Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Have a brilliant idea for a new hull or overdrive? A suggestion on how to improve hulls or their ODs? Post it here!

 

 

Now that all hulls have unique overdrives, more hulls are likely to come in the near future. Every new hull will have its own unique Overdrive ability, so if you're suggesting a new hull, make sure to come up with an overdrive for it too.

 

Feel free free to share what you have! The more details, the better. Images? Sketches? Comparisons? Share it all!

i would suggest a tank fatser than hunter and slower than wasp ( id it is faster or not than hornet you choose)it would have life like hornet(if it is faster less than hornet if it is not then less that hornet) it would be nice

It would be interesting to see Hunter reworked so that it looks the same forward and backward.

For some reason, it just doesn't fit in with the other Hulls, maybe it's just me......

Pointless topic as there is already a WHOLE forum where anyone can post his ideas and suggestions about the game separately. There's no need to divide this forum in several different sections. People might also feel limited by these 4 topics, and only share their ideas related to these four topics, thinking these four parts are the only parts in which Tanki Online is interested in. (-->if new ideas). By creating this topic, you (ignorantly, hopefully)limit people's imagination to only four topics, while there are thousands of them.

Pointless topic as there is already a WHOLE forum where anyone can post his ideas and suggestions about the game separately. There's no need to divide this forum in several different sections. People might also feel limited by these 4 topics, and only share their ideas related to these four topics, thinking these four parts are the only parts in which Tanki Online is interested in. (-->if new ideas). By creating this topic, you (ignorantly, hopefully)limit people's imagination to only four topics, while there are thousands of them.

You can still create topics, but the Moderators wanted these topics so that their job would be easier.

It's much harder to manage tons of small topics that might break the rules in some way than to have just a few large topics that focus on the same ideas, but are easier to manage.

felt 60% of all topics circle around new hulls, turrets and supplies. Buy collecting them in this topics you get less volume in terms or threads. Mor clearity. I think it was a good decision to aggregate them here.

Hello everyone !

 

I had some ideas if you were thinking of designing a new hull;

A hull called ' Flash ', it could be solid looking, with a plow at the front of it. With the plow its could have the ability to flip or turn other players over by charging at them. The reason it would be called ' Flash ' is because it would have lights on the front and side of the hull, the lights will be red when the player is on the red team and blue for when on the blue team, and maybe green when in a single player death match.

Flipping would be a problem and people will be reporting players using this to troll.

A hull that can change his speed and decrease its Armour or it can increase Armour and decrease speed it would be like a hull with normal height and weight it change its feature using o and p. Tank can increase speed with o and decrease speed with p or vice-verse for Armour and if tank has dealt damage half and if he increase or decreases Armour dealt damage will remain half ed IT would be an awesome hull

i think that would be impossible or very hard to make but good idea

A hull shaped like mammoth but much smaller like Viking and the speed should be between hornet to hunter. And armour like dictator.

..so basically a hornet with the armour of a dictator?

LOL, that Hull would make Mammoth, Viking, Hornet and Hunter obsolete.....sorry, but no.

Hull with fairly medium/low speed & armor, 

but it has an array of lightning like things

surrounding it so any tank that comes

close would be destroyed, and therefore

only sniping this hull would work.

 

:tank: Warrior  :tank: 

Hull expensive, hard to flip, fast.

Not much armor. Tanks that touch

it have damage dealt in medium

amounts. Should have spikes or

something like that on the edge.

What about a hull with 4-8 legs. It could be about medium speed and health but it could go over larger objects than most others. This would also make it taller than any other hull and easier to snipe.

this arguement does not stand firm..

also vulcan was introduced as an unlimited amo gun with great range and good precision. By introducing several drawbacks it was then balanced to the rest. Melee demage can also be balanced.

 

@Cyrus:

nice ideas. My concerns are:

- price is not a usefull thing to balance (price is a question of time here). You need something else to balance

- with a fast hull with light armour, I give away my speed advantage every time I bump into an enemy tank. Cause then I loose all my speed. So am I a hunt-one-tank-kamikaze runner then? Was this the plan?

 

Develop them further!
