Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Hey is there a new turret and hull coming out? How does everyone know!? There's no news on it!!!

Barely anyone uses light hulls anymore unless in XP/BP. 

 

Everyone wants everyone else to be using light hulls because it is easier to kill. 

 

We should buff the speed of light a little bit and the armor a little bit so more people would use it. Then everyone, no matter what turret/hull combo they use, will enjoy the game more because it is easier to destroy others. 

 

The game is too slow because every player is using titan or viking and they take too long to kill.

I disagree. Light hulls are already very powerful when used with skill. In CTF they can sneak by defenders and steal the flag without the enemy being able to land a single shot on them. I know because I've done it and I've seen it done by others. Also, light hulls aren't as popular simply because they require a more particular type of gameplay style which is less common than the generic playstyle, for which Viking or Hunter suits best. If you join RGB and ASL battles, you'll notice a lot more light hulls, since speed is a lot more important in those game modes.

Maybe make Wasp just a tiny bit less likely to tip over in a stiff wind. 

 

But there will always be those of us with a need for speed and so always light hulls. Cowabunga!

I am against breaking the laws of physics.

 

Seriously though, they are awesome already. I wouldn't mind a buff though because I have a light hull

How bout the headlights on the tanks actually work?

 

So you can see better in the night maps or be able to signal teammates from high places.

 

you could turn them on by clicking "H" and off again by the same thing, when you spawn, they will be off by default.

 

just a thought  :rolleyes:

Nice lets make our tanks cars

The devs will do it cause they just did something like it for some hulls

Light hulls are hard to control. They take more individual skill from the player, like the Scout from TF2. If we just buff them directly then that would remove what makes them special in comparison to the usual mediums. Buut I'm just a Titan main, I know nothing about light hull gameplay.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi peoples!

 

    This may not relate to hulls as much as just game alterations, but my idea is that the creators and designers of Tanki would make a more advanced variety of explosions when a tank gets eliminated. The game would overall be more fun if the way you got destroyed (isida vs thunder) affects the way the tank brakesdown. A subtle state of being annihilated (isida) would just result in a shutdown of the tank (1. slide 2. then disappear) vs. a more rough elimination (thunder) would entirely wreck the armored vehicle in a twisted mess (1. stop 2. sort of fall apart 3. disappear immediately). I hope you take this idea into consideration as it has been the same since I ever played.  ;)

Hopefully once they finish with those big updates, they will focus on other small things, let's hope so.

I would like hull alterations. Ex Wasp: M1 alteration: Faster, but weaker M2 alteration stronger. but slower

M3 would be lighter hull but you would have lower speed and so on.

The whole idea behind Hornet seems to be that it's a fast hull with low HP. So far so good, makes sense for the most part. Things a little interesting when you compare it to Hunter/Viking. Hornet is supposed to faster than these hulls and it is, but by only 15-25% depending on the which one you compare it to and which M level it's at. And if you look at the HP difference, it's about 50% in most cases. These numbers don't add up at all, as the speed difference is really not significant when you consider that Viking/Hunter has 1.5 times the HP! To make matters worse, Hornet is so light that many Turrets can easy to put it "off balance" FRONTALLY. I get that making your enemy miss is an important part of the game mechanics but making them miss by simply using Spacebar when the Hornet is facing you frontally is just silly. I suggest that Hornet's HP pool and weight should be rebalanced to bring it in line with the other popular Hulls.

Hornet is light half, even though the HP is a bit much, still...that doesn't mean that a light hull can have the same HP as medium hull or close, well at least not that close in my opinion but that is me.

When it comes to speed, smaller increments make a much bigger difference. This is why Nitro supplies only give 40% extra speed, while DA and DD give 100% extra armour and damage. So the speed difference between Hornet and Viking may seem small, but in battles it makes a massive difference and is often better than having the extra 50% armour.

I was just playing hornet/railgun in normal CTF battle highland , I got 24 kills and 2 deaths , in another round i got 23 kills and 4 deaths with hornet , I'd say hornet is quite good actually.
