flying tank :blink: this is tanki online not helicoptri online or something else flying nah it could be something that can fly or remain in air for some time but the hover craft idea nah

No it couldn't 'just fly over and grab the enemies flag'. It doesn't FLY. It hovers above the ground. That It stays at a relatively low level (below height of any hulls with turret). 

 

It is not invincible, it flys at height reachable to any and all weapons. A Firebird's flames spill up a bit       (around the height of all hulls), so even that can damage it. 

 

No i have not seen a hover tank but conventional hover-craft which ride on a cushion of air can easily carry MBTs (main battle tanks) with weight in excess of 60 tons (60,000kg). This tank (by my specs) hovers by using an magnetic levitator. High-speed trains currently use this. They weigh far more than any tank and can still levitate above the actual tracks. This is a game so anything can be real.

So it's a medium hull, right? Cuz that sounds right for a hovercraft, since hovering vehicles wouldn't be super fast (aside from that train, cuz the train operates in a vacuum tube so...) Explanation is good, but can it flip when using something like Vulcan, which can flip itself while mounted on a Viking while falling through the air. If it cannot flip while in the air, then it becomes pretty crazy while used with the Vulcan...

Yeah it probably should be able to flip itself when jumping. It's already a pretty unstable hull under fire and the recoil-dampening thing only works when it's on the ground. And yes, medium hull. Special medium hull.

The developers actually mentioned some ideas about two hulls:

 

The concept of the first hull would make it a hovercraft. It hovers, above the ground. It can be easily pushed around by hulls (so its not flying) and the knock-back force from projectiles (which, obviously, come out from turrets). Mines should still be able to hit this hull. Now, the good thing about this hull is that its extremely hard to flip and it can "fall off cliffs" without any risk of landing upside down. It should be considered a medium hull and should have the health and speed of something around Viking and Dictator's health and speed.

 

The concept of the second hull would be a hull that could only fire when its not moving (this does not include movement of the turret). This hull, as it compromises its opportunities to fire, should have good health, moderate speed, and everything else you would likely find in a heavy hull.

Real hovercrafts can run over minefields with ease...

one that looks like a formular one car and its the front is corner shaped so its aerodynamic so therefore it should be fast :D

Don't forget how light it also has to be too. That means less heavy armour.
