Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

2 more hulls will be more interesting, it creates variety. 2 news hulls are planned anyway: one heavy (with legs) and one light (hovering) - so you will have 3 hulls for each category. More details in the raw friday #1 and the newspaper

Balance for Hulls.


 


Okay tanki, we need to talk. For a while know I've have noticed that Wasp M2 has more hitpoints then Hornet M2, which makes absolutely no sense. And Viking M2 has more hitpoints then Hunter and Dictator M2, which also makes no sense seeing as they are bigger and slower. And Titan M1-M2 has more hp as Mammoth M1-M2. Thats not all, All the M0 light, medium, and heavy hulls have the same hitpoints, same with M3-M4. Making Wasp, Viking, and Titan the strongest hulls because there faster and stronger at some levels. So I'm here to fix that. Here are my balanced hulls...

And here we go, fixed hulls. I also updated there speeds just to make up for hp loss or gaining. Also yes I do know that if this were to happen then the prices will need to be changed. Yes I know but i will leave that up to Tanki.


 


Also with this balance of mine I wanted to put some new hull ideas of my own.


1 new fast hull and 1 new heavy hull. Here they are

The stats difference on lower modifications is intentional, and it's due to the rank difference. Wasp M2 unlocks a whole 5 ranks after Hornet M2, so by the time Wasp owners unlock M2 and buy it, Hornet owners will have already bought a few MU steps for their tank, which will make their Hornet's stats similar to the basic Wasp. At M3+ level all HP stats are balanced.

The devs already planned 2 new hulls somewhere in the future. One that hovers (light), and one that resembles a spider (heavy)

They've "planned" that before I even started the game. Those hulls will never happen.

I don't know, Hazel seems to be really keen on it, so I think they will be added once the current major projects are done. My guess for the time frame is second half of 2019.

How about this: 

All M0 Hulls unlock at Recruit

All M1 Hulls unlock at Warrant Officer 1

All M2 Hulls unlock at Major

All M3 Hulls unlock at Marshall (already implemented)

 

That way, there is no need for these fluctuating Health differences (like Wasp M2 with more hp than Hornet M2)

How about this:

GREAT this is exactly what we need (balancing the M1 and M2 hulls).

 

I think that hull speed is already balanced (pls do NOT make Viking and Titan faster, they would become OP) but the part with hull HP is GREAT.

 

Less players would use Viking due to lower HP and more players will (finally) use Hunter and Dictator. Dictator is currently used mainly by noobs and gold hunters.

new hull FLASH 

 

it don't have Wheels it's Moving by pneumatic jets....medium hull with medium armor 

 

not very fast but it is faster than viking.....not very flat.......like hunter in the body ......the second fat hull after dictator.....have medium power

i just wanna throw this idea out there but what if there was a hull with a abillity to jump.

think about all the potental. jumping to grab the gold box. or jumping over a tank to follow it up with a hammer shot

jumping in to the fray of combat.

a idea for a hull that does not drive on the ground but rather hovers a few inches off the ground (yet can still tigger land mines?) this gives the affect that your tank is always on ice. i.e it can hit a mean top speed but it struggles to come to a halt at that speed. also thanks to the auto stablization technology in it you always land on your treads. it also allows some sick dirfting. and you fall a bit slower. as for apperence it looks like a horent m0 with jet engines on the side moved around with robotic arms. the jet engines are the weak spot get hit there and hold on to your lunch. as you will helplessly spin in circles.

a funny idea lol, but I don't see them adding a hovering tank anytime soon. This (so they say) is a simulator, not really a sci-fi game.

Tanki online REALY needs new hulls. A hull that could be lighter and faster then wasp or heavyer than mammoth or titan. Or maybe just a hull with a different Overdrive and an aggressive, triangular design.

(When they will finaly add different overdrives) 

And name suggestions: --For the light hulls: Falcon, Eagle, Sting

                                      --For the heavy hulls: Crusher, Venom, Judgment 

 

 You can choose a name or add a few to the list.

 

(I am not an artist, so I don't have concept art.)

(but I would like to see some)

I've got an idea for a 6x6 wheeled light tank destroyer hull, but the proportion is the hard part.

so basicly an APC is what you are talking about?

Yes, basically something more than the size of a hornet, speed between the two other light hulls, but much better, and different maneuverability cos it has normal... wheels...

Make Mammoth able to push Titan

 

One of the primary aims for developers is to make sure that Tanki is balanced, and it is for the most part. Nonetheless, I feel that Mammoth should be able to push Titan. The thing is that both hulls have the same armour, so other characteristics such as speed, turning speed and weight make a difference. Titan is superior to Mammoth in every single way (including price) except for armour, which is the same hence mammoth is quite frankly obsolete. If Mammoth can push Titan, there would be a reason for someone to use Mammoth.

 

I assume this'll come up, so I'll address it before it does. All the other hulls have some reason to be chosen. Wasp is for players who really love speed and can play with skill enough that armour is not longer that important. hornet is for those who love racing games and can drift. Hunter is for people who want a medium hull which is chepa, viking is for those people who love balance, Dictator is for gold lovers and Titan is for heavy hull users, but Mammoth is outclassed by Titan in every way, so making it better in a few parameters is likely to revitalize it.
