Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Two new hulls: the heaviest light hull and the lightest heavy hull. Heavy hull would have an Overdrive which creates a "toxic area" around the hull (credit to Skills.n.Girls for this idea in this topic: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=363242 ). It would be called "Golliath". Light hull would have an overdrive which makes it invisible for a short period of time, like in Tanki X. It would be called Ghost. It's Overdrive would not hide sound, shadows and dust. Hornet's Overdrive would allow these tanks to be visible. It could be a hover tank, as devs have said they will add one (proof: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=237515&hl=+hover%20tanki&page=1)

I really liked the way it was with the old version with the buying and the ranks to get the turrets.  I read your regulations keep in mind this is different.  I suggest you put the turrets to the regular ranks when you are aloud to buy them.  Next, I suggest that you actually slightly higher the prices for example if I remember correct the isdia  is 400 it use to be 1,000s.  I suggest making that to it's original price except a little lower.  It gave me something to strive for and how easily you can get them.  In my opinion it lowers the fun quality in the game.  In the game it made it harder to get it and you value that gun even more for the price.  I suggest if you also do this just make it a little bit more worth while like make it a little more powerful.  I think having them at such low prices and such low ranks ruins it for me.  Finally I have been playing for years now and I working my butt off to get all the guns (except the two new ones(makes me get them at m1) which makes some of my crystals go to waste and unlike some players I don't buy em so I put a lot of time into getting the crystals.  As they say time is money.  Now i'm not asking for an exchange of crystals or anything like that I just want them back to more higher ranks and more crystals for the guns.  (I know this because I have two low rank profiles) salazzar, and bakaambush.  Please consider this, thank you for your time.  Feel free to comment down below on your opinions about this.  The comment section is always open and I would love to hear your suggestions about this.

According to the laser turret i mentioned in the new turrets discussion (real high in impact force ad knockback, but not so good in damage), i'm suggesting a hull to counter the affect, it would be like a fortress, with the armour of a heavy hull, and a speed aroud that of mammoth's. It all seems to be really normal, but here's the trick: when you press the up and down key together twice, the tank will glow blue for 3 seconds, but you will not be able to shoot or move), after that the tank will have 25-40% more of the full armour (gains health and enlarges the armour capacity), and become entirely knockback and push resistant, but unable to turn the hull or move. To turn back to nomal, you just have to press up and down together twice, and you glow red and return normal after 3 seconds (both the processes stop if you are hit or pushed by a friendly or enemy tank), after returing to normal, you will lose 25-40% of the armour capacity and current armour, to make things fair.

And this is basically it, thank you for reading this and please consider adding this to the game.

I've also come up with an overdrive idea, upon activating, the hull will continuously blast out shockwaves in all directions (1 per second), pushing targets away from the tank while damaging them for 30 seconds, the range will be 200m, and the damage will be 20 at M0, 40 at M1, 60 at M2, and 80 at M3, 100 for a fully upgraded M3. Note that the damage decreases by range, the shockwaves will be blocked by obstacles.

PS: give this hull a codename too.

there should be an update where you can upgrade your weapon beyond the next modification, e.g. if you have 10/10 upgrades for thunder m0 there shouldbe option to keep upgrading the next modification, in this case thunder m1

that was meant for hulls as well as turrets

Modern day tanks can fit two guns because one is a large caliber cannon and the other is a machine gun . . .

I've yet to see a practical tank design that fits more than one tank gun.

Two main armament cannons on an MBT isn't yet possible, however a main armament that can use multiple and various shell types has been, and they are still in use today.

 

For example, take the experimental MBT-70, a joint USA-German project. It shared designs features of what were going to be the M1A1 Abrams MBT and the Leopard Mk2 MBT, for each country respectively.

 

The biggest stand out feature of the MBT-70 was the gun, an experimental 152mm Gun Launcher, which could fire typical APFSDS shells, HEATFSDS shells, and a special guided anti-tank rocket. 

 

If we had a turret in Tanki that offered the ability to swap between various shells, we would have much larger variety in gameplay and playstyle.

 

EDIT: I just remembered there are quite a few APCs to date that carry 2-4 low caliber autocannons, 20-30mm standard, I believe there was a design with a dual 45mm.

Best example I find was the Russian BMPT "Terminator" Heavy IFV.

APCs aren't designed for the anti-tank role though. I guess one could bring up the M3 Lee, but that 37mm probably wasn't very effective.

Uh...? M3 Lee? APC? What whacky universe have I entered lol. I know the M3 Lee as a medium from WoT that has a 37mm pea shooter that you can't even use and a highly effective 75mm gun...

I didn't mean the Lee was an APC. I meant that it was a tank with more than one gun.

Ohhh. Yeah the M3 Lee wasn't even very effective, according to what wikipedia.

 

It had severe issues involving how the gun was mounted within the hull, preventing it from using hull-down positions, and the 37mm gun was only effective against thin skinned Panzers and infantry. The 75mm was the star of the tank but again, it had issues. But, when it comes to APC's, I think one can safely assume that the BMPT was designed with at least light anti-armor in mind. I mean, guided AT rockets and dual high velocity 30mm ACs? If it doesn't kill tanks, it definitely kills enemy APC's.

Hello everyone !

 

I had some ideas if you were thinking of designing a new hull;

A hull called ' Flash ', it could be solid looking, with a plow at the front of it. With the plow its could have the ability to flip or turn other players over by charging at them. The reason it would be called ' Flash ' is because it would have lights on the front and side of the hull, the lights will be red when the player is on the red team and blue for when on the blue team, and maybe green when in a single player death match.

See, the problem is that the "new hull" having a plow in the front would wreck havoc on other teams, its would a cause a problem because it would flip over the enemy team and gives the team a defense advantage when they are on higher ground's, especially in CTF and noise. May want to fix the plow with"The plow will make the hull heavier but it'll have more armor" hope this helps  ;)

I believe that there should be a hull that can fit two guns. Look at any picture of a modern day tank. it has TWO or more weapons. Why is it not like that for us?

​The Conquer 


 This is a heavy hull like titian and mammoth, this hull is super heavy but it is actually has a 500hp difference .


 


The adjustment is that  its speed is reduced and it can not travel through narrow spaces + the issue of gravity giving if it falls and a last adjustment it has the slowest hull turning of all the heavy weights.


 


But as the name says this tank with a proper escort of isida and fire bird can conquer or infiltrate as base with ease but not speed.


 


This tank would be best to take full blunt force of all enemy mines or players guarding the flag. It would be best to use double armor and speed also it be logical not to take the flag but to pass it on.


 


Another tip the best usage of turret + this hull would be a splash damage turret like thunder or fire bird.

Flipping would be a problem and people will be reporting players using this to troll.

Maybe it can be used for parkour only? Wouldn't hurt to have tankers test it out.

I believe these topics are freely open to everybody's opinions so pretty much his opinion does matter. lol

I do have to agree with ThirdOnion its just another mammoth or a combination of titan and mammoth mushed together.

Hello guys!

The hull's Name:SPACE ROVER,

 

Description: 

This hull has it's own classification, it's neither light-medium-or heavyweight, but it's kinda in the middle, I would classify it as a Light-Heavyweight hull, 

 

1).SPEED; The SPACE ROVER'S speed is kind of...well Titan, Dictator'ish or to be clear, its in the middle, That Means it Will neither be too slow, nor will it be too fast, Making it good for Medium to small maps but it will not be as efficient in Bigger Maps, Even though Its still better than a mammoth./Max Speed M0=6.30/Max speed M3=7.70-7.80

 

2).PROTECTION; the Protection of the hull is in the middle too(in other words medium-Heavy, or Light Heavy weight) That means it's protection will be around 1700, Making it good for Any game mod as it will last longer than other Medium Hulls, But this hull is especially good at DM's and TDM's /Protection M0=1700/Protection M3= 2847

 

3).TURNING SPEED; the hulls turning speed will be around 70.0. Meaning that it will ensure some speed. but it will also ensure that it won't be very fast, This will make it an Easy Target for Freezes, so you better watch your back./Turning Speed M0=70.0/Turning speed M3=105.0-120.0

 

4).WEIGHT; This Hulls weight almost topples them all (except mammoth), That Means It will be Extremely hard to knock this hulls aim off, But it also means it will be twice as hard getting it airborn, However combining this Hulls weight and it's Moderate Height can Make it good for goldbox hunter's who aren't in a hurry. (NOTE: this hull will move almost like a normal tank in space mode, that means no parkour but it also means you can at least control yourself)/Weight M0=2100/Weight M3=3400)

 

5).POWER; The hulls Power is Very High although not high enough As Dictator And Mammoth, but It can still Push A Viking over a ledge, And can move a wasp-hornet out of its way/Power M0=950/ Power M3=1300

 

6).Others; the unique feature about this Hull is that it has 4 Caterpillars instead of Just Two, It Doesn't change much but it still makes the tank look a little good :P

is there ever going to be a hull that will "mount" itself to gain an armor boost but it cannot move. It would automatically loose its extreme armor ability when it is moving.

probably take half of the damage given when it is not moving but cannot move the hull.

 

I'm thinking the speed would be like about a Dictator ish. maybe slower

the protection would probably be about the protection of a hunter 

its specialty is that it would take half damage from attacks when "mounted". it can then only move its turret.
